Wall Mounting:
Due to weight of speakers all mounted installations MUST be supported by wood beams/studs. Utilize long screws. Screws need to be tightly secured through the base of the speaker into a wood mount that can support the weight of the speaker. SPECO TECHNOLOGIES WILL
For best secure installations, separate the speakers from their ball mount connections and securely fasten the base by itself to the mounting surface. Upon this conclusion, reattach the speaker (with properly pre-attached speaker wires to terminals) to its ball socket connection, position the speaker to its optimum desired angle placement for sound enjoyment and tighten the three screws around the ball connection with Allen wrench until secure. WARNING: ALWAYS LOOSEN SCREWS PRIOR TO
REPOSITIONING SPEAKER TO DESIRED ANGLE THEN TIGHTEN UPON FINAL SELECTED ANGLE. Forced positioning
of the speaker angle when the ball connection screws are tightened could lead to a loose ball connection of the speakers. This type of mishandling is not covered in the warranty.

Speaker Construction:
Your Speco Technologies’ IO2 Speakers are constructed of a high-end UV/water-resistant ABS Plastic to ensure countless years of use and enjoyment.
The durable casing can be cared for and cleaned for by wiping it down occasionally with a household glass cleaning solution.
Your IO2 speakers are weatherproof and will not be affected by exposure to normal weather conditions (Temperature 40°F-150°F); however,
these speakers should never be submerged in water.
Connecting and Mounting Your Speakers:
Please follow these directions for using your IO2 speakers:
Connecting:
It is important that before making any connections with the speaker terminals on your IO2 Speakers that your power source, amplifier and/or receiver is completely off. After the power source is off, carefully untighten the red and black terminal connects on the back of the speakers by turning them counterclockwise until the mounting holes in the underlying screw terminal are visible. Pass the positive/red connection wire from your amplifier through the underlying screw hole on the red terminal, then tighten the terminal securely by turning clockwise until the speaker wire is secure. Do likewise with the black/common speaker wire from your amplifier on the black connection terminal

Wiring & Impedance:
Upon connecting 2 speakers in a parallel wiring application, realize that the impedance of the speakers will be 4 ohms and act accordingly. Make sure amplifier has impedance matching feature, or run through an interior volume control that is impedance matching to keep the all the components of the sound system at 8 ohms.
16-gauge wire is recommended for applications that use less than 50 watts and are less are 50 ft. long. For applications that utilize more than 50 watts and/or a run of longer than 50 ft., 14-gauge wire is recommended. Use waterproof speaker wire for outdoor applications.
