Please read the Notice to Parents carefully before you allow your child to use this unit. Reading through this User Instruction Guide with your child can be a valuable learning experience.
Please discard of any packing materials such as plastic sheets, wire ties, tags etc for your child’s safety.

Battery Installation
Note: Do not allow children to install batteries.
• This unit requires four (4) AA batteries (Included for demonstation purpose only). We recommend alkaline batteries.
• Open the battery compartment found on the back of the unit. (See Figure 1)
• Insert the batteries correctly, as indicated by the polarity symbols (+) and (-) marked inside the battery compartment. (See Figure 2)
• Make sure to correctly replace the battery compartment door and push it firmly back in place.
Battery Precautions
• Install batteries for your child.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel-Cadmium) batteries.

• Do not short circuit the supply terminals.
• Only use batteries of the same type or equivalent as recommended.
• For best operation, always use new alkaline batteries.
• Insert batteries following the correct polarity.
• Replace the batteries if the sound weakens or the display dims.
• Remove exhausted or weak batteries from the unit.
• Remove batteries if you are not going to use the unit for more than one (1) week.
• This unit is not to be connected to more than the
recommended number of power supplies.
Care and Maintenance
• Clean this unit with a slightly damp cloth.
• Do not use any chemical solvents or abrasives on this unit.
• Do not spill any liquids on this unit.
• Avoid dropping this unit on hard surfaces.
• Do not expose this unit to moisture or immerse it in water.
• Do not try to dismantle this unit.
• It is best to switch off this unit when your child is not playing with it. Please remind your child to do so.
• Use only a soft cloth for cleaning the LCD. Never use solvents, abrasives or a moist cloth.

General Operation
On/Off Key
Press this key to turn the unit ON. Press it once again to turn the unit OFF.
Auto Power Off
The unit will be turned off automatically if it does not detect any input response after approximately three (3) minutes.
Membrane Keyboard
The membrane keyboard provides all letter keys, number keys, direct activity keys and various functional keys.

Direct Activity Keys
Press one (1) of six (6) Direct Activity keys to enter an activity.
Confirm Key
Press this key to confirm a selection, letter or drawing.
Cancel Key
Press this key to cancel a selection, letter or drawing.
Repeat Key
Press this key to repeat a drawing sequence of the selected letter, number or picture.
Arrow Keys
Whenever a drawing or writing sequence is playing, press the Arrow key to stop the animation and play it step by step instead. Press the Confirm key once to return to the writing or drawing practice.
In Activity 4; Drawing Lesson, you can use these keys to select a picture from the picture gallery.
Description of Activities
Activity 1: Upper Case Letter Writing
Press any Letter key to begin. After pressing a Letter key (for example “A”) the unit will pronounce the phonics for the selected letter followed by the upper case letter writing sequence.

Using the stylus pen repeat the upper case letter writing sequence within the drawing area after the demonstration. To edit your writing, simply press the Cancel key and the on-screen data will be cleared. To clear the drawing area, slide the Eraser bar from one side to the other.
To confirm your writing, press the Confirm key. The letter wrote will be animated as a reward. Press another Letter key to continue. Press any Direct Activity key to jump to another activity.
Activity 2: Lower Case Letter Writing
Press any Letter key to begin. After pressing a Letter key (for example “a”) the unit will pronounce the phonics for the selected letter followed by the lower case letter writing sequence.
Using the stylus pen repeat the lower case letter writing sequence within the drawing area after the demonstration. To edit your writing, simply press the Cancel key and the on-screen data will be cleared. To clear the drawing area, slide the Eraser bar from one side to the other.

Activity 3: Number Writing
Press any Number key to begin. After pressing a Number key (for example “2”) the unit will display the number writing sequence.

Using the stylus pen repeat the number writing sequence within the drawing area after the demonstration. To edit your writing, simply press the Cancel key and the on-screen data will be cleared. To clear the drawing area, slide the Eraser bar from one side to the other.
To confirm your writing, press the Confirm key. The number wrote will be animated as a reward. Press another Number key to continue. Press any Direct Activity key to jump to another activity.
Activity 4: Drawing Lesson
Press the Arrow keys to select from ten (10) different picture categories from the gallery to begin. After selecting a category, press the Confirm key.
After the unit enters the selected category, now select a picture. Press the Arrow keys to select from ten (10) different pictures in the category. Some pictures are locked; displayed with a lock icon and cannot be selected. To unlock a locked picture, refer to play details in Activity 6; Letter Quiz. After selecting a picture, press the Confirm key.
The unit will display the picture drawing sequence. Using the stylus pen repeat the picture drawing sequence within the drawing area after the demonstration. To edit your writing, simply press the Cancel key and the on-screen data will be cleared. To clear the drawing area, slide the Eraser bar from one side to the other.

To confirm your drawing, press the Confirm key. The picture drawn will be animated as a reward. Select another picture to continue. Press any Direct Activity key to jump to another activity.
Activity 5: Free Draw
In this activity the user can draw freely within the drawing area using the stylus pen. Simply press the Cancel key and the on-screen data will be cleared. To clear the drawing area, slide the Eraser bar from one side to the other.
To confirm your drawing, press the Confirm key. The picture drawn will be animated as a reward. Continue to draw another picture. Press any Direct Activity key to jump to another activity.
Activity 6: Letter Quiz
In this activity the user is required to collect the target number of plants. The target number will be displayed on-screen before various plants start to scroll across the screen. To collect a plant, use the keyboard and press the corresponding letter displayed on the plant.
The unit will play a rewarding animation once the target number has been reached. For each target reached, one (1) picture inside the gallery will be unlocked and can be used in Activity 4: Drawing Lesson.
