The Playtrim Circuit
Our tuner/decks feature the Playtrim Circuit. This special circuit, developed
by Dolby Labs and NAD., compensates for high-frequency inaccuracies in
cassettes. Problems such as bias and equalization variations, tape sa tura
tion, head azimuth misalignment, tape skewing and loss of highs in old
dynamic mistracking of the noise reduction system.
The Playtrim Circuit compensates for these problems by allowing the user to
adjust the high-frequency playback EQ before Dolby NR in the signal path.
This prevents Dolby mistracking.
The Playtrim function allows playback of all cassettes to approach the high
fidelity ideal of totally accurate reproduction.
