HD Series Camera Stabilizing System
The new Steadicam® Pilot® HD
Series stabilizer systems are state-ofthe-art, lightweight and affordable,
designed especially for the modern
breed of lightweight cameras from
2 to 9 pounds (0.9 to 4.1kg). Video
professionals need add only battery
and camera of choice as all other
required system components are
provided for normal operation.
The Steadicam® Pilot® HD stabilizer
systems are designed with a lightweight
Iso-Elastic™ Arm and ultra low prole vest,
lightweight sled with CarbonLite expandable or aluminum xed post, low mass
gimbal and offers advanced features/benets with low cost for the video professional.
The Pilot® Backpack
has storage areas
for your sled, arm,
vest and Steadicam®
Merlin® stabilizer
(sold separately) all
in one convenient
travel bag/backpack.
The Iso-Elastic™ Arm is a two-section, articulated, no-tools design that can
be adjusted while supporting the camera. With this patented, unique design,
the Steadicam® operator can smoothly and effortlessly raise or lower the
arm throughout its 28 inch (71cm) boom range. The Iso-Elastic™ arm
is also non-reactive – improving vertical stability and control in all
operating conditions, from lock-offs to fast running shots over
rough terrain.

The Pilot’s
Low Prole Vest is designed to
provide complete comfort and functionality for extended productions and
long continuous shots. No-tools adjustments
make it easy to adjust on the “y.”

The Pilot HD/SDI system comes standard
with an Expandable Carbon Fiber post and
the Pilot HDMI systems come standard
with a Fixed Aluminum post and pass thru
HDMI cable. Utilizing a proven low mass
gimbal, the operator has the ability
to capture the uid movement that only
Steadicam® stabilizers can provide. Notools precision camera stage establishes
a solid base for the camera and facilitates
smooth adjustment ease from side to side
plus fore and aft.
The Pilot® HDSDI stabilizer systems are
available with 12V, IDX V-mount or
standard Anton Bauer®. The Pilot HDMI
systems come standard with Anton Bauer
7.2V ElipZ battery systems.
The optional SteadiStand™ is required
for Steadicam® stabilizer balance
and operation.

The CarbonLite expandable or Alu-
minum xed post and interface to
the stage form a solid bond to as-
sure no jitter in the picture as the operator captures those unique scenes.
The stage plate is indexed so that
the camera can be removed and remounted without the need to readjust the balance.
The sled boasts a true three axis
gimbal and is equipped with counter
weights for balance and positionable
monitor, gimbal and battery mounts.
Counterweights are provided for
balance.
The Pilot® sled compacts down by
removing the lower cross tube.
Pilot® sleds are available separately also as a
convenient upgrade path for owners of Merlin®
and Merlin® Arm & Vest kits.
