The maintenance-free microprocessor-controlled on-wall or duct sensor with Modbus connection with/without optional display is an all-in- one device used for det ecting all rele vant measured values, such as humidity, temperature, CO and control of the ent ire room climate. It measures C O / HIGH, temperatures in the range from –35...+80 °C as well as relative air humidity of 0...100 % r.H. Relative humidit y (% r.H.) is the quotient of water vapour partial pressure divided by the sat uration vapour pressure a t the respective gas t emper atur e. A digital, long-term stable sensor as a measuring element for relative humidity and temperature guarantees exact measurement results. T he CO sensor (non-dispersive inf ra-red technology). The detection range of the sensors is calibr ated f or sta ndard applica tions such as monitoring residential rooms and conf erence rooms. Room ventilation on an as-needed basis, improved well-being and cust omer benefit, increased co mfor t as well as reduced operating costs through energy c onser vation are just some of the benefits of employing the AERASGARD there are applications for C O crucial fact or in this respect is that both of these measurands are not convertible into each ot her and derivations An NDI R - CO
measuring instrument measures selectively and cannot det ect any VOCs; a VOC mixed gas sensor cannot detec t CO2 molecules.

Terminating resistor may only be installed at the ends of the bus line. In networks w ith repeaters not more than two line terminations are allowed. Line termination at the device can be activated via DIP switch 6. The bias r esistors for bus level definition in the resting state are usually activated at the Modbus master / repeater.
The maximum number of subscribers per Modbus segment is 32 devices. When the number of subscribers is greater, the bus must be subdivided into several segments separated by repeaters. The subscriber address can be set from 1 to 247.
For the bus line, a twisted-pair cable data line / power supply line and copper mesh wire shield must be used. Therefore, the line capacitance should be less than 100 pF / m (e.g. Profibus cable).

Mounting and Installation
G
Devices are to be connec ted under dead-volt age condition. Devices must only be connec ted t o safety extra- low voltage. Consequential damages caused by a fault in t his device are excluded f rom war rant y or liability. Installation of these devices must only be realized by authorized qualified personnel. The technical data and connect ing conditions shown on the device labels and in the mounting and operating instructions delivered together with the device are exclusively valid. Deviations from the catalogue representation are not explicitly mentioned and are possible in terms of technical pro gress and continuous improvement of our produc ts. In case of any modif ications made by t he user, all warr ant y claims are forfeited. Operating this device close to other dev ices that do not comply with EMC directives may inf luence functionality. This dev ice must not be used for monitoring applications, which solely ser ve the purpose of prot ect ing persons against hazards or injury, or as an EMERGENCY STOP swit ch for systems or machinery, or for any other similar safety-relevant purposes.
Dimensions of enclosures or enclosure accessories may show slight tolerances on the specifications provided in these instructions.
Modif ications of these records are not permitted. In case o f a complaint, only complete devices returned in original
packing will be accepted.
Notes regarding mechanical mounting and attachment:
Mounting shall take place while observing all relevant regulations
-
and standards applicable for the place of measurement (e.g. such as welding instructions, etc.). Par ticularly the following
-
shall be regarded: – VDE ⁄ VDI direct ive technical t emperature measur ements,
measurement set - up for temperature measurements.
– The EMC direc tives must be adhered t o.
– It is imperative to avoid parallel laying of current-carr ying lines.
– We recommend t o use shielded cables with
the shielding being attached at one side to the DDC ⁄ PLC.
Before mounting, make sure that the exis ting thermometer‘s techni
cal par ameters comply wit h the actual conditions at the place of utiliza tion, in par ticular in r espect of:
– Measuring range – Permissible max imum pressure, flow velocity – Installation length, tube dimensions – Oscillations, vibrations, shocks are to be avoided (< 0.5 g)
Attention! In any case, please observe the mechanical and thermal load limits of protective tubes according to DIN 43763 respect ively according to specific S+S standards!

Important notes
G
Our “General Terms and Conditions for Business“ t ogether with the “General Conditions for the Supply of Products and Services of the Electrical and Electronics Industry“ (ZVEI conditions) including supplementary clause “Extended Retention of Title“ apply as the exclusive terms and conditions.
In addition, the f ollowing points are to be observed:
– Devices must only be connect ed to safety extra-low voltage and under dead-voltage condition. To avoid damages and errors a t the device
(e.g. by volt age induction) shielded cables are to be used, laying parallel with current-carrying lines is to be avoided, and EMC directives ar e to be observed.
– This device shall only be used for its intended purpose. Respective safety regulations issued by t he VDE, t he states, their control authorities,
the TÜ V and the local energy supply company must be observed. The purchaser has to adhere to the building and safety regulations and has t o prevent perils of any kind.
– No warranties or liabilities will be assumed for defect s and damages arising from impr oper use of this device.
– Consequential damages caused by a fault in this device are excluded from warranty or liability.
– These devices must be installed by authorised specialists only.
The technical data and connecting c onditions of the mounting and operating instructions delivered together with the device are exclusively valid.
Deviations from the catalogue representation are not explicitly mentioned and are possible in terms of technical progress and continuous improvement of our products.
– In case of any modifications made by the user, all warranty claims are forf eited.
– This device must not be installed close to heat sources (e.g. radiators) or be exposed to their hea t flow. Dir ect sun irradiation or heat
irradiation by similar sour ces (po werful lamps, halogen spotlights) must absolutely be avoided.
– Operating this device close to other devices that do not comply with EMC directives may influence functionality.
– This device must not be used for monitoring applications, which serve the purpose of prot ecting persons against hazards or injury,
or as an EMERGENC Y STOP switch for systems or machinery, or f or any other similar safety- relevant purposes.
– Dimensions of enclosures or enclosure accessories may show slight tolerances on the specifications provided in these instructions.
– Modifications of these records are not permitted.
– In case of a complaint, only complete devices returned in original packing will be accepted.
These instructions must be read befor e installation and putting in operation and all no tes provided therein ar e to be regarded!
