This product has been designed for domestic use only. The manufacturer will not accept any responsibility, and the warranty will not apply for any commercial or inappropriate use, or failure to comply with the instructions.
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be applied including the following:
1 Read all instructions before using.
2 Do not leave parts of packaging (plastic bags,
foam polystyrene, screws, etc.) within reach of children or incapable persons as they are potential sources of danger.
3 To protect against risk of electrical shock do
not put the unit in water or any other liquid.
4 Make sure the data on the appliance rating
plate corresponds to that of the main power supply and of your electrical system before plugging into the outlet. In case of doubt,
contact professionally qualied personnel.
5 It is advisable not to use adapters, multiple
plugs and extensions. If absolutely necessary,
use devices certied and conforming to
existing safety standards, making sure they are compatible with your electrical system and with the appliance technical data.
6 Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used around children. Do not allow children or incapable persons to use the appliance.
7 Any installation not conforming to instructions
may endanger your safety and forfeit the warranty.
8 Unplug from the socket when the appliance
is not in use, before putting on or taking o
parts, and before cleaning.
9 Avoid contact with moving parts.
10 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the appliance is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorised service facility for examination, repair or mechanical adjustment.
11 Never leave your appliance to operate
unattended.
12 Do not use outdoors or leave the appliance
exposed to atmospheric agents (sun / rain)
13 Do not use the appliance with bare feet or
wet hands or feet.
14 Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a
table or counter.
15 Keep hands and utensils out of the jug
whilst blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food processor. A spatula may be used but only when the food processor is not running.
16 Handle the metal blade and discs with great
care: they are extremely sharp.
17 Do not switch on the food processor when it
is empty.
18 Ensure the cover is securely locked in place
before operating the the food processor.
19 This appliance is manufactured to conform
to the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1989 and is designed to comply with BS 3456. It complies with the requirements of the EEC Directive (89/336/ EEC). Any connection error will render the warranty void.
20 Always use the push cover to push food down
the feeder tubes, never use your ngers, a
fork, a spoon, a knife or other utensils.
21 Use the accessories one at a time.
22 Only remove the accessories when the
appliance has come to a complete stop.
23 SQ Professional Ltd may not be held liable
for eventual damages to persons, animals or objects caused by incorrect installation or deriving from improper, erroneous or unreasonable use.
24 The maximum duration for continuous
operation of the appliance is 40 seconds, the appliance must rest for 30 minutes before
restarting. Thus after ve 40 second periods,
the appliance should be rested for 1 hour.

USING YOUR BLITZ FOOD PROCESSOR FOR THE FIRST TIME
Before attaching or removing any parts, make sure the power cord is unplugged from the power outlet and speed dial is in the ‘O’ position.
Prior to rst use, wash all the parts that come
into contact with food with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly (see section on Cleaning & Storage).
ALWAYS TAKE CARE WHEN HANDLING THE
BLADES AS THEY ARE VERY SHARP.
Operating Instructions
Follow the instructions below to achieve the best results and to keep your appliance in good working condition.
• Do not exceed the recommended maximum quantities.
• Do not pour liquids hotter than 75°C into the bowl and/or blender.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is on.
• Do not switch the appliance on while it is empty.
• Do not touch the moving parts.
Do not put your ngers or utensils inside the jug or blender when it is operating.
• Do not press down the ingredients into the lid opening with your hands. Use the push cover.
• Do not use the appliance to process ingredients that are hard (e.g. frozen meat, inedible parts of ingredients such as bones and pips), rubbery or sticky (e.g. candied orange peel).
Always switch o the appliance and wait for it to stop completely before removing the lid or changing accessories.
• Always remove the blade from the processor bowl before removing the ingredients.
Food Processing
CHOPPING FUNCTION
Suitable for single stage cake mixes, kneading
butter into our, adding water to mixtures and chopping, puréeing and whisking.
1 Place the drive shaft (8) on the base unit
(10), attach the processor bowl (7) and turn
the handle in a clockwise direction to lock it. (

2 Mount the blade retainer (18) on the drive
shaft (8) in the middle of the processor bowl (7). (

3 Fix the stainless steel blade (17) on the
rotor. Warning! The blade is very sharp.
Please only hold the plastic part.
4 Place ingredients into the processor bowl
(7). Large pieces of food should be cut into
2cm cubes rst. (

5 Place the bowl cover (6) on the processor
bowl (7), and turn it until it clicks and locks. (

6 Plug the mains cable into the electric
socket. Rotate the Speed Control (11) to the desired speed. (
operation diagram e

7 To use the short, powerful impulse
movement, press the PULSE button (12) and hold for the desired time. When the PULSE button is released the appliance immediately stops working.
8 When you have nished chopping, turn
the Speed Control (11) to “0”. When the
processing has nished, open the bowl
cover (6), and carefully remove the stainless steel blade (17) and then the food.
WHISKING FUNCTION
Suitable for beating egg whites, mixing egg and sugar and whipping cream.
The whisking function has the same operating steps as the chopping function. Simply replace the stainless steel blade (17) with the plastic blade (16). (

SLICING & SHREDDING FUNCTION
Suitable for processing rm foods such as carrots
and hard cheeses and softer foods such as
tomatoes and cucumbers.
1 Attach the processor bowl (7) as described
above. (

2 Slide the slicing (13) or shredding blade
(14) onto the blade disc (15) and place it on
the blade retainer (18). (

3 Place the bowl cover (6) on the processor
bowl (7), and turn it until it clicks and locks, and plug the appliance into the electric socket. Select the desired speed. (

3 Food should be cleaned and cut into pieces
that t into the feed tube (5). Push the food down slowly and use the push cover (4) to push it down all the way. (

Blending
1 Ensure that the blender is unplugged then
remove the drive shaft (8), place the blender jug (3) on the base unit (10) and turn the handle in a clockwise direction to lock it. (

2 Place ingredients into the blender jug (3)
and cover with the blender jug lid (2). When correctly closed the lid activates the safety lock (9). If the lock is not activated, the blender will not operate. (

3 Plug the appliance into the electric socket and
rotate the Speed Control (11) to select the desired speed or use the PULSE button (12).
4 To add liquids to remove the blender jug cap
(1) and slowly pour the liquid into the jug.
5 Switch the appliance o by turning the
Speed Control (11) to “0” and pour the contents out of the blender jug.

Cleaning
1 Always unplug from the power outlet
before cleaning.
2 Clean the base unit (10) with a soft, slightly
damp cloth.
Do not wash it under running water and
do not submerge it in water or any other liquid.
3 All the accessories can be washed by hand
or in the dishwasher. Use warm water and mild washing up detergent when hand­washing.
Take extra care when handling the steel
blades.
4 Accessories can be placed in the upper
part of the dishwasher but make sure that the water never exceeds a maximum temperature of 50°C.
5 Do not use chemical or abrasive substances
on any parts.
NOTE
When you have nished cleaning, check that the safety interlocks (9) are not obstructed by residue. If necessary, use a soft brush to clean the appliance whilst it is still unplugged from the mains.
• The blades cannot be sharpened.
• Contact an authorised Service Centre for maintenance work on your appliance.
Storage
• Make sure that your appliance and all its accessories are completely dry before putting them away.
• Your food processor has a space-saving storage system where all accessories can be put away tidily in the bowl.
ATTENTION!
To avoid damages, never use the appliance while the accessories are still inside.
Wiring UK plugs
Should the power cable or the power plug become da maged, arrange for these to be
replaced by Customer Servi ce or qualied
person before continuing to use the appliance.
The product is tted with a 13A BS1362 fuse in
a 13A BS 1363 plug.
Disposal & Environmental protection
To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous substances in electrical and electronic goods, appliances marked with this symbol must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. Please recycle with your local electrical waste centre.
Service
The product is not user serviceable. If it is not working, read the instructions, check the plug fuse and main fuse/circuit breaker. If it is still not working, consult your retailer.
If that does not solve your problem, ring
Customer Services - they may be able to oer
technical advice.
If they advise you to return the product to us, pack it carefully, include a note with your name, address, day phone number, and description of the problem.
If under a warranty, say where and when it was purchased and include proof of purchase. Send it to SQ Professional Ltd.

THE WARRANTY FOR THIS PRODUCT IS COVERED BY SQ PROFESSIONAL LIMITED. ANY FAULTS WITH THIS PRODUCT ARISING THROUGH A MANUFACTURER DEFECT WILL BE COVERED FOR 1 YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE, SUBJECT TO A VALID PROOF OF PURCHASE BEING PRESENTED.
