Monitoring Your USB Hub
The five LEDs on the front of the hub are the best indication of the hub’s activity:
• The four red LEDs indicate activity on each of the four USB ports. Each LED is
numbered to correspond to a port.
• The green PW LED indicates that the hub is properly powered.

Now your USB devices like digital cameras, Zip drives, and printers can attach to the front of your computer, making the connection or removal of your peripherals easy and hassle-free. The hub can be self- or bus-powered, and provides per-port over-current detection so your devices are protected.

Before You Begin
To ensure a quick and easy hub installation, please read through this section carefully before attempting to install the card.
WARNING! Installing this device requires you to remove your computer’s external casing. Remember that computer equipment can be severely damaged by static electricity. Be sure that you are properly grounded before opening your computer case or touching any internal components. StarTech.com recommends that you wear an anti­static strap when installing any computer component.
