OPERATION
Ideal for use with all projects and carpentry work including tiles, paneling, dry wall, outlet switches
Horizontal Applications (Fig. 2) Set the unit on a flat surface. Use the T-Edge to square unit to any surface with a 90º reference for aligning or plumbing.
Vertical Applications To attach to vertical surface, apply a small portion of adhesive putty to push pads (Fig.3). Align instrument using horizontal leveling vials. Firmly press push buttons to attach unit to surface. (Fig.4).

CALIBRATION
This instrument is factory calibrated and should never need field calibration. Calibration should be performed only by an authorized service center. Contact CST/berger, a division of Stanley Works™ Customer Service at US (815)432-9200.
SAFE OPERATING PROCEDURES
Working safely with this instrument is possible only when the operating and safety information is read completely and the instructions contained therein are strictly followed. Do not remove the label on the side of the housing.
Use in combination with other optical instruments, manipulations or in other applications other than described here, can lead to dangerous laser output.
Do not stare into the laser lines. Do not direct the laser lines at other persons.

CERTIFICATIONS
This laser complies with all applicable portions of title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations set by the Food and Drug Administrations, Center for Devices, and Radiological Health. Complies with 21CFR 1040.10 and 10040.11 except for devations pursuant to Laser notice No. 50, dated July 26, 2001.
This Laser tool has also been tested and complies with the CE certification requirements set forth in the EC regulations 89/336/EEC and EN 61000-6-1 (EN50082-1), EN 61000-6-3 (EN50081-1) and EN 60825-1.
POWER
Open the battery cover by releasing the battery door clip on the bottom of the housing. If replacing batteries, remove the existing batteries. Insert three “AA” batteries into the laser tool. Be sure to check for battery polarity, as indicated inside the battery housing.
Note: Refer to Electrical Safety Procedures prior to replacing the batteries.
Alkaline batteries offer the longest battery life when used in this laser tool.
Note: Extreme temperatures and the use of batteries with
different levels of charge can reduce the operating time of the laser tool. Always use batteries with the same power rating and from the same manufacturer. For the proper disposal of the used batteries, see the section “Environmental Protection”.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY PROCEDURES
WARNING: Batteries can explode or leak, and can
cause injury or fire. To reduce this risk:
ALWAYS follow all instructions and warnings on the battery label and package.
DO NOT short any battery terminals.

DO NOT charge alkaline batteries. DO NOT mix old and new batteries. Replace all of them at the
same time with new batteries of the same brand and type.
DO NOT mix battery chemistries. DISPOSE of batteries per local code. DO NOT dispose of batteries in fire. KEEP batteries out of reach of children. REMOVE batteries if the device will not be used for
several months.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials & batteries instead of disposing of waste. The unit, accessories, packaging & used batteries should be sorted for environmentally friendly recycling in accordance with the latest regulations.
