INSTALLATION
NOTE: Top rail and side panels are offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear (5/16”). This is necessary for
drainage of water condensation. If the side panels are not used, this pitch still needs to be maintained.
1. Place unit on floor or sturdy table. Install the side panels, the panels are indicated Left or Right – be sure to use the proper panel for each side. When properly installed, the flange for securing the panel to windowsill should face into the room.
1b. Slide the panel (open end toward unit) into the guides on the air
conditioner (Fig.2 and Fig.3)
1a. Hold panel firmly in one hand
and gently pull back the accordion curtain with other hand. (Fig.1)
10
1c. Once installed, check to make
sure panel sits securely within the guides. (Fig.4)
1d. Slide the panel all the way in
and repeat with other side.
Note: If storm window blocks AC, refer to Fig.13.
2. With a firm grip on the air 3 conditioner, carefully place the unit into the window opening. The bottom of the air conditioner frame should sit against the windowsill. (Fig.5) Carefully bring the window sash down behind the top rail.
. Extend the side panels out
against the window frame. (Fig.6)

4. Install frame lock between the frame extension 5. Insert and secure ½” (13mm) locking screws and the windowsill. Drive a ¾” (19mm) locking
through frame holes into window sash. (Fig.9&10) screw through the frame lock and into the sill (Fig.7&8)
Note: To prevent the windowsill from splitting, first drill a 1/8” (3mm) pilot hole.
6. To secure lower sash in place, attach the Sash 7 Lock with ¾” (19mm) screws. (Fig.11)
Add wood as shown in Fig.13, or remove storm window before installation.

Board thickness as required for proper pitch to rear. Fasten with nails or screws.
If storm window must remain, be sure the drain holes or slots are not caulked or painted shut. Accumulated water or condensation must be allowed to drain out.
REMOVING AC FROM WINDOW
Turn AC off and disconnect from power source. Remove sash seal from between window sashes. Unscrew and remove Sash Lock and Frame Lock. Slide side panels into frame. Keeping a firm grip on the air conditioner, raise window sash
and carefully tilt unit backwards to drain any water condensation. Carefully lift unit from window opening. Store parts with air conditioner.
