HT 644 - 01
The HT 644-0 is a dialogue-oriented in-house telephone with a display for indication of all actions and responses. Operating errors and faults are indicated with the message "not possible xx". XX stands for an error code which is explained in the table on page 7. Several functionality is only available up from version 4.xx.

Calling a user.
In order to call a user, the receiver must be lifted and a call number with max. 4 digits dialled. If a series 44x or 54x unit is called, the following message appears for around 2 seconds: "Call to XXXX". The message then disappears. If a series 64x is called, the message "Call to XXXX" appears until the called user picks up the receiver. Then the message "Connection XXXX" is displayed. After termination of the call, the default setting appears in the display.
Accepting door calls
A door call is signalled by a three-tone chime and LED 3. In the display, the message "Door XXXX calling" appears. By picking up the receiver, a connection is immediately created to the calling door. The message "Connection XXXX" appears.
Door release
The door release key can be actuated at any time. If the door release is actuated from the door release, the message "door release" appears in the display. If the door loudspeaker cannot switch on the door release, "not possible 12" appears (see error table).
Transferring calls between two users
In order to transfer a call from a user with an existing speech connection to a third user, simply enter the number of the third user. If the called user is free, the speech connection is immediately created between the two users. The display then indicates "Transfer OK".. If the user is engaged, the original connection between the first two users is retained. The message in the display then reads „Engaged still connected“.
Light switching
The light button can be actuated at any time. If the relevant switching module is successfully switched, the display "Light" appears. If the switching module fails to switch, the error message "Not possible 9" appears.
Remote control functions.
When actuating the key F and a number between 0 and 9, the relevant remote control function is activated. If the function is executed, the message "Function OK" is displayed. If the function is not executed, the message "Not possible 11" appears in the display.
Call silencing
The call silencing function is activated by pressing the key. An active call silencing status is indicated by LED 2 and the message "Call sil. active". The call silencing function is deleted again by pressing the key again. If a door loudspeaker call is received during the call silencing status, this is still indicated in the display and by LED 2, and the video interface is also activated. However, the three-tone chime does not sound. A speech connection to the door can be created by lifting the receiver.
Dial repeat
Using the button, another call is activated to the last called user.
Call diversion
In order to divert all the calls to a subscriber assigned to one subscriber number, press the key and enter the respective subscriber number. Following, the "Diversion to xxxx" message will be shown in the LED display. When re-pressing this key, this call-diversion function will be de-activated again. Up to a maximum of 15 call-diversion transactions will be possible in the system at the same time.
5
A diverted call cannot be diverted to a further destination over again (please note: the call-diversion feature refers to a single-stage call diversion).

HT 644-01
Collective call
If the unit is programmed for entitlement to transmit collective calls, a collective call can be started by actuating the key and 0. The collective call is terminated by replacing the receiver. If the unit is programmed for entitlement to receive collective calls, before a collective announcement a brief attention signal sounds and the message "Collective call from XXXX" appears in the display.
If the key is actuated when the receiver is down, the number of the user initiating the collective call is indicated in the display. Double actuation when the receiver is down creates a speech connection to the user initiating the collective call. This function is independent of the way in which the collective call function has been programmed.
Callback function
In the callback menu, it is possible to program the available options for storing unaccepted calls and background calls in the form of a callback request. A maximum of 3 callback requests can be stored. Callback requests are optically indicated by LED 3 flashing and also by the relevant number in the display. If the stored callback request originates from a 44x or 3XX HT, the callback requests are deleted from the memory when the relevant user has been called back. If the callback request initiates from a 64X series HT, it is not deleted until the called user has picked up the receiver. If the callback number is entered when the receiver is down, the callback request is deleted.
Alarm and emergency calls
If a unit is programmed for alarm and emergency call processing, the HT manages a maximum of 4 alarm calls and 4 emergency calls. However, these are not saved in case of a power failure.
Alarm calls are acoustically indicated by an alternating alpha tone and optically indicated by a flashing of LED 1 and the message "Alarm call from XXXX". The alarm call is deleted by a speech connection with the initiating call station. (The receiver of the initiating station must be lifted).
Emergency calls are acoustically indicated by a continuous alpha tone and optically by LED 1flashing and the message "Emergency call from XXXX". If there is no HTZ in the system, and if the HT has the address 1, the reassurance lamp is switched on by the HT. Emergency calls can only be cancelled by the initiating call station by actuating the cancel emergency call button.
The alpha tone can be switched off using the key 0 or by expiry of a previously set time limit. Switching off deactivates all acoustic signal generators in the system. If there are several alarm and emergency calls waiting, these are indicated alternately in the display. If a fifth emergency or alarm call is initiated, this is optically and acoustically signalled but not stored or managed by the system. If stored alarm and emergency calls are forwarded from the HTZ, the first 4 are always stored.
Porter function (Concierge)
When enabling the porter function, the respective porter groups (door-call diversion) can be activated, or deactivated, by means of pressing the key and entering one digit between one and four.
The porter groups which have been activated will be shown in the "Con. 1 (2 3 4)" display.
Enabling the operating interface / functionality
In order to carry-out any functions of the operating interface, the respective functions have to be enabled in the "Ranges/functions enable/disable" menu.

Additional functions by means of the MFM-611-10 unit
Remote-control functions, subscriber numbers, and switching functions can be assigned to the MFM keys of the HT-644 module. Furthermore, in order to extend the functionality of this module relevantly, additional functions can be assigned to the MFM keys as well. Please, find below a list of the additional functions which can be programmed to any arbitrary MFM key. (For further information, please refer to the respective "Programming instructions".)
Clearing the voice circuit
In order to carry-out a forced clearing of any voice circuit, apply this function.
Fire-alarm function
In order to activate, or de-activate, any fire alarm, apply this function.
Activating the output 12
In order to activate the output 12 of any internal telephone for three seconds, press any MFM key. (Key function). In order to switch one potential-free contact, employ the AR-85911 module.
Active/passive mode (HTZ function)
In order to make possible that the internal telephone can be switched into the “Active” state, and switch all the other internal telephones into the “Passive” state, first program a MFM key regarding the execution of this function. Then, press this key. When being switched into the active state, the internal telephone will react to the address 1 and the programmed address as well. When being switched into the passive state, the internal telephone will react to the programmed address only. However, when switched in connection with an HTZ-442 module, this internal telephone can be employed as a slave central-position as well.
Error code table
Instructions which cannot be carried out or operating errors are indicated by the message: "Not possible XX" and a number. The table below provides an explanation for the indicated error codes
