StepManiaX STAGE Setup
REQUIRED TOOL LIST
You will require some basic tools to assemble both the StepManiaX Stages and the main unit.
Phillips Screw Driver
2.5mm Allen Key

Wide Jaw Crescent Wrench (2.5” reach)
Attaching the bar
The back support bars for the stages are detached for shipment.
1. Locate the 6 M5 screws on the top of
the stage near the back. Remove these
screws and set them aside.
2. Take the back support bar and insert
it into the stage. Note the orientation
of the screw holes on both the stage
and the bar to make sure they align.
Re-install the screws into the three holes
on each side of the installed bar. Tighten
until secured.
3. Using 2 of the included large lug bolts,
securely fasten them into the base of
the bar from the underside of the stage.
Tighten using a wrench until firmly in
place. Repeat this step for both Stage P1
and Stage P2.
4. Stabilize the stages from movement and
vibrations by spinning the red tightener
on each stage’s wheels counterclockwise until tight and firmly secure.

Joining the stages
Join the two stages together for a stable setup.
1. Ensure both stages are properly oriented.
The left stage, as viewed from behind the
bars, is shipped marked “P1”, and the right
stage is marked “P2”.

2. Using one of the included V-brackets and
6 of the included M8 screws, attach the
bracket onto the back of the stages in the
area between them. This will connect the
stages together and provide stabilization.
Do not completely tighten the screws at
this point.
Repeat this process for the front of the
stages.
3. After both V-brackets have been installed,
fully tighten all 12 screws until they are
secured.

ASSEMBLING the MAIN UNIT
The main unit of the machine is detached for shipping purposes and also needs to be installed.
1 . THIS STEP REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE
Using 2 people, lift the main monitor
unit and insert the tubes into the
corresponding tubes on top of the main
unit, being sure not to pinch any cables
2. Secure the monitor by installing 4 of the
included screws into both the left and
right pipes underneath the monitor.
3. Remove the back cover from the monitor
by removing the 6 screws holding
the panel on (3 on top, 3 on bottom).
Connect all cables in the back from the
main unit into the top section monitor
unit. These include HDMI, USB, power,
speaker audio (2), speaker power (2),
top marquee power, and WiFi Antenna.
Reinstall the back cover by replacing the
6 screws, and place the WiFi antenna on
the top of the machine.
4. Using 2 screws, attach the two speakers
to the sides of the monitor and connect
both the power and audio cables to
each. To connect the audio cables,
loosen each terminal, insert the
appropriate speaker wire, and tighten.
5. Remove the upper cover on each stage
by removing the 6 M4 screws. Unplug
the existing DC Power Plug inside of
the upper section of each stage and
completely remove the internal power
supply. Also unplug the Micro USB
cable connected to the existing Master
Control Unit in each stage.

6. On the front of each stage, remove
the two screws securing the power
outlet. Once disconnected, remove the
remainder of the power outlet.
7. Take the stage connection assembly
and plug the two power and two USB
cables into the connections on the
lower front of the main cabinet. The
order of the plugs does not matter.
Attach the tube to the main cabinet
using 4 screws.
8. Take the stage connection assembly’s
two separate ends and on each stage
connect the new DC Power Plug and
the Micro USB cable into the power plug
and Master Control Unit.
9. Reattach the top plates removed in step
3, but do not install the top center screw
10. Place the metal end of the stage
connection assembly against the stage,
and using the remaining center screw
attach the assembly directly to the
stage. Install the additional 2 screws on
the front of the stage, further securing
the connection assembly.
11. Place the marquee onto the top of the
monitor assembly and secure with 4
screws.
Plug the marquee’s power plug in after
securing.

12. Plug in the unit by inserting the AC
power cable into the rear of the main
unit.
Setup is now complete
