PARTS LIST:
PROCEDURE:
1. REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ INSTRUCTIONS
CAREFULLY. FACTORY INSTALLED OR AFTERMARKET "ROCK RAILS," SIDE STEPS OR
RUNNING BOARDS MUST BE REMOVED. DRILLING AND CUTTING IS REQUIRED.
2. Start installation toward the front of the driver side of the vehicle. Remove the (2) factory hex bolts in
the bottom of the body next to the body mount, (Figure 1). Depending on model year, the (2) bolts are
either 8mm or 3/8" diameter. NOTE: Determine the correct diameter before proceeding.
3. Select (1) driver side front Mounting Bracket. Bolt the Bracket to the bottom of the body with the
included longer hex bolts, (Figure 2). NOTE: Use either the included (2) 8mm x 35mm Hex Bolts, (2)
8mm Lock Washers and (2) 8mm Flat Washers or (2) 3/8" x 1-1/4" Hex Bolts, (2) 3/8" Lock Washers
and (2) 3/8" Flat Washers as required. IMPORTANT: Do not mix 3/8" hex bolts with 10mm Hex Bolts.
Do not fully tighten hardware at this time.
4. Move to the rear mounting location. Locate the channel welded to the bottom of the body in front of the
rear tire opening, (Figure 3). Cut the rubber or plastic cover to expose the end of the channel, (Figure
4). NOTE: Trim cover so that Bracket sits flat against bottom of channel.

5. Select the driver side 10mm Nut Plate. IMPORTANT: Verify that you have the correct rear Bracket and
Remove (2) factory hex bolts. Check size of bolts.
Depending on model and year, these bolts may be
either 3/8" standard or 8mm metric. VERY
IMPORTANT: Determine correct size of hardware.
Do not install 10mm hex bolts from hardware kit
into 3/8" threaded holes!
Nut Plate before drilling vehicle. To check, line up the holes in the Nut Plate with the mounting flange
on the driver side rear Bracket, (Figure 6B).
6. Insert the driver side 10mm Nut Plate into the open end of the channel, (Figure 4). Line up the center
hole in the Nut Plate with the factory oval hole in the bottom of the channel, (Figure 5). Bolt the rear
Bracket to the Nut Plate with (1) 10mm Hex Bolt, (1) 10mm Lock Washer and (1) 10mm Flat Washer,
(Figure 6A & 6B). Do not fully tighten hardware at this time.
7. Carefully unwrap and position the driver Sidebar up to the front and rear Brackets. NOTE: Longer leg
on Sidebar will go toward front. Attach the Sidebar to the (2) Brackets using the included (2) 1/2" x 2"
Hex Bolts, (2) 1/2" Lock Washers and (2) 1/2" Flat Washers, (Figure 8). Do not tighten at this time.
8. Level and adjust the Side Bar and Brackets and tighten the (2) Hex Bolts securing the front Bracket to
the bottom of the vehicle first. Check the rear Bracket location. IMPORTANT: If the rear Bracket is too
close to the end of the channel, loosen the (2) 1/2" Hex Bolts in the Sidebar and the 10mm Hex Bolt
securing the rear Bracket to the bottom of the channel and Nut Plate. Firmly push the Sidebar and rear
Bracket forward in the adjustment slots and away from the edge of the channel. Once slid forward as
much as possible, tighten the 10mm Hex Bolt in the rear Bracket only.
9. Mark the location of the (2) remaining holes in the rear Bracket onto the bottom of the channel, (Figure
6A). Loosen the (2) 1/2" Bolts securing the Sidebar to the (2) Brackets. Remove the 10mm Hex Bolt in
the rear Bracket, (Step 6), and the Nut Plate from inside the channel. Carefully lower the rear of the
Sidebar to the ground. NOTE: It is not necessary to completely remove the Sidebar at this time but it
may be easier to drill the floor channel. Use a 3/8" drill bit to drill out the (2) previously marked holes for
the rear Bracket. Hold the Sidebar up in place and reinstall the rear Bracket with (3) 10mm Hex Bolts,
(3) 10mm Lock Washers and (3) 10mm Flat Washers, (Figure 8).
10. Level and adjust the Sidebar and tighten all hardware.
11. Repeat Steps 2 - 10 for Passenger Sidebar installation.
12. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.
To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer
over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish.
For stainless steel: Aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs on the finish. Mild soap may be
used also to clean the Sidebar.
For gloss black finishes: Mild soap may be used to clean the Sidebar.
