Star has taken printer enhancement to a new level with Star Cloud Service’s Digital Receipting Service included within the Star printer driver or SDK.

Star’s digital receipting offers retailers a free of charge and fast route to providing the customer with a digital image of a printed receipt with full colour coupons as well as access to analytics, an in-store customer survey and device management tools. With zero development required, AllReceipts is enabled within the Star printer driver and works independently of a retailer’s POS software. Retailers can not only link customers to a promotional landing page but also send new promotional notifications to the customer’s phone. No need to login, no need to give up personal information (email / phone numbers) and the best part is the service is FREE!

At Star Micronics we’ve developed the world’s first conceptually driven, combined point of purchase cash drawer and printer in response to the need for an easily integrated mobile POS system. In the mPOP we’ve created something that’s aesthetically simple and elegant, yet loaded with intuitive design features. At just 10cm high and 30cm wide it’s easily transportable, whilst the Bluetooth connectivity means only one mains cable is needed for full operation.

mPOP works with all major mobile operating systems including Apple iOS, Android and Windows, giving retailers the freedom to use the platform that works for them.

Enhanced cable routing and various cable exit options maintain the sleek design in your retail environment.

TM Reliable 100mm/second printer with intuitive top loading & easy

front feed, the printer uses traditional direct thermal receipt paper which does not need ribbons or toner and is readily available. The partial cut guillotine automatically cuts the 58mm wide receipt so it won’t drop on the floor. Simple paper loading – just push the front printer panel and press the easy release lever to drop in the paper roll and then print.

TM	Functional but compact cash drawer

A clean, fast drawer release reveals 6 coin holders capable of taking full bank bags of coins and 4 upright note dividers. There is a low cost 8 coin option if required. Higher value notes can be stored securely under the coin inserts and a software lock provides extra security.

TM	Classic Bluetooth Connectivity

Choose the mobile device of your choice – Android, Apple, Linux or Windows tablet / smartphone for simple Bluetooth pairing. The mPOP LED display will quickly let you know pairing status as well as any issues such as paper out etc.

	TM	Compact, mobile POS design for the
	retail environment is further enhanced by the need for just one
	single mains cable for all mPOP functions. One or two external
	device chargers are included as well as the Star scanner which
	can be included at purchase or bought at a later date. USB
	connectivity ports are neatly positioned in a recess in the base of

Zero development is needed as all of the above is enabled within the Star printer driver and is triggered by printing a traditional receipt. Working independently of a retailer’s existing POS software, it automatically generates and securely sends an image of the receipt, coupon, full colour flip image & Engage Now URL (where relevant) to the cloud until claimed.

TSP100 Introduction

Setting new standards for POS printing technology, Star’s best selling printer worldwide, the TSP100, is the first software-driven POS receipt printer to provide an immediate plug & play application. This allows retailers to tailor and continuously modify all aspects of receipting output to meet their individual needs.

Advanced features such as receipt re-design, electronic journal, print-on-demand, graphic dependent multi-copy receipting and automatic text reduction are also included as simple tick-box changes.

The unique TSP100 set-up utility reduces integration time to minutes as it can simply mirror individual printer settings to multiple units in different locations, if required. The printer does not have to be taken out of the box for pre-installation. This is all achieved outside of the core POS software, providing endless possibilities.

Receipt Printing on Demand – using its Operator Prompt function the TSP100ECO futurePRNT software prompts the retailer as to whether a receipt is required. The receipt can then either be cancelled or printed providing the perfect solution for low cost consumables where receipts are not essential. All cancelled receipts can be saved graphically and be reviewed or reprinted. (Note: Not all countries will allow this feature so the software may be modified on a regional basis). TSP100ECO Power Management

Star has designed the TSP100ECO to correspond directly with the PC it has been attached to. The printer will only be activated when attaching the included USB cable to the printer and PC / terminal and the PC / terminal is powered, otherwise it will remain in standby mode.

Star’s power efficient method means the printer will revert with the PC to a very low powered standby mode when not in use, “instantly” waking up when needed, saving costs and power usage.
