Ford Interceptor Steering Wheel Control Module
The new Ford Interceptor Police Package vehicles now come optionally equipped with
integrated controls on the steering wheel to operate four external devices. Because
these controls have a “low-current” output, most devices will require external relays
that can handle a higher current. This module provides single, integrated “easy-toinstall” solid-state module that connects to the vehicle’s factory-installed harness and
allows the steering wheel controls to activate four 10-amp outputs.
• Both ends of the harness should come with your new Ford Interceptor (may be preinstalled on the factory wired harness located under the center of the dash or may be
loose).
• Complete wiring & access details are available from Ford.
• Mounting in the trunk near the other electronic devices is highly recommended.
The manufacturer warrants each new product against factory defects in material and workmanship for one year after the date of purchase. The
owner will be responsible for returning to the Service Center any defective item(s) with the transportation costs prepaid. The manufacturer will,
without charge, repair or replace at its option, products, or part(s), which its inspection determines to be defective. Repaired or replacement
item(s) will be returned to the purchaser with transportation costs prepaid from the service point. A copy of the purchaser's receipt must be
returned with the defective item(s) in order to qualify for the warranty coverage. Exclusions from this warranty include, but are not limited to, bulbs,
strobe tubes, domes, and/or the finish. This warranty shall not apply to any light, which has been altered, such that in the manufacturer's
judgment, the performance or reliability has been affected, or if any damage has resulted from abnormal use or service.
There are no warranties expressed or implied (including any warranty of merchantability or fitness), which extend this warranty period. The loss of
use of the product, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damages, including costs of any labor, are not covered. The
manufacturer reserves the right to change the design of the product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously
manufactured.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You might also have additional rights that may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages.
Therefore, the above limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to you.

• Make the connection to your new BBK-FORD as shown in the diagram above, ignoring
the “Optional” siren inputs.
• There are three Input Power terminals. Depending upon the current need for your
devices, they may not all be needed. In addition, the gauge of wire run to the power input
terminal will depend upon the length of the run and the current you need to supply.
• When you press the buttons on the steering wheel the corresponding light output
associated with that button will illuminate the indicator LED on the BBK-FORD module
and the output will have battery voltage applied to it.
• Each output has a maximum output of 10 amps.

The BBK-FORD can be used in conjunction with a siren that has light control functionality such
that the connected devices can be controlled by either the steering wheel controls “OR” the
siren controls.
• Make the connections described on the previous page under the Stand Alone Default
Install section.
• Connect the light outputs from your siren to the corresponding Siren Input terminals on
your BBK-FORD.
• These siren inputs are feedback protected. (i.e. steering wheel activation of that output
does NOT send power back through the siren input.)
Siren Control Only Lighting
Because the siren inputs are feedback protected,
you can optionally connect lights to the Siren Light
Outputs that will be controlled ONLY by the siren.
Lights connected as shown to the right will NOT be
activated by the steering wheel controls.

There are 4 DIP switches located the BBK-FORD that
will allow you to set the 4th steering wheel button to
also enable light outputs 1, 2, or 3, along with 4. Note:
This will not be displayed on your vehicle cluster
display.
