This section documents firmware from July 1997 (initial release) through 2004.
For information on firmware released after 2004, see the Release Notes for your

product, which are available on Spectra Logic’s web site.

Note: You must disable backup software or disconnect the host before

performing a firmware update.

Firmware Level T1020.00

Released: November 2002

Improvements and Repaired Defects

• Library no longer answers good to several LUNS. This was causing multiple
libraries to show to host.

• Stopped the carousel from occasionally hitting picker when rotating.

• Short Axis Robotics Error no longer appears with M2 drive firmware version V07.

Improvements and Repaired Defects

• AIT-3 Support (SDX-700C).

• Added new manufacturing tests.

• Fixed problem where inventory was corrupted if door open during initialization.

• This is required firmware for AIT-3 Treefrogs, but is not required for other
Treefrogs.

Firmware Level T1015.00 and TE1015.00

Released: July 2001

Improvements and Repaired Defects

• Host initiate unload command now performs the correct set of steps in stacker
mode (The robot moves the tape to the highest available slot and then gets the
next highest tape and puts it in the drive).

• Unit no longer hangs when receiving a reset during a non-immediate command.

Released: May 2001

Improvements and Repaired Defects

• Fixes inquiry string problem with SDX 500c tape drive reporting as Sony SDX
300c.

• Corrects length mismatch in call to test LunFlgLink.

• Corrects read element status returns.

• Request sense now returns correct data.

• Corrects barcode scanner sweep problems.

• Corrects jams when picker jaws are extended.

• Ecrix VXA-1 and Exabyte Mammoth2 drives now supported.

• Fixes picker problems created by implementation of new drives.

Released: May 2000

Improvements and Repaired defects

• Jaws no longer slipping off tapes causing short axis retries to accumulate beyond
acceptable levels.

• Corrects long axis re-calibration.

Firmware Level 1007.00

Released: November 1999

Improvements and Repaired Defects

• Corrects problems with Dantz Retrospective software - read element status not
returning data if less than requested available.

• Returns move error if drive reports error on unload command.
