Start-up
Insert the battery
Open the battery compartment. Insert the four AAA 1.5 Volt batteries with correct polarity. Close the battery compartment.
Switch on
Press the ON / OFF (8) button to turn on the instrument.
Calibration
Calibration of the device is possible by buffer solutions for up to 3 calibration points. We recommend at least 2-points calibration for optimal measuring results!
Before you start calibration of the Multi-Tester, fill the two measuring cups with the amount of buffer solution you need.
Now press the CAL button (10) to enter the calibration modes. The display shows CAL for approx. 2 sec. After that you can immerse the probe in the first buffer solution pH7 (green). The device automatically detects the calibration point and stabilizes the measurement.
After a stable value is reached, a Smiley icon appears on the display. Press the CAL button (10) again and the probe calibrates independently to the first value.

Before proceeding with the pH4 (red) buffer solution, please neutralize the probe: rinse it with distilled water and wipe it with a piece of cloth.
Repeat as before. After the calibration has been carried out on the second point, the third point can be calibrated directly, or you can exit the CAL mode by pressing ESC (8). This takes you directly to the measuring mode.
EC calibration is identical, here only first you should switch to the measuring range COND using the MODE button (9). Depending on the use, the Multi-Tester should be calibrated daily before starting a measurement session, or - when not used frequently - always before a measurement!
Measurement
Press the ON / OFF button (6) to switch the Multi-Tester on. In the measurement mode the display is blue. Press MODE (9) to select the desired measurement value. Insert the sensor then into the solution or
product to be measured and wait until the value is stabilized and appears. Now you can read the value on the display and select another measuring value or proceed with the measurement in further liquids or products.
However, we recommend to neutralize the sensor shortly in water between measurements in order to avoid falsifying of results.
Clean the sensor after each measurement session with distilled water. Put a few drops storage solution or buffer solution pH4 in the protective cap and put on the cap.
Attention: do never store the electrode in distilled water!

Measurement parameters
Press the MODE button (9) to choose between the parameters: pH / mV / COND / TDS / SALT / °C
The mV function helps to prove the pH sensor. A new pH electrode stabilizes rapidly and shows about 0 mV at pH 7.00, and about 170 mV at pH 4.00. If the difference between the two values is less than 140 mV and the electrode reacts very slowly, it must be replaced.
Display light
The display has a backlight in three different colors (blue, green and red) which change depending on the mode. The light also switches on for about 6 seconds after short pressing of the ON / OFF button (8).
Blue light = normal measurement mode
Green light = calibration mode
Red light = instrument or sensor fault
Switch OFF / Auto Power OFF
Press the ON / OFF button (8) for approx. 5 seconds to switch off the device.
The meter will automatically turn off 8 minutes after the last press of a key.
Battery replacement / Battery status indication
An indication in the display shows the battery status. You can also operate the Multi-Meter with rechargeable batteries (see also
“Insert the battery”).

Setup mode
Press and hold the CAL button (10). Additionally, press ON/OFF (8). A fullsegment test appears in the display. After releasing the CAL button, "t.u" appears in the display and °C flashes. Now you can choose between °C & °F by pressing the MODE button (9).
Press the CAL button (10) again to confirm the desired setting, then the instrument changes to the RESET mode. The Multi-Tester can be reset to factory settings by pressing the MODE button (9).
no/rSt = keep the settings YES/rSt = reset to factory settings
By pressing the CAL button (10) again you save the settings and leave the setup menu.
