Installation
Important installation notes:
• Maximum supported resolution varies depending on your extension distance.
• The DisplayPort cable connected to your display must be shorter than or equal to
the length of the cable connected to your video source.
• The maximum supported video source cable length is 50 ft. (15 m).
• The maximum supported display cable length is 15 ft. (5 m).
• Ensure your video source and display are turned o before you begin installation.
• Ensure the DisplayPort booster will be situated near an AC outlet or a USB power
source.
1. Determine where you’d like your video source to be located and set up your
DisplayPort video source as instructed by the documentation included with it.
2. Determine where you’d like your display to be located (within 65 ft. from your
video source) and set up your DisplayPort display for use as instructed by the
documentation included with it.
3. Connect a DisplayPort cable, up to 50 ft. in length (sold separately), to the output of
your video source and to the signal booster’s Video In port.
4. Connect a DisplayPort cable, up to 15 ft. in length (sold separately), to the signal
booster’s Video out port and to the DisplayPort input on your display.
5. Connect the USB power cable to the Power port on the DisplayPort booster and to
the power adapter, or other USB power source.
Note: If you’re using the included power adapter, connect the power adapter to
an AC power outlet.
6. Turn on your DisplayPort video source and your DisplayPort display. Your video
source will now be shown on the display.

Change your signal equalization
using Adjust controls
The DisplayPort booster features an equalization switch with ten dierent settings. You
can use the switch to adjust the amplication of your DisplayPort signal, to ensure that
your DisplayPort signal is ideal, at all distances up to 65 ft. (20 m).
If you’re experiencing video issues, such as no display, a blinking display or other
imperfections after you’ve completed the installation steps, you can resolve these
issues by adjusting the signal amplication.
To adjust the signal amplication:
1. Press the + Adjust control button to cycle through positions above your current
setting.
2. Press the - Adjust control button to cycle through positions below your current
setting.
3. Reviewing your display at each position, and leave the switch in the position that
produces the best video performance.
