The FM3666 headlight flasher is designed to work on both two and four
flas
h to gain attention and to increase the vehicle’s visibility.
headlight systems on any vehicle with a 12 VDC negative ground system. If the vehicle you are installing this unit on has Daytime Running Lights (DRL’s), you must order Model #FM3669C. Please use Model #FM3669 if you would like a headlight flasher which also adds a DRL function to your vehicle.
A properly installed FM3666 headlight flasher will flash the vehicles high beam lights (up to 70 watts per side) in an alternating pattern at 1.2 FPS. When used at night, the low beam lights will remain ON for proper illumination of the road, while the high beams will

CAUTION: This flasher unit is designed for use on high
beam headlights rated at a maximum of 70 watts each.
1. Mount the supplied headlight flasher unit in the desired location using the two screws supplied or an alternative method.
2. The current wiring of your headlights, high and low beams, should resemble the wiring diagram in Figure 1.
3. The electrical connection in the circled area indicated by the arrow in Figure 1 should be broken. Disconnect the wire running from your high beam switch to your high beam headlights and also disconnect any power wires connecting the two high beam head lights to one another.
4. Connect the wire running from your high beam switch, which was originally connected to the headlight wires, to the orange wire from the FM3666 flasher unit as shown in Figure
2.
5. Connect one red wire from the flasher unit to the wire from one of the high-beam headlights and connect the other red wire to the other high beam headlight as shown in Figure 2.
6. Connect the black fused wire from the flasher to a +12 VDC power source that is capable of delivering at least 15 amps.
7. When properly connected, the switch should flash your high beams when flipped to the ‘ON’ position, regardless if your high beam switch is on or not.
8. When the switch on the flasher unit is in the ‘OFF’ position, your high beam switch should function normally.
9. On vehicles with headlights that are both high and low beams, the wiring should be the same except for the fact that the high beam wires will run to the same light as the low beam wires, utilizing additional contacts on the back of the lamp.
