SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHARGING THIS UNIT

• IMPORTANT: This unit is delivered in a partially charged state. Fully charge the unit before using it for the first time using the supplied
AC Charging Adapter for a full 10 hours or until the battery icon shows 4 solid bars.

• All functions should be turned off when the unit is charging or not in use. Make sure that all functions are turned off before connection
to a power source.

WARNING: The 12V DC Charging Adapter is intended for charging the unit battery only; attempting to use the 12V DC

Charging Adapter as power source for the unit may cause it to overheat, causing property damage and injury to persons.

WARNING: Never attempt to use the AC and DC charging methods at the same time.

WARNING – BURST HAZARD:

• Carefully follow instructions on articles to be inflated.

• Never exceed recommended pressures. Bursting articles can cause serious injury.

• Always monitor the pressure on the LCD screen.

CAUTION – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:

• Never leave the compressor unattended while in use.

• Do not operate the compressor at pressures greater than 120 PSI; and do not operate the compressor continuously at 120 PSI for longer
than approximately 3 minutes. Follow the instructions in the “Using the Portable Compressor” section.

INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on purchasing your new Stanley
this Instruction Manual and follow the instructions carefully before using this unit.

CHARGING/RECHARGING

Lead-acid batteries require routine maintenance to ensure a full charge and long battery life. All batteries lose energy from self-discharge
over time and more rapidly at higher temperatures. Therefore, batteries need periodic charging to replace energy lost through self­discharge. When the unit is not in frequent use, manufacturer recommends the battery be recharged at least every 30 days.

Before each use, check the unit’s battery status on the LCD Screen:

• Four solid bars on the battery icon indicate a full battery. The unit is ready to use.

• Only one or two solid bars on the battery icon indicates that the unit’s battery charge level is low. In this case, the battery SHOULD be
recharged before use or the built-in low-voltage protection may activate (the empty battery icon will flash for a short period before
automatic shut-down). If the unit shuts down, it MUST be recharged immediately.

• An empty battery icon indicates the battery MUST be recharged immediately.

Notes: This unit is delivered in a partially charged state – you must fully charge it upon purchase and before using it for the first time. Initial AC charge should

be for 10 hours or until the battery icon shows 4 solid bars.

Recharging the battery after each use will prolong battery life; frequent heavy discharges between recharges and/or overcharging will reduce battery

life. The battery must be recharged using the 120V AC Charging Adapter.
Make sure all other unit functions are turned off during recharging, as this can slow the recharging process.
The time required to fully recharge the built-in battery depends on the charge status after use. Approximate recharging time is 10 hours.

CAUTION: RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE:

• Failure to keep the battery charged will cause permanent damage and may result in poor performance.

• Overcharging will reduce battery life. Do not overcharge:

– Never charge for longer than 10 hours using the 120V AC Charging Adapter.
– Never charge for longer than 5 hours using the 12V DC Charging Adapter.

Charging the Unit Using the 120V AC Charging Adapter (recommended)

IMPORTANT: The unit cannot be operated while charging using the AC Charging Adapter.

1. Make sure the 12V DC Charging Adapter is disconnected.

2. Insert the barrel connector of the 120V AC Charging Adapter into the 120V AC Charging Port on the back of the unit. Plug the 120V

AC Charging Adapter into a (powered) standard North American 120 volt 60Hz outlet. When the unit is properly connected to an AC
power source, the LCD Screen will display the following:

3. Charge for approximately 10 hours or until the battery icon shows 4 solid bars. Do not overcharge.

4. Disconnect the AC Charging Adapter from the unit and the 120V AC power source when not in use.

Charging the Unit Using the 12V DC Charging Adapter

1. Make sure the 120V AC Charging Adapter is disconnected.

2. Insert the double barrel tip of the 12V DC Charging Adapter into the 12V DC Charging Port on the back of the unit.

3. Insert the grooved tip of the 12V DC Charging Adapter into the vehicle’s 12V DC accessory outlet or other functioning 12V DC power

source. When the unit is properly connected to an DC power source, the LCD Screen will display the following:

The bars on the Battery Icon represent the charge level of the unit’s internal battery. The bars on the Battery Icon will change from

empty to solid (from bottom to top) repeatedly to indicate that the unit is charging. The backlight will turn on for 10 seconds (only).

Notes: When using a vehicle’s 12V DC accessory outlet as a power source, be aware that some vehicles require the ignition be turned on to power the

accessory outlet.

The bars on the Battery Icon will continue changing from empty to solid (bottom to top) repeatedly, but will not show 4 solid bars when using the

12 volt DC charging method. Manufacturer suggests that you only use the 12 Volt DC Charging Adapter if the unit needs to be charged immediately
and no 120 volt power source is available.

4. Charge for 5 hours. Do not overcharge.

5. Disconnect the DC Charging Adapter from the unit and the 12V DC power source when not in use.

CAUTION – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DAMAGE TO THE UNIT: Do not charge for longer than 5 hours maximum using this method.

USING THE PORTABLE COMPRESSOR

This 12 Volt DC Air Compressor is the ultimate compressor for all vehicle tires, trailer tires and recreational inflatables. The compressor hose
with tire fitting is stored on the storage clips at the side of unit. A Nozzle Adapter is supplied and is stored in the Nozzle Adapter Storage
Compartment. Refer to the “Features” section to locate all components.

The 12V DC Air Compressor can be used in either Auto Mode or Manual Mode, as detailed in the following sections.
IMPORTANT: When the compressor is operated either in the Manual Mode or at a low PSI in the Auto Mode, the unit may start in low

and gradually rev up. When the compressor is operated at higher PSIs in Auto Mode, the unit may operate normally for several minutes,
then rev down for a few minutes before returning to normal operation. This feature protects the unit from overheating during normal
use. In any event, do not operate the compressor continuously for extended periods of time (approximately 10 minutes, depending on
ambient temperatures), as it may overheat. This could damage the compressor. If the compressor must be operated for longer periods:
every 10 minutes
approximately 30 minutes.

Note: The 2-LED Area Light will remain lit as long as the unit is turned on.

WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE:

• Follow all safety instructions found in the “Specific Safety Instructions For Compressors” section of this instruction manual.

• The Air Compressor is capable of inflating to 120 pounds per square inch (PSI) pressure. To avoid over-inflation, carefully follow

instructions on articles to be inflated. Never exceed recommended pressures. Bursting articles can cause serious injury.

Inflating Tires or Products with Valve Stems in Auto Mode

In the Auto Mode, the desired pressure value can be preset and stored in the unit’s memory and the compressor will automatically stop
once this preset pressure is reached. The Power Button turns the unit on and off. The Increase Pressure Control Button (+) and Decrease
Pressure Control Button (–) are used to select a pressure value for when the compressor is used in Auto Mode. All three buttons are
located on the control panel on the back of the unit (refer to the “Features” section to locate).

1. Make sure all charging adapters are disconnected.

4. Press the Increase (+) and Decrease (–) Pressure Control Buttons to select the desired pressure from a range pre-set values (between

3 and 120), which will display on the backlit LCD screen. Hold the Button to scroll upward or downward more quickly. Once the

desired pressure has been reached, release the Button and wait two seconds. The digital display will flash the new selected pressure,
as in the following example:

This pressure value is now stored in the unit’s memory until it is manually reset.

5. Press the Power Button once more to begin inflation. The digital display will only show the current pressure of the object (which will

light solid) to indicate that the compressor is working. Monitor the pressure on the LCD screen.

6. When desired pre-set pressure is reached, the compressor will stop automatically. Press and hold the Power Button for one second to

turn off the unit.

7. Unscrew and remove the SureFit

®

nozzle from the valve stem.

IMPORTANT AUTO MODE OPERATING NOTES:

• To interrupt the inflation process, press the Power Button once. To resume the inflation process, press the Power Button again.

• To switch to Manual Mode, press the Power Button once to stop the inflation process, then press the Compressor Trigger. (The unit

cannot switch to the Manual Mode while it is inflating.)

• To shut down the unit at any time, press and hold the Power Button for one second.

• To select a new pressure value, press the Power Button once, then press the Increase (+) or Decrease (–) Pressure Control Buttons and

resume the inflation process at step 5.

• After pressing the Power Button at any time during operation, the unit will automatically shut down after one minute if no further

actions are taken.

Inflating Tires or Products with Valve Stems in Manual Mode

In the Manual mode, the Compressor Trigger on the front of the unit is used to operate the compressor until the desired pressure value is
reached.

1. Make sure all charging adapters are disconnected.

2. Screw the SureFit

®

nozzle onto the valve stem. Do not overtighten.

3. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on. The backlit LCD Screen will display the following, indicating the unit is in Standby Mode:

The digital display will alternately show the flashing pre-set PSI value (that was last set by the Pressure Control Buttons) for 2 seconds;

then it will flash the current pressure of the item being inflated for 5 seconds (which will then light solid).

IMPORTANT: If no other actions are taken after pressing the Power Button, the unit will automatically shut off after one minute of

inactivity.

4. Press the Compressor Trigger to begin the inflation process. The digital display will only show the current pressure of the object (which

will light solid, as in the following example) to indicate that the compressor is working. Monitor the pressure on the LCD screen.

5. When the desired pressure is reached, release off the Compressor Trigger and the compressor will stop. Press and hold the Power

Button for one second to turn off the unit.

6. Unscrew and remove the SureFit

®

nozzle from the valve stem.

IMPORTANT MANUAL MODE OPERATING NOTES:

• To interrupt the inflation process, release the Compressor Trigger. To resume the inflation process, press the Compressor Trigger again.

• To switch to Auto Mode, release the Compressor Trigger, then press the Increase (+) or Decrease (–) Pressure Control Buttons or the

Power Button. (The unit cannot switch to the Auto Mode while it is inflating.)

• To shut down the unit at any time, press and hold the Power Button for one second.

• In this mode, the unit will automatically shut down after one minute of inactivity.

Inflating Other Inflatables Without Valve Stems

Inflation of other items requires use of the nozzle adapter.

1. Make sure all charging adapters are disconnected.

2. Screw the nozzle adapter into the SureFit

®

nozzle. Do not overtighten.

3. Insert the nozzle adapter into item to be inflated.

4. Press the Power Button to turn the unit on. The backlit LCD Screen will display the following, indicating the unit is in Standby Mode:

The digital display will alternately show the flashing pre-set PSI value (that was last set by the Pressure Control Buttons) for 2 seconds;

then it will flash the current pressure of the item being inflated for 5 seconds (which will then light solid).

IMPORTANT: If no other actions are taken after pressing the Power Button, the unit will automatically shut off after one minute of inactivity.

5. Follow either steps 4 through 6 in the “Inflating Tires or Products With Valve Stems at Auto Mode” section or steps 4 through 5 in the

“Inflating Tires or Products With Valve Stems at Manual Mode” section.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Small items such as volleyballs, footballs, etc. inflate very rapidly. Do not over-inflate.

6. Disconnect the nozzle adapter from the inflated item.

7. Unscrew and remove the nozzle adapter from the SureFit

®

nozzle.

CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK PROPERTY DAMAGE:

• Always allow the unit to cool before storing it.

• To prevent hose damage, secure the compressor hose and SureFit

®

nozzle using the Storage Clips after each use.

• Recharge the unit fully after each use.

USING THE 2-LED AREA LIGHT

The Area Light is controlled by the Compressor. When the Compressor is turned on, the Area Light is activated. When the Compressor is
tuned off, the Area Light turns off. Press the Power Button (refer to the “Features” section to locate) to turn the Compressor and Area
Light on. Press the Power Button and hold for one second to turn the unit off. Make sure the Power Button is turned off when the unit is
being recharged or stored.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

All batteries lose energy from self-discharge over time and more rapidly at higher temperatures. When the unit is not in use, we
recommend that the battery is charged at least every 30 days.

Never submerge the unit in water. If the unit gets dirty, gently clean the outer surfaces of the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild
solution of water and detergent.

There are no user-replaceable parts. Periodically inspect the condition of adapters, connectors and wires. Contact manufacturer to replace
any components that have become worn or broken.

Battery replacement/disposal

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The battery should last the service life of the unit. Service life is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to the
number of recharge cycles, and proper care and maintenance of the battery by the end user. Contact manufacturer for any information
you may need.

12V DC Charging Adapter Fuse Replacement

The fuse in the plug end of the 12V DC Charging Adapter protects the adapter’s charging circuit. If the 120V AC Charging Adapter
operates, but the 12V DC Charging Adapter does not, then this fuse may be opened (blown).

TO REPLACE THE FUSE:

1. Unscrew the end cap of the DC plug (counterclockwise).

2. Remove spring center contact and fuse.

3. Check fuse with a continuity checker.

4. If blown, locate a replacement 12 amp fuse.

5. Replace the fuse, spring, contact and end cap.

6. Screw end cap clockwise until it is finger tight – DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.

7. Test for proper operation of the 12V DC Charging Adapter.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Unit will not charge

• Make sure all of the unit’s functions are turned off.

• Make sure the 120V AC Charging Adapter or 12V DC Charging Adapter is properly connected to both the unit and a functioning power

source.

• When charging using the 12V DC Charging Adapter:

– Rotate the plug slightly to assure there is good contact.
– Check that the fuse in the 12V DC Charging Adapter is not blown.

Air Compressor will not inflate

• Make sure the 120V AC Charging Adapter is disconnected. The unit cannot be operated when charging using the 120V AC Charging

Adapter.

• Make sure the Power Button is pressed to turn the unit on and that all directions in the “Using the Portable Compressor” section have

been followed exactly.

• Make sure the nozzle is securely screwed on to the valve stem when attempting to inflate tires; or that the nozzle adapter is securely

screwed into the SureFit

• Check that unit has a full charge. Recharge the unit if necessary.
If the unit does not charge or operate after taking the steps given above, the compressor may be damaged, contact the manufacturer at

LED Area Light does not come on

• Make sure the Power Button has been pressed to turn the unit on (when the Compressor is turned on, the Area Light turns on).

• Check that unit has a full charge. Recharge the unit if necessary.

CARGA/RECARGAR

Las baterías de plomo-ácido requieren mantenimiento de rutina para asegurar una carga completa y una mayor duración de la batería.
Todas las baterías pierden energía por descarga espontánea, se descargan con el paso del tiempo, y con mayor rapidez cuando están a
temperaturas más altas. Por lo tanto, las baterías necesitan ser cargadas periódicamente para reemplazar la energía perdida por descarga

Cómo cargar la unidad utilizando el adaptador de carga de 120 voltios de CA (recomendado)

este método.

UTILIZANDO EL COMPRESOR PORTÁTIL

Este compresor de 12 voltios CC es el compresor de última generación para los neumáticos de todos los vehículos, remolques y artículos
inflables para recreación. Dos adaptadores de boquillas diferentes se suministran. La manguera de compresor con montaje de neumáticos
se almacenan en los clips de almacenamiento en el lado de la unidad. Un adaptador de la boquilla se suministra y se almacena en
el adaptador de la boquilla Compartimiento para almacenamiento. Consulte la sección “Características” para localizar todos los

Inflado de otros inflables sin vástagos de válvula

La inflación de los otros rubros requiere el uso de uno del adaptador de la boquilla.

1. Asegúrese de que todos los adaptadores de carga se desconectan.

2. Atornille el adaptador de la boquilla en la boquilla SureFit

®

. No apriete demasiado.

3. Inserte el adaptador en el artículo a ser inflado.

4. Pulse el botón de alimentación para encender la unidad. La pantalla LCD mostrará el siguiente mensaje, que indica que la unidad está

en modo de espera:

La pantalla digital parpadea alternativamente el pre-ajustada valor (que se estableció última por los botones de control de la

presión) durante 2 segundos; luego parpadeará la presión actual del objeto que siendo infla durante 5 segundos (que a continuación

se ilumina sólida).

5. Siga los pasos 4 a 6 en la sección “Inflar neumáticos o productos con los vástagos de válvula en modo automático” o los pasos 4 a 5 en

la sección “Inflar neumáticos o productos con los vástagos de válvula en modo manual”.
NOTA IMPORTANTE: Los artículos pequeños como las pelotas de voleibol, fútbol, etc. se inflan muy rápidamente. No infle demasiado.

6. Desconecte el adaptador de la boquilla del artículo inflado.

UTILIZANDO LA LUZ DEL ÁREA DE 2-LED

La luz del area es controlada por el compresor. Cuando el compresor está activado, la luz del area se activa. Cuando el compresor está
sintonizado apagado, la luz del area se apaga. Pulse el botón de alimentación (consulte la sección “Características” para localizar) para
encender el compresor y la luz del area. Pulse el botón de alimentación y mantenga pulsado durante un segundo para apagar la unidad.
Asegúrese de que el botón de encendido está apagado cuando la unidad se está recargando o almacenado.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO

Con el tiempo, todas las baterías pierden energía debido a la descarga automática y con mayor rapidez en ambientes con temperaturas
elevadas. Cuando la unidad no esté en uso, recomendamos cargar la batería al menos cada 30 días.

No sumerja sumerja esta unidad en agua. Si la unidad se ensucia, limpie las superficies exteriores con cuidado. Utilize una tela suave
humedecida con una mezcla diluida de agua y detergente.

No hay piezas sustituibles por el usuario. Inspeccione periódicamente el estado de los adaptadores, conectores y cables. Comuníquese con
el fabricante para reemplazar los componentes que se han roto o desgastado.

Reemplazo/desecho de la batería

REEMPLAZO DE LA BATERÍA
La batería debe durar la vida útil de la unidad. La vida de servicio depende en un número de factores, incluyendo pero no limitado al
número de ciclos de recarga, y el cuidado y mantenimiento adecuado de la batería por el usuario. Comuníquese con el fabricante para
cualquier información que pueda necesitar.

ELIMINACIÓN DE LA BATERÍA
Contiene una batería de plomo-ácido sellada, anti-derrame que no requiere mantenimiento, la cual debe ser eliminada
de manera correcta. Reciclar es necesario. El incumplimiento de regulaciones locales, estatales y federales, puede resultar
en multas o prisión.

Por favor recicle.

ADVERTENCIAS:

• No deseche la batería en el fuego ya que puede ocasionar una explosión.

• Antes de desechar la batería, proteja las terminales descubiertas con cinta eléctrica para trabajos pesados. De esta manera previene

cortos circuitos (los cortos circuitos pueden ocasionar lesiones e incendios).

• No exponga la batería al fuego o al calor extremo ya que puede explotar.

Reemplazo del fusible del adaptador de carga de 12 voltios de CC

El fusible que está en la toma CC protege el circuito de carga del adaptador de poder. Sí el adaptador de carga CA opera pero el
adaptador de carga no, el fusible puede estar abierto.

PARA SUBSTITUIR EL FUSIBLE:

1. Destornille la tapa trasera del enchufe de CC (en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj).

2. Retire el resorte central de contacto y el fusible.

3. Inspeccione el fusible con un control de continuidad.

4. En caso de estar quemado, busque un fusible de reemplazo de 12 amperios.

5. Coloque el fusible, el resorte de contacto y el cobertor posterior.

6. Atornille la tapa trasera en sentido de las manecillas del reloj hasta que esté apretado. NO LO APRIETE DEMASIADO.

7. Asegúrese que el adaptador de carga CC esté funcionado de forma correctar.

DETECCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS

La unidad no carga

• Cerciórese de que todas las funciones de unidad estén apagadas.

• Asegúrese de que el adaptador de carga de 120V CA o el adaptador de carga de 12V CC está conectado correctamente con la unidad y

una fuente de energía que funcione.

• Cuando cargar utilizando el adaptador de carga de 12V CC:

– Gire el enchufe ligeramente para asegurar un buen contacto.
– Compruebe que el fusible en el adaptador de carga de 12 V DC no está quemado.

El compresor de aire portátil no inflará

• Asegúrese de que el adaptador de carga 120V CA está desconectado. La unidad no se puede utilizar durante la carga mediante el

adaptador de carga 120V CA.

• Asegúrese de presionar el botón de alimentación para encender la unidad y de que todas las instrucciones en el “Uso del compresor

transportable” haber sido seguido exactamente.

• Asegúrese de que la boquilla está firmemente atornillada al vástago de válvula cuando se intenta inflar los neumáticos; o que el

adaptador de la boquilla se atornilla firmemente en la boquilla SureFit

La luz zonal de diodo (LED) no enciende
