The tension adjustment screw is covered by a round cover (one on each
side of the mic clip, two total). To remove the cover, grip the cover on both
sides as shown, and gently but firmly rock it straight out towards you, until
you can see a small gap between the sides of the cover and the mic clip.
Be very careful while doing this, especially if you want to put the covers
back on the clip after adjustment, because the covers are held onto the clip
by a very small plastic "pin", molded into the bottom of the cover. The pin
fits into a small hole in the bottom of the mic clip, and is held in place by a
"friction fit", and is easily broken if you pull sideways or down on the cover
while loosening or removing it.
