Affected Models: I-220 5” Drop Beams w/ Opposite Side Draw Key
Issue Description:
Dana will no longer manufacture the “original” steer beams shown below. These beams were designed
with an opposite side draw key configuration and will now be serviced by current production beams
designed with draw keys located on the same side. When changing over to the new replacement beam
part numbers, a replacement kingpin kit is a must as it requires the use of a kingpin designed for the
“same side” draw key configuration. Typically when a steer axle beam is replaced in service, a kingpin kit
is normally installed as part of the overhaul. As a result of this changeover a new kingpin service kit P/N
220KK300 was released. 220KK300 is to be used on models that used the 220TB101 design beams.
