the equipment. Please read and follow these instructions carefully.
Always ensure that the power to the equipment is disconnected before opening the
equipment or commencing any maintenance work.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The following general safety precautions have to be observed during all phases
of operation, service, and the repair of this equipment. Failure to comply with
these precautions or with specific warnings in this manual violates safety
standards of design, manufacture, and intended use of this equipment.
Do not operate in an explosive atmosphere!
Do not operate this equipment in the presence of flammable gases or fumes.
Operation of any electrical instrument in such an environment constitutes
a definite safety hazard.
Water, moisture, heat and humidity
Do not operate this equipment near water or in areas with wet floors or in high
humidity atmosphere where condensation forms on the equipment. It should
never be placed near or over a heat register or other source of heated air and it
should not be installed or operated without proper ventilation.
DMX connections
DMX 3- or 5- pin XLR connectors are located on the front panel of the device.
They are separated into two groups. A group on the left is wired in ratio 1:1 and
marked as DMX input and DMX thru. This line should be terminated by the
termination switch marked as “T”. When line is terminated by 120ohm resistor,
the red LED “T” indicator is on.
The other group on the right consists of 10-way optically/electrically isolated
lines marked with numbers 1 to 10. Each line has a separate power supply and
line driver, and the indication of signal on both signal lines with two LEDs
marked as 2 and 3.

Device use / servicing:
The ON LED indicator indicates the device is on the main power. All other data
indication LEDs being off mean no incoming signal. The termination LED is on
when the termination switch is activated.
When the DMX cable is connected to the device, all LEDs marked as 2 / 3 or the
sign of signal polarity go on. This indicates that DSR10 is functioning properly
and is retransmitting the input to the outputs. If any of LEDs is off, check the
cable first – short circuit on a line causes the respective LED is off.
