Installation
1. Locate an appropriate spot inside the rack to mount the power strip, such as vertical side-mounting rails. NOTE: The power strip can be mounted vertically or horizontally to other surfaces, however mounting “up-side down” with the power sockets facing downwards is not recommended. The weight of the power strip and connected cables/peripherals in addition to any downward force (i.e. the force of pulling cables from the power sockets) could dislodge the power strip from the brackets.
2. Attach the mounting brackets to the rack rst, using the provided screws and backing plate. Place the backing plate behind the rack’s mounting post and place the mounting bracket in front. The screw threads in from the mounting bracket side. Ideally the mounting brackets should be evenly spaced across the entire length of the power strip to provide the most stability.
3. The power strip can be snapped into the mounting brackets. There are small grooves that run along the sides of the power strip that the brackets latch onto.
4. Plug the power strip into an electrical outlet and toggle the power switch to the ‘on’ position to energize the strip.
