edges, and may cause serious loss of strength. Slight damage and scuffing to outer fibres may be considered safe,
however more serious levels of abrasion and reduction in width or thickness or serious distortion of the weave pattern
must lead to immediate retirement from use.
· Stitching - check for broken, loose, worn or abraded stitches or severely discoloured patches to the stitching.
Immediately retirement from use if present.
· Rings - Check for any wear on the rings or signs of damage - Immediately retirement from use if present.

work to be being undertaken, taking into account anchor points, potential fall distance, obstructions, rescue system, etc.
The Copious is designed to be used as an anchor device tested to EN795:1996 Class B. It may not be used in a fall arrest system without energy absorbers according to EN355. Maximum rated load assembled in accordance with these instructions is 100kg or a single user. All parts must be checked regularly before, during, and after use. The length of the anchor device must be determined by the size of the object it is to be looped over or around. In order to avoid high loads the anchor point for belay purposes must always be directly above the person to be belayed or suspended. Slack ropes must be avoided at all times.

· any doubt arise about its condition for safe use or if the equipment shows excessive wear or damage to any part or
· if it has been used to arrest a fall
(11) Ensure that all anchor points and devices are compatible with this equipment and they have a strength of at least 10kN. (12) In order to reduce the potential fall distance, ensure that the equipment anchor point is as high as possible above the user. (13) A full body harness is the only acceptable device that may be used to arrest a fall. (14) Either the rear or front harness D ring are acceptable attachment points. Never use work positioning D rings as attachment points for fall arrest (15) Ensure there is sufficient clearance below the user, so that in the event of a fall, there will be no collision with the ground or other obstacle in the fall path.
