SteadyTracker Extreme Installation Guide

Setup Instructions

Step 1 - Adjust Foot on Base - Figure (2)
To adjust the Leg (1g) on the base (1b) loosen the wing nut and turn to
resemble Figure (3)

Step 2 - Mounting Fuselage - Figure (1) (3) (4)
If you are not adding the extender to the SteadyTracker then insert the
fuselage (1c) in the collar of the base – Figure (3) and tighten the thumb
screw. When finished it should resemble Figure (1).

If adding the optional extender, (sold separately) mount it first by putting
the small end of the extender (1d) in the collar of the base (1b) and tighten
thumbscrew Figure (3). Then mount the fuselage (1c) into the extender and
tighten the thumb screw on the extender’s collar. Figure (4).

Step 3 - Mount Camera to Release Plate - Figure (5)
Remove release plate (1a) from SteadyTracker Extreme by loosening the
wing nut (1e). Attach the release plate to the bottom of the Camera with
1/4-20 mounting screw (1f). For long camcorders, it is easier to balance –
when the wing nut is opposite the camcorder lens.

Step 4 - Mount camera to SteadyTracker - Figure (6)
Mount the camera by sliding the release plate (2a) through one of the slots in
Camera Stage on SteadyTracker Extreme (1e). Tighten wing nut (2b). When
mounting make sure the Camera lens faces the same direction as the
SteadyTracker Leg (The front of the SteadyTracker) and the washer is on the
bottom side of the Camera mount plate with the wing nut(1e), not between
plate and camera.
