Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the maximum operating temperature for the Sterl-Tronic Temperature Control Unit?

A: The upper limit is set at 250°F.

Q: What kind of heaters do I need to this temperature control unit?

A: There are available low watt density immersion heaters rated at 4-1/2 KW, 9 KW and 12 KW.

Q: Where can I source the pump for the size that I require?

A: The pump sizes vary between 3/4 H.P to 3 H.P. It depends on the circulation capacity required in Gallon per minute ( GPM ) and the discharge pressure for your application.

Q: Is there any specific water supply required?

A: Yes, it us recommended that the usable water supply pressure should not be less than 20 PSI and preferably it should be around 25 PSI for the equipment to function properly.

Q: Is it possible to use well water with this temperature control unit?

A: Yes, the unit is also suitable for city water supply, potable water, water from portable or central chillers and towers and well water.

Q: What maintenance should be performed on the immersion heater?

A: It is recommended that the heater should be checked regularly to ascertain about the scale build up and the corrosion which would otherwise affect the performance and longevity of the heater.
