Rex PlusFeatures Include
Your choice of four sounds:
• Continuous sound of the rainforest
• Barking sound of a ferocious attack dog
• Sounds of the rainforest to announce the arrival of visitors
• Barking dog and warning siren
Very realistic - barking gets more frequent as intruder gets closer.
Switches from the watchdog to the tranquil sounds of nature with the simple slide of a switch.
Senses movement through walls, doors and glass.
Variable distance sensitivity (up to 30’) as well as volume control.
No installation required.
Operation Instruction
1. Insert the adaptor plug into the unit, then plug AC adapter into outlet.
2. Choose the feature you wish by adjusting the switch on the back of the unit.
a. Rainforest (sound is continuous). b. Watchdog - Switch on this function and start detecting any intruder or large moving objects. When
the intruder is 15 to 18 feet away, unit will bark once or twice. Barking gets more frequent as intruder gets closer.
c. Rainforest (entrance chime) - When the visitor is 15 or 18 feet away, the unit will sing the melody to
announce the arrival of visitors.
d. Watchdog and Warning Siren - When the intruder is within 15 to 18 feet, the device will bark and a
siren will alarm for 20 seconds.
3. Turn on the “VOLUME” switch and adjust the required “RANGE”. Note: Generally, the “RANGE” is adjusted to its maximum before delivery. Therefore, it needs no further
adjustment. In case it is too sensitive, turn the knob in a counter-clockwise direction to reduce the range.
Operation Instruction Caution: Rex Plus is designed for use indoors. Generally, the unit will not bark at a
moving object behind it, but it may at certain positions. In this case, try to change its position slightly to be most effective. The unit should be placed at a height of 3-5 feet from the floor to obtain the widest range of detection.
Detection Efficiency
Rex Plus’s radar waves can detect through a variety of materials with maximum efficiency. The following chart serves as a guide.
MATERIAL EFFECT ON RANGE Glass slight reduction Wooden Doors slight reduction Plaster Walls medium reduction Metal (steel, bronze, heavy reduction
aluminum) (detection is possible when metal is moving or there is a clearance.) Curtain Material slight reduction Fiberglass or Plastic full detection Paper Cartons slight reduction

FCC Approval
This device may not cause interference. This device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. 1. “Watch-Dog” is a structure of “RF TX/RX” device that transmits an RF signal, then detects the reflecting RF signal and senses the range. It then converts the signal to an audio alarm voice. The carrier frequency is generated by an LC resonant circuit “TR8”, “L3”, “C34”. Center frequency is 2.4G Hz, ASK/100% modulated, 4K modulation signal, 1/10 duty. 2. The power switch is used to control the “Watch-Dog” system power. 3. Within the signal processing module, there is a “RF TX burst” section. It will generate a burst pulse to control the RF module and then turn the RF transmission on. 4. When an object comes within detection range, it will reflect the RF energy back to the RF receiver.
5. The RF receiving module will demodulate the RF signal to the “signal-processing” module. 6. The range detection section will process an incoming signal and then send it to the “voice processor”. 7. The “voice processor” will send a different sound based on the “sound selection switch”. It will transmit from the “audio amp” to the speaker.
