Safety
• Adult supervisi on is strongly recom mended, and use extr a caution when playin g near water or ice.
• Operate your vehicle i n a safe area away from peop le, pets, cars, etc. Do no t operate on streets or a fter dark.
• Do not touch or try to pick u p the vehicle when it is in m otion. Wait until it stops co mpletely.
• Keep hair, ngers, face a nd loose clothing away fro m top and rear propell ers while the vehicle i s switched on or while the t ransmitter is operatin g.
• Never block rotation of to p lift fan or allow any obj ect to go through the top, bo ttom or rear grilles .
• Do not drive hovercraf t into walls or other hard o bjects.
Batter ies and Cha rger
Included: 9.6V rechar geable battery pack, battery charger for Ni-Cd battery packs and one 9V b attery
for the trans mitter.
Batter y Cautions

1. Make sure the batteries a re inserted corr ectly, and follow the toy and bat tery manufactu rer’s instructions.
2. Make sure battery po larity (directio n) is correct.
3. Use only recommended battery type(s).
4. Remove rechargeab le batteries from th e product before cha rging. Recharge ba tteries only unde r adult supervisi on, and follow the
battery a nd charger manufa cturer’s instructio ns.
Other Ba ttery C autions
1. Remove batte ry from vehicle afte r use. Battery may be h ot.
2. N ever pull the battery p ack out of the vehicle by pu lling the wire or the bat tery. Always unplug the ba ttery by pulling the c onnector.
3. Remove batteries fr om the product for stor age.
4.
Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
5. Do not shor t-circuit batter y terminals.
6. Dispose of batter ies safely and prope rly, according to your loc al requirements.

• Make sure the batteries are inserted with correct polarity, and follow the toy and battery manufacturer’s instructions.

• I f you use a battery cha rger, it should be examine d regularly for dama ge to the cord, plug, enc losure and other par ts. Do not use a dama ged battery cha rger until it has been p roperly repaire d.

Precautions
Batter y Charging and Car e
Vehicle will not r un without a 9.6V rechar geable Ni-Cd bat tery pack and matchi ng charger. Always follow th e instructions that c ome with your bat tery pack and charg er. Adult supervisio n of battery charg ing is required.
War ning: The trans former/charger is not a toy. Toy must only be used with re commended transform er/charger. Bat tery toys intended to be u sed in water shall state that it is o perated in water only when fu lly
assemble d in accordance with the in structions.
Running a nd Charging Times
1. Ni- Cd battery packs a re not like alkaline bat teries. They lose al l their power suddenly, not g radually, and the vehicl e will stop very soon af ter slowing down, with li ttle warning. This is n ormal, but keep this in mind, e specially when ope rating on water since yo u need to get the vehicle ba ck before the batter y power runs out.
2. R unning time will be abou t 7 to 8 minutes for a freshl y charged Ni-Cd bat tery pack in good co ndition.
BATTERY CHAR GING IN STRUCTI ONS
Drain Dow n–Coo l Down–Charge U p
1. Af ter the rst charge, fo r best performa nce, always run the batte ry pack all the way down befor e recharging. Run unt il vehicle slows to a stop. Failu re to completely drain down the b attery could sho rten the battery l ife.
N ote: If you are operating th e vehicle on water, retrieve the ve hicle
while batte ry power is still stron g and perform this D rain Down procedur e on land. (Do no t operate with other kin ds of vehicles or near wa ter.)
2. A llow the battery pac k to cool before rechar ging.
Batter y Heat
1. The b attery gets hot af ter use. This is norma l, but be careful. Wait the u ntil battery is coo l (20 minutes or m ore if needed) befor e charging. Chargin g batteries while th ey are hot will severely red uce the number of time s they can be recharge d.
2. Af ter charging, the ba ttery pack will be wa rm. This is normal.
CHARGING I NSTRUCTIONS
(Adult Su pervision Requ ired)
1. Plug wa ll pack charger into a s tandard wall outlet .
2. C onnect the batter y pack plug to the charge r plug as shown in Secti on II.
3. Red light on charge r will light up to show charg er is operating. No rmal charging time is a pproximately 5 hour s.
4. U nplug charger fro m wall after 5 hours of cha rging.
5. A fter charging, the b attery pack will fe el warm. This is norma l.
6. If at any time during cha rging the battery p ack becomes hot, dis continue the proce ss immediately.
7. Never leave charger a nd battery unatte nded during the cha rging process.
Recharg eable Bat tery Tips
1. Do no t overcharge the batte ry pack. Unplug the c harger from the wall a t the end of the recommen ded charging time (Approxim ately 5 hours).
2. S tore your battery pa ck discharged.
3. Your battery pack will ho ld a charge during sto rage for a shorter tim e in hot weather. Otherw ise, you can charge a bat tery a day or so in advan ce of your use.
4. A lways run your hovercra ft with a fully charge d battery pack. It i s better to always use a full y charged batter y pack, than to operate with a parti al battery charg e.
5. W hen the run time from th is battery pack be comes shorter an d shorter, it is most likely t ime to replace the b attery pack.
