Danger for children
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are not within reach of babies and young children. Choking hazard! Ensure that children do not detach any small parts (e.g. knobs or the like) from the unit. They could swallow the pieces and choke! Never let children unattended use electrical devices.
CAUTION!
Possible hearing damage
The device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent hearing impairment. Over an extended period of time, even levels that seem to be uncritical can cause hearing damage. Decrease the volume level immediately if you experience ringing in your ears or hearing impairment. If this is not possible, keep a greater distance or use sucient ear protectors.
This device is intended to be used for electronic sound generation using a piano keyboard. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intellectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.

CAUTION!
Possible hearing damage
Using headphones for a prolonged period and at high volume can cause hearing damage. Avoid using the device at high volume, especially when using headphones.
NOTICE!
Operating conditions
This device has been designed for indoor use only. To prevent damage, never expose the device to any liquid or moisture. Avoid direct sunlight, heavy dirt, and strong vibrations. Only operate the device within the ambient conditions specied in the chapter ‘Technical specications’ of this user manual. Avoid heavy temperature uctuations and do not switch the device on immediately after it was exposed to temperature uctuations (for example after transport at low outside temperatures). Dust and dirt inside can damage the unit. When operated in harmful ambient conditions (dust, smoke, nicotine, fog, etc.), the unit should be maintained by qualied service personnel at regular intervals to prevent overheating and other malfunction.
NOTICE!
External power supply
The device can be powered by an external power supply. Before connecting an external power supply, ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the device and that the AC outlet is protected by a residual current circuit breaker. Failure to do so could result in damage to the device and possibly the user. Unplug the external power supply before electrical storms occur and when the device is unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or re.

Risk of re due to incorrect polarity
Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries. Ensure that proper polarity is observed when inserting bat‐ teries.

Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device. Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.

Possible staining
The plasticiser contained in the rubber feet of this product may possibly react with the coating of your surface and after some time cause permanent dark stains. In case of doubt, do not put the rubber feet directly on the surface and use a suitable underlay if neces‐ sary, i.e. felt pads or similar.

4 Assembly instructions

Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the unit. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.
Set up the device in the desired location.

The device can be operated via the supplied USB-C cable with 5 V or with 4 × batteries (AA).
Remove the batteries or rechargeable batteries from the device when using the USB-C cable or remove the USB-C cable when using batteries.
NOTICE! Possible damage by leaking batteries
Leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the device.
Take batteries out of the device if it is not going to be used for a longer period.

NOTICE! Risk of re due to incorrect polarity
Incorrectly inserted batteries may destroy the device or the batteries.
Ensure that proper polarity is observed when inserting batteries.
Batteries are not charged in the device.
Connecting the USB-C cable
1. Make sure that the device is turned o before you connect it to the power supply or dis‐
connect it.
2. Turn the volume control counterclockwise to minimum before connecting the USB-C cable and turning the keyboard on. This is to protect the speakers from damage.
3.
Connect a USB-C cable to the socket on the back of the keyboard.
4. Connect the plug of the USB-C cable via a commercially available USB power supply unit to a properly grounded power socket.

Inserting batteries
1. Make sure that the device is switched o before inserting or replacing batteries.
2. Turn the volume control counterclockwise to minimum before inserting batteries and
turning the keyboard on. This is to protect the speakers from damage.
3. Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the device and insert four AA size batteries. Pay attention to the correct polarity.
Always use batteries of the same type and do not use new and used batteries at the same time.
4. Reattach the battery compartment cover and snap it into place.

Headphones
You will nd the headphone output on the back of the keyboard.
Connecting headphones (not supplied) to the outputs mutes the speakers.

7 Operating

7.1 Powering up the keyboard

1. Press [POWER] to turn the keyboard on.
2. Press [POWER] again to turn the keyboard o.
7.1.1 Automatic shuto
If the keyboard is not used for the set time (standard setting: 30 minutes), it switches itself o automatically to avoid unnecessary power consumption. By default, the automatic switch-o is activated.
You can deactivate the automatic switch-o or set the desired time for the keyboard to switch o automatically in the function menu (see

7.2 Setting overall volume

7.3 Octaving

Use the [VOLUME] rotary control to set a comfortable volume for playback and practising.
1. Turn the [VOLUME] rotary control clockwise to increase the volume.
2. Turn the [VOLUME] rotary control counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
With this function you can octave the keyboard up or down.
1. Press [OCTAVE] to activate the transpose function.
2. Press [–] or [+] to octave the keyboard up or down.

7.4 Transposing

7.5 Sustain eect
Operating
With this function you can adjust the pitch of the keyboard in semitone steps (12 at max.) up or down.
1. Press [TRANSPOSE] to activate the transpose function.
2. Press [–] or [+] to adjust the pitch of the keyboard in 6 semitone steps up or in 6 semi‐
tone steps down.
This function allows you to add a sustain eect to the sounds. This way you can make your playing more expressive and let tones linger after you lift your ngers from the keys of the key‐ board.
1. Press [SUSTAIN] to activate the Sustain eect.
2. Press [SUSTAIN] again to deactivate the Sustain eect.

The keyboard oers 30 songs in total. The built-in songs show the sound and the pitch range of the instrument.
1. Press [SONG] to activate the song mode.

7.10 Functions menu

1. Press [METRONOME] to enable the metronome.

7.10.1 Tempo

All preprogrammed songs, rhythms, and the metronome function are stored with certain tempo information. You can adjust the tempo in a range from ‘30’ ‘280’ .
1. Simultaneously press the keyboard keys [C1], [C#1] and [D1] to call up the functions menu.
The keyboard produces a conrmation tone. The display shows ‘Eng’ .

2. Additionally press the keyboard key [C3] to select the function for setting the tempo.
3. Release all keys and press [–] | [+] to set the tempo in increments of 1.
4. The setting is accepted immediately and the functions menu is closed approx. 5 seconds

You can set the metronome time signature in a range from ‘0’ ‘16’ .
1. Simultaneously press the keyboard keys [C1], [C#1] and [D1] to call up the functions menu.

3. Release all keys and press [–] | [+] to set the time signature in increments of 1.

7.10.5 Synchronous start function

All pre-programmed rhythms can be played using the sync start function. The rhythm does not play until you play a note on the keyboard.
1. Simultaneously press the keyboard keys [C1], [C#1] and [D1] to call up the functions menu.

2. Additionally press the keyboard key [G3] to activate or deactivate the sync start function.

The keyboard produces a conrmation tone. The display shows ‘Eng’ .
When the sync start function is activated, a point in the display ashes at the same speed as the current rhythm.

If the keyboard is not used for the set time (standard setting: 30 minutes), it switches o auto‐ matically. To turn it back on again, press [POWER].
1. Simultaneously press the keyboard keys [C1], [C#1] and [D1] to call up the functions menu.
The keyboard produces a conrmation tone. The display shows ‘Eng’ .

2. Additionally press the keyboard key [A3] repeatedly to set the time when the keyboard switches o automatically (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 120 minutes).
3. Additionally press the keyboard key [B3] to activate or deactivate the automatic shuto.
4. The setting is accepted immediately and the functions menu is closed approx. 5 seconds
after the last input.

7.10.7 Fine tuning

With this function you can ne tune the entire keyboard in 0.2 Hz steps.
1. Simultaneously press the keyboard keys [C1], [C#1] and [D1] to call up the functions menu.
The keyboard produces a conrmation tone. The display shows ‘Eng’ .

2. Additionally press the keyboard key [C4].
The display shows the current ne tuning, e.g. ‘00’ for no deviation from the
ð
standard.
3. Release all keys and press [–] | [+] to ne tune the keyboard. The value changes by 2 cents in a range from –50 to +50 per keystroke.
4. Press [–] | [+] simultaneously to reset the keyboard to the default value ‘00’ .
5. The setting is accepted immediately and the function menu is closed approx. 5 seconds
after the last input.
