I. CODA CYCLORAMA LUMINAIRES
A. GENERAL
1. The Coda cyclorama luminaires shall be of modular construction to allow for three basic
versions: one, three and four light units. Each compartment shall accommodate a 500W
double-ended tungsten-halogen lamp.
2. The luminaires may be pipe or floor mounted for even coverage of backdrops and cycloramas.
B. MECHANICAL
1. The lamp house constructions shall be pressure die cast aluminum alloy end sections common
to all luminaires joined by machine threaded screws to pressed sheet steel housing. Anchorage
shall be provided for a safety bond.
2. The design shall allow for maximum heat dissipation assisted by convection ventilation.
3. The mounting and suspension of the single compartment units shall be of aluminum alloy,
reversible, with a 1/2 inch diameter friction disk and heat insulated hand knob. The yoke shall
be threaded to accept a C-clamp.
4. The mounting and suspension of 3 and 4 compartment units shall be reversible ‘L’ yokes, with
dual top suspension yoke/groundrow tilt foot. The units shall have a 1 /2 inch diameter
friction disk and an insulated hand knob. Two C-clamps shall be required for hanging unless a
swivel cross-bar is used.
5. Exterior finish shall be black high temperature stoved epoxy powder coat.
6. The weight shall be:
a. Coda 1: 8 lbs.
b. Coda 3: 18 lbs.
c. Coda 4: 22 lbs.
7. The luminaire shall have the following dimensions:
a. Coda 1: 8.3" L x 11" W x 11.8” H
b. Coda 3: 8.3" L x 29" W x 11.8” H
c. Coda 4: 8.3" L x 37.5" W x 11.8” H
8. The color frame shall be “book form” hinged with one side serrated for top or bottom ‘soft’
edge characteristics.
9. The color frame size shall be: 8.5" x 9.5".
C. ELECTRICAL
1. The supply voltage shall be 120V, 60Hz. Versions shall also be available for 220V operation.
2. The maximum wattage shall be 500W per compartment.
3. The unit shall utilize double ended tungsten halogen lamps, with an R7 base.

4. The unit shall be supplied with 3.0 ft toughened silicone rubber sheathed cable, bare ends or
connector as specified. There shall be one input cable per compartment
D. OPTICAL SYSTEM
1. The sockets shall be mounted within an asymmetrical textured anodised aluminum reflector
designed for maximum efficiency and smoothness of field.
2. Lamp access shall be through the front of each compartment by moving the wireguard.
E. ENVIRONMENTAL
1. The maximum ambient operating temperature shall be 115°F.
2. The maximum surface temperature shall be 450°F.
3. The recommended tilt angles of use shall be +45° to -75º.
F. PERFORMANCE
1. Hanging at 20 ft. 45° angle. 5.0' from cyclorama on 5.0' centers. FC Based on FDN 500W
Lamp.
