How to Correctly Load onto Roof Bars
When loading onto the roof bars, ensure the load is evenly distributed from centre (B). Don’t put most of the load to one side (A), as this will cause destabilisation, causing risk of danger to other motorists and road users. Also, please do not place a load that protrudes past the width of the roof.
When carrying load, we advise not to exceed the max. speed of 55 mph and that you use the appropriate number of quality tie down straps to secure the load in place. (Please do not use elasticated ropes.)
For longer loads, ensure you secure the ends of the load using a good quality buckle/ratchet or rope to the vehicle’s bumper (C).
