1 Introduction
The base st ation is only intended for use with a wire less server . The base st ation is not intended to be connected directly to the PSTN network. The base st ation is designed with two internal antennas and support s antenna diversity. The base station is also able to carry out handover between the RF channels under the same base st ation, and handles four wire less speech channels simult aneously. The base st ati on is able to frame synchronise with other base st ati ons under the same Wireless Server.
T ransmission lenght is up to 1.2 miles on a twisted p air (in one building), e.g. cat.4, between the base st ation and wireless server. The base st ation is also power supplied from this connection (maximum sup ply 1.5 W). The radius of coverage is up to 1960 feet with a handset in free sight. It is possible to connect a maximum of 8 base st ations to a wireless server without an exp ansion board, 16 base st ations with an expansion board and 32 with a linked solution.
2 Inst allation
First you have to determine where to inst all the base st ation to have the right coverage. The average coverage within buildings is 246 feet. The coverage depends on the construction of the building, archite cture and choice of building material. Y ou may have to use the base st ation coverage determination kit (Diagnostic T ooll) to optimize your inst allation. This Diagnostic Tool, consist s of a base st ation which has no need for a wireless server . It can easily be moved around in the building and 1 to 8 handset s can be connected.
Pull the a/b wire from your inst allation through the wall suspension and then mount the wall suspension on the wall.
Connect the a/b wire to the plug at the rear of the base st ation, using the 2 inner connectors of the plug.

If you need to remove the base st ation please sep a rate it from the wall suspension with a gentle push of a screwdriver.
Click the base st ation on to the wall suspension.
Af ter the wireless server is powered up again a cable lenght measurement is needed in order to find the correct Cable Delay Value (CDV).
NOTE! Cable dimensions min. as A WG 26.
