Rotatable horn (SM890i-WX)

Grille

The SM890i-WX has a rotatable horn for 85° or 110° positioning.

Speaker ships in the 110º vertical (85º horizontal) position. To change to
85º vertical (110º horizontal), prior to installation, follow these directions:

1. To rotate the horn, disengage

1. Unpack speaker and

mounting hardware.

5. Connect signal wire to

four-pin Euroblock plug. Use
inside positive and negative
inputs for either voice coil or
distributed systems. For daisy
chaining, use outside positive
and negative terminals. Tighten
unused terminal screws.

2. Choose a secure mounting

surface with sucient strength
to reliably hold the speaker.
Mounting bracket accom­modates screwing, through­bolting and strapping
installation options.

The max. strap width is

0.73 in / 18.5 mm.

6. Insert four-pin Euroblock jack

on rear of speaker. Connectors
are keyed for polarity.

3. Feed speaker wire through

speaker wire hole before
mounting. Thread safety cable
(included) through mounting
screw and securely fasten
mounting plate to surface
(user must supply fasteners).
Mounting bracket may also
be strap-mounted to pole or
appropriate anchor point.

7. Slide speaker into wall mount

plate until it locks into place.

4. Slip terminal weather boot

over signal wire. For environ­mental applications, put sealant
around nipple and base when
installation is complete.

8. Clip snap link with safety

cable to mounting bracket.

9. Select the desired setting

on the rear-mounted tap switch.
Use table to right to choose
appropriate tap number based on
system voltage, and desired
power draw.

10. Aim speaker in desired

direction, close tension lever
and insert tension lever screw.
