1. INTRODUCTION
PCM-8000 MATCH is a set of two condenser microphones
with 16 mm diaphragm, designed for stereophonic miking of
acoustic instruments, overall shots of drums, choirs and live
performances.
The two microphones are matched with tolerance within 1dB,
in order to assure same frequency response, polar pattern and
sensitivity values. They are also equipped with 0dB/-10dB gain
selector and 100Hz low-cut lter to adapt to all sources and mic
preamps (+48V phantom power is required).
The pressure gradient capsule with cardioid polar pattern is
based on a 16mm gold-plated diaphragm. The process of plat-
ing with gold vapors deposited on the surface, gives lightness,
an excellent electrical capacity and a linear frequency response.
The body of the microphone, in lightweight and sturdy metal,
contains the JFET preamplier to maintain a high isolation between input and output stage, and low self-noise.

3. ACCESSORIES
The Kit, in addition to the Matched Microphones, includes 1x
Plastic Case with foam inside, 2x Shock-Mount Mic Holders
(with 3/8 “to 5/8” adapters), 1 Adjustable Stereo Bar, and 2
Pop-Filters.

4. SUPPLYING POWER
PCM-8000 MATCH microphones require +48V Phantom Power.
Please use 3-pin XLR audio cables to connect these micro-
phones to the mixer (or other preamp board) before applying
power, and never remove the cable while the power is connect-
ed.
If the mixer or preamp does not contain this phantom power
requirement, then a +48V external phantom power supply is
required.
5. MICROPHONE SETUP
After having placed the two microphones on the bar, start
adjusting sound on your mixer by setting to ‘OFF’ or ‘FLAT’ the
channel EQ rst. Then try to reach your sound by changing the

acoustic characteristics of the room/place you’re going to play
in. This can be done by placing either reective or absorbent
panels at various angles adjacent to the source being recorded.
Finally, remember to act on PAN knobs of Mic channels, in order
to give the desired stereo placement of the two microphones.
Then use EQ, reverb, echo or any signal processing to create
special eects, according to your creative idea.
6. STORAGE
After use, remove eventually pop lters from PCM-8000 MATCH
microphones, wipe them with a clean cloth and place in the
supplied plastic case.
In any case, please be noticed that a condenser capsule is extremely sensitive to moisture. So, if these microphones are used
regularly, we strongly suggest you to cover with a protective
cloth.

10. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specic to the date of purchase as
shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the
above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modication of the product eected by the user or a
third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or manufacturing faults free of charge at
SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or by exchanging
individual parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts
removed from a product during the course of a warranty claim
shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be
returned to your local SOUNDSATION dealer together with
original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages in transit,
please use the original packaging if available. Alternatively you
can send the product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via
Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati - Italy . In order to send
a product to service center you need an RMA number. Shipping
charges have to be covered by the owner of the product.

1. INTRODUZIONE
Il PCM-8000 MATCH è un set composto da due microfoni a
condensatore con diaframma da 16 mm, pensato per riprese
stereofoniche di strumenti acustici, riprese d’insieme per batteria, cori ed esibizioni dal vivo.
I microfoni sono accoppiati con tolleranza entro 1dB in modo
da orire risposta in frequenza, diagramma polare e sensibilità
quasi coincidenti tra le due Capsule. Essi sono inoltre dotati
di selettore di guadagno 0dB/-10dB e ltro di taglio a 100Hz
per adattarsi a tutte le sorgenti e preamplicatori microfonici.
Richiedono, inoltre, l’alimentazione Phantom a 48V.
La capsula a gradiente di pressione con diagramma polare cardioide si basa su un diaframma da 16mm placcato in oro. Il pro-
cesso di placcatura con vapori di oro depositati sulla supercie,

in frequenza lineare. Il corpo del microfono, in metallo leggero
e robusto, contiene il preamplicatore a JFET per mantenere un
elevato isolamento tra stadio di ingresso e uscita, e un basso

3. ACCESSORI
Il kit - racchiuso in una pratica valigetta con imbottitura di protezione, oltre ai due microfoni, include due supporti anti-shock
con adattatori da 3/8” a 5/8”, barra distanziatrice con relazione
della distanza e dell’inclinazione dei due microfoni e due ltri
anti-pop.

4. REQUISITI DI ALIMENTAZIONE
Il microfono PCM-6000 Pro richiede un’alimentazione Phantom
da 9V a 52V. Utilizzare un cavo audio XLR a 3 poli per collegare
il microfono al mixer (o altra scheda di preamplicazione) prima
di applicare l’alimentazione e non rimuovere mai il cavo mentre
l’alimentazione è collegata.
Se il mixer o il preamplicatore non sono dotati di alimentazione phantom, è necessario un alimentatore phantom esterno.
5. UTILIZZO DEL MICROFONO
Dopo aver posizionato i due microfoni sui supporti anti-shock e
sulla barra, iniziare la regolazione del suono sul mixer impostan-
do prima su “OFF” o “FLAT” i ltri EQ dei due canali. Quindi, aggiustando le caratteristiche acustiche della stanza / luogo in cui
si sta utilizzando il microfono, si otterrà il suono desiderato. Ciò
può essere fatto posizionando pannelli riettenti o assorbenti a
vari angoli adiacenti alla sorgente che si sta registrando.
Inne, agire sui controlli PAN per attribuire maggiore spazialità
nel panorama stereofonico, usare EQ, riverbero, eco o qualsiasi
elaborazione del segnale per creare eetti speciali, in base ai
propri gusti.
6. CUSTODIA
Dopo l’uso, rimuovere eventualmente il ltro anti-pop dai microfoni e quindi, rimuovere polvere, grassi,etc. usando un panno
pulito, rimetterli nella valigetta in dotazione. In ogni caso, si noti
che un microfono a condensatore è estremamente sensibile
all’umidità. Quindi, se viene usato regolarmente, si consiglia
vivamente di coprirlo con un panno protettivo

di due anni. Questa garanzia di due anni è valida dalla data di
acquisto, come indicato dal documento di acquisto.

rimediando gratuitamente e a discrezione di SOUNDSATION
sia mediante riparazione o sostituendo singole parti o l’intero
apparecchio. Eventuali parti difettose rimosse da un prodotto
durante il corso di una richiesta di garanzia diventano di proprietà di SOUNDSATION.
Durante il periodo di garanzia, i prodotti difettosi possono
