3. Select (1) 12mm Low Profile Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer, (Figure 1A). Partially thread the
Retainer onto the Bolt Plate. Insert the Bolt Plate into the hole in the back side of the body panel. Thread the Retainer down until it is tight against the sheet metal, (Figure 1B). IMPORTANT: The Plastic Retainer is designed to hold the Bolt Plate in place and prevent it from falling into the frame channel during Bracket installation. Attach the offset passenger side front Mounting Bracket to the Bolt Plate with (1) 12mm Flat Washer, (1) 12mm Lock Washer and (1) 12mm Hex Nut, (Figures 2B & 3). Snug but do not tighten hardware.
4. Select (1) 12mm Hex Head Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer, (Figure 2A). Insert the Bolt Plate into the hole in the bottom of the frame channel as previously described, (Figure 2B). Next, attach (1) Inner Front Mounting Bracket to the Bolt Plate with (1) 12mm Flat Washer, (1) 12mm Lock Washer and (1) 12mm Hex Nut, (Figure 3). Do not tighten hardware at this time.
5. Hold (1) long front Bracket Arm up in position between the (2) previously installed Brackets, (Figure 4). Make sure the slots in the Arm line up with the inner and outer Mounting Brackets. Hold the inner Bracket straight and tighten the Hex Nut on the inner Bracket only. Bolt the Bracket Arm to the inner and outer Brackets with (4) 8mm x 25mm Hex bolts, (8) 8mm Flat Washers, (4) 8mm Lock Washers and (4) 8mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 4). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware at this time.
6. Move to the center mounting location mid way down the side of the vehicle. Remove the rubber plug on the back of the inner body panel as described in Step 2. Install (1) 12mm Low Profile Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer, (Figure 5A). Insert the Bolt Plate into the hole in the back side of the body panel as previously described. Attach (1) Center Mounting Bracket to the Bolt Plate with (1) 12mm Flat Washer, (1) 12mm Lock Washer and (1) 12mm Hex Nut, (Figure 5B). Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
7. Attach (1) Center Bracket Arm to the Center Bracket with (2) 8mm x 25mm Hex Bolts, (4) 8mm Flat Washers, (2) 8mm Lock Washers and (2) 8mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 6). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware at this time.
8. Move toward the rear of the vehicle. Locate and remove the rubber plugs in the bottom of the frame channel and the back of the inner body panel similar to as described in Step 2, (Figure 7).
9. Select (1) 12mm Low Profile Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer, (Figure 8A). Insert the Bolt Plate into the narrow oval hole in the bottom of the frame channel, (Figure 8B). Next, insert (1) 12mm Hex Head Bolt Plate and (1) 12mm Plastic Retainer into the hole in the back of the inner body panel as previously described, (Figures 9A & 9B). Attach the passenger side rear mounting Bracket to the Bolt Plates with (2) 12mm Flat Washers, (2) 12mm Lock Washers and (2) 12mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 10). Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time.
10. Select the passenger side rear Bracket Arm. Bolt the Bracket Arm to the front facing side of the rear Bracket with (2) 8mm x 25mm Hex bolts, (4) 8mm Flat Washers, (2) 8mm Lock Washers and (2) 8mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 10). Snug but do not fully tighten hardware at this time.
11. Carefully unwrap the passenger side Running Board. From the front, slide (3) T-Bolts into each channel in the bottom of the Running Board, (Figure 11). Slide the T-Bolts forward or back to line up with the slots in the (3) Mounting Brackets. Hold the Running Board up to the vehicle at a slight angle and gently push it into position against the rocker panel. Insert the T-Bolts through the slots in the Brackets. NOTE: It may be necessary to loosen the Bracket hardware to insert the Running Board between the Brackets and the body. Attach the Running Board to the Mounting Brackets with the included (6) 6mm Flat Washers, (6) 6mm Lock Washers and (6) 6mm Hex Nuts, (Figure 12). Do not tighten hardware at this time.
