you can communicate with 10BaseT and 100 BaseTX networks via your USB port. This
product is ideal for notebook computers where Ethernet ports are not an option. The
USB1100S is installed without having to open your computer and it can be connected or
disconnected without rebooting the computer.

Installation
This section will guide you through the installation of your USB to 10/100 Ethernet
Adapter. Please read through the instructions carefully and complete each step in the
order listed.
1. Plug the adapter into your computer’s USB port.
2. Attach the card to you hub/switch/other computer using a Category 5 or better UTP
patch cable (not included).

Installing the Drivers
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
NOTE: Depending on your version of Windows and the configuration of your system,
the instructions below may not be identical to what you see on your screen.
1. Make sure that the adapter is properly connected to your computer, and turn your
system on.
2. Windows will automatically detect the new hardware and a dialog box will appear.
Click Next.
3. Insert the driver disk into your disk drive. Select “Search for a suitable driver for my
device (Recommended)” and click Next.
4. Select “Floppy disk drives” and type “a:\” and click Next.
5. A message will appear saying that Windows has found an appropriate driver for you
device. Click Next. The installation process will begin. You may be required to supply
your Windows installation or setup disks at this time.
6. Click Finish to complete the installation.
7. Choose “Yes” when asked if you would like to reboot your system.
Linux
Linux users should consult the “Guide” file available on the driver disk.
