ASSEMBLY

Assemble the trumpet by inserting the shank on the mouthpiece

into the leadpipe. Use a gentle twist motion. The fit should be

snug, but not too tight so it can later be removed.

HOLDING YOUR TRUMPET

The following diagrams show the proper placement of your left and right hands to play the

instrument.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The valves and the tuning slide should be oiled once or twice per week using valve oil for

brass instruments. Perform the following steps to oil the valves and slide. To avoid mixing

valves, remove only one at a time.

1. Unscrew one of the valve caps and lift

the valve out of the valve casing. Apply

a few drops of oil to each side of the

valve surface.
