1)^Water and Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.

The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat.
3)^Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer's instructions.

4)^Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5)^Power Cord and Plug
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat
the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two
poles; a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer
to an electrician for replacement.
6)^Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
7)^Fuse
To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommended fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet.
8)^Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
9)^Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzol or alcohol.
10)^Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.
WARNING: Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporar-
ily damage your sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be
careful to select a suitable volume.

1. UNPACKING
Thank you for purchasing LIVEMAKER X active portable PA system. Each unit has been
well tested and shipped in perfect operating conditions. Carefully unpack all the cartons
and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

f 2 x Satellite Passive speakers
f 2 x Speakon cables to connect the subwoofer to satellite speakers.

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep packing material for inspection. Again, please save cartons and all packing materials. If the
unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that the unit is returned in
the original manufacturer’s packing. Please do not take any action without rst contacting us.
WARNING: Packing materials are not toys. Keep out of reach of children.
Keep in a safe place the original packaging material for future use.
1.1. Getting Started
LIVEMAKER X is an active portable PA system. It is part of a wider range of SOUNDSATION Pro Audio product line with characteristics of compactness, lightness and easy to
use. They are ideal for many music purpose. Make sure there is enough space around
the system for proper ventilation and prevent overheating especially regarding the
integrated mixer. LIVEMAKER X is connected to mains through the supplied cable. The
product meets the required safety standards. Blown fuses must be replaced with fuses
of the same type and specication.
Make sure that the system must be properly grounded. For your safety, you
should never remove any ground connector from electrical devices or power
cables, or make them inoperative.
Our products are subject to a continuous process of further development. Therefore
modications to the technical features remain subject to change without further notice

2. OVERVIEW
LIVEMAKER X is the result of years of experience gathered by SOUNDSATION in
Portable Sound systems, a segment where quality, versatility and value for money are
absolutely essential. LIVEMAKER X system with its powerful 1800-watt (Peak) power
amp delivers astounding performance for mobile applications especially for musicians
and DJs. The system is equipped with a high-performance 10” subwoofer, two satellite speakers (6 x 2.75” Wide-band Speakers) and integrated mixer. In addition to the
Bluetooth, the system integrates a DSP for Audio with 4 Presets and a 24Bit DSP FX
with 16 genuine eects to add to the MIC inputs choosing the level for each channel.
The enclosures (ABS for the satellites and Plywood for the sub-woofer) are strong and
lightweight and have a pleasant look.

3. MAINS CONNECTION
Connect the device to the mains with the supplied power cable. The wire correspondence is as follow:

4. AUDIO CONNECTIONS
You will need several audio cables for the various connections of the system. See the
pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only high
quality cables.
4.1. RCA Connections
Use commercial RCA cables to connect unbalanced stereo sources with RCA output
connectors to the RCA Line stereo input ( AUX IN CH 3/4) of the built-in mixer.

4.4. XLR Connections
The Inputs CH1 and CH2 accept balanced XLR or balanced/unbalanced 1/4” Jack plugs
with Mic or Line level signals. In the case of balanced XLR cable the pin-out will be as

amp or processor, electronic drum machine, etc.

This switch enables Bluetooth pairing with a remote Bluetooth device.

This LED lights up when a remote device with Bluetooth has been paired.

1)^MONO/STEREO SWITCH
When STEREO MODE is selected, LIVEMAKER X routes the two signals from the left and
right inputs to the corresponding satellite speakers. If a MONO signal is sent to either
the left or right channel of LIVEMAKER X, enabling the MONO MODE will route the
signal to both satellite speakers. When MONO MODE is selected, and a STEREO signal
is used, both the left and the right channels will be summed.
2)^POWER INDICATOR LED
When the power cord is connected to the AC power connector and the power switch is
in the ON position, the POWER indicator lights (GREEN LED).

3)^LIMIT INDICATOR LED
This LED indicates (lit in red) that the limiter is ON when excessive integral power
consumption is detected. This means that if the system is used at a very high volume
such that the indicator ashes continuously, the internal power amplier section will
be excessively overloaded and may malfunction. When this happens, please reduce the
MASTER LEVEL and/or the others LEVEL CONTROLS so that the LED blinks only briey
on the highest transient peaks.
4)^MASTER VOLUME
This control adjusts the master volume level of the LIVEMAKER X system.
5)^SUBWOOFER VOLUME
This control adjusts the low frequencies level related only to the subwoofer
5.5. 24 BIT DSP SECTION
LIVEMAKER X has a 24 Bit DSP that allows to have 16 high quality eects available to
add to the MIC inputs choosing the level for each channel (CH1 / CH2). Using the relat-
ed knob, it is possible select the desired eect.

5.6. MIX OUT SECTION
MIX OUT
It is a XLR output that contains the mix of all inputs and all controls. It can be used to
route the audio signal to another destination such as recording device, monitor, sub-
woofer or to another PA System.

In this panel section it is possible to change the audio response adjusting the timbre to
the relevant applications. By pressing the DSP PRESET switch, it is possible to scroll the
following modes:
f MUSIC: To be used for music recording and playback.
f LIVE: The ideal preset for most “live” application.
f DJ: Recommended for installations in discos and clubs.
f SPEECH: This preset allows the best speech intelligibility.
The selected mode will be indicated by the relative LED.

Plug the power cord into an AC socket properly congured for your particular model. In
case of fuse burn, to prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of
the recommended fuse type as indicated in the rear panel silkscreening. Before replac-
ing the fuse, make sure the unit turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet

This selector allows you to select the input supply voltage. It is protected by a plexiglass

8. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specic
to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modication of the product eected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or manufacturing
faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or by exchanging individual
parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed from a product during the course of a
warranty claim shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local SOUNDSATION
dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages in transit, please use the
original packaging if available. Alternatively you can send the product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE
CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati - Italy . In order to send a product to service
center you need an RMA number. Shipping charges have to be covered by the owner of the product.

1) ACQUA / UMIDITA
L’apparecchio deve essere protetto dall’umidità e dalla pioggia, non può essere usato
in prossimità di acqua; ad esempio nei pressi di una vasca da bagno, di un lavandino, di

3) VENTILAZIONE
Non ostruite le prese d’aria per la ventilazione: ciò potrebbe provocare incendi. Installate sempre l’unità secondo le istruzioni del produttore.
4) Introduzione di oggetti e liquidi
Non introdurre oggetti o versare liquidi all’interno dell’apparato per ragioni di sicurezza
5) Cavo di alimentazione e spina
Evitate che il cavo di alimentazione venga calpestato o schiacciato, in particolare in
prossimità delle spine, delle prese e del punto in cui fuoriesce dall’apparecchio. Non
vanicate la nalità di sicurezza della spina con messa a terra. Una spina normale o
“polarizzata” ha due soli terminali; una spina con messa a terra ha un terzo polo di
terra. Questo ulteriore terminale serve per la vostra sicurezza. Se la spina fornita non si
inserisce nella presa, consultate un elettricista per l’eventuale sostituzione.
6) ALIMENTAZIONE
L’apparecchio deve essere collegato alla sorgente di alimentazione elettrica del tipo
indicato sull’apparecchio o descritto nel manuale. In caso contrario si potrebbero
provocare danni al prodotto ed eventualmente all’utente. Staccate la spina in caso di
temporali o quando non viene utilizzato per lunghi periodi di tempo.
7) Fusibile
Per evitare il rischio di incendi e di danni all’unità, utilizzate solo il tipo di fusibile descritto nel manuale. Prima di sostituire il fusibile, assicuratevi che l’apparecchio sia spento e scollegato dalla presa di corrente.
8) Collegamento alla rete elettrica

1. DISIMBALLAGGIO
Grazie per aver acquistato il sistema PA portatile attivo LIVEMAKER X. Ogni unità è
stata testata e spedita in perfette condizioni operative. Disimballare con cura i cartoni
e controllare il contenuto per assicurarsi che tutte le parti siano presenti e in buone
condizioni
• 1 x Subwoofer con mixer integrato.
• 2 x Diusori satellite passivi.
• 2 x Cavi di tipo Speakon per la connessione del subwoofer ai diusori satellite.
• 2 x Stands per i diusori satellite.
• 2 x Borse imbottite per i diusori satellite.

In caso di danni durante il trasporto, informare immediatamente lo spedizioniere e

1.1. Introduzione
LIVEMAKER X è un sistema PA portatile attivo. Fa parte di una gamma più ampia di
prodotti SOUNDSATION Pro Audio con caratteristiche di compattezza, leggerezza e facilità d’uso. Sono ideali per molti scopi musicali. Assicurarsi che ci sia abbastanza spazio
intorno al sistema per una corretta ventilazione e prevenire il surriscaldamento soprattutto per quanto riguarda il mixer integrato. LIVEMAKER X è collegato alla rete tramite
il cavo in dotazione. Il prodotto soddisfa gli standard di sicurezza richiesti. I fusibili
bruciati devono essere sostituiti con fusibili dello stesso tipo e speciche.
Assicurarsi che tutte le unità siano correttamente messe a terra. Per motivi
di sicurezza, non rimuovere mai i connettori di messa a terra dai dispositivi
elettrici o dai cavi di alimentazione, né renderli inutilizzabili.
I nostri prodotti sono soggetti a un processo di ulteriore sviluppo continuo. Pertanto le
variazioni alle caratteristiche tecniche sono soggette a modiche senza preavviso.

2. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
LIVEMAKER X è il risultato di anni di esperienza acquisita da SOUNDSATION nei sistemi
audio portatili; un segmento in cui qualità, versatilità e rapporto qualità-prezzo sono
assolutamente essenziali. Il sistema LIVEMAKER X con il suo potente amplicatore da
1800 watt (picco) ore straordinarie prestazioni per le applicazioni mobili, specialmente
per musicisti e DJ. Il sistema è dotato di un subwoofer da 10 “ad alte prestazioni, due
altoparlanti satellitari (6 x 2.75” diusori a banda larga “) e un mixer integrato. Oltre al
Bluetooth, il sistema integra un DSP per audio con 4 preset e un DSP FX a 24 bit con 16
eetti originali da aggiungere agli ingressi MIC scegliendo il livello per ciascun canale.
Gli involucri (in ABS per i satelliti e in compensato per il subwoofer) sono robusti, leg-
geri ed hanno un aspetto piacevole.

3. CONNESSIONE ALLA RETE ELETTRICA
Collegare il dispositivo alla rete elettrica con il cavo di alimentazione in dotazione. La

4. CONNESSIONI AUDIO
Saranno necessari più cavi per le varie connessioni da e verso subwoofer. Fare riferimento alle immagini sotto che mostrano il cablaggio interno di questi cavi. Assicurarsi
di utilizzare solo cavi di alta qualità.
4.1. Connessioni RCA
Utilizzare cavi RCA per collegare sorgenti stereo sbilanciate con connettori di uscita
RCA all’ingresso stereo RCA Line (AUX IN 5/6) del mixer integrato o per collegare l’ingresso RCA di dispositivi esterni come altoparlanti PA, mixer, ecc. Con l’uscita MIX OUT
del dispositivo.

Quando viene selezionato STEREO MODE, LIVEMAKER X indirizza i due segnali dagli
ingressi sinistro e destro ai diusori satellite corrispondenti. Se un segnale MONO
viene inviato al canale sinistro o destro di LIVEMAKER X, l’abilitazione di MONO MODE
indirizzerà il segnale a entrambi i diusori satellite. Quando viene selezionato MONO
MODE e viene utilizzato un segnale STEREO, i canali sinistro e destro verranno sommati

Quando il cavo di alimentazione è collegato al connettore di rete AC e l’interruttore di
alimentazione è in posizione ON, l’indicatore POWER si accende (LED VERDE).

3) INDICATORE LIMIT (LED)
Questo LED indica (acceso in rosso) che il limitatore è acceso quando viene rilevato
un consumo di potenza eccessivo. Ciò signica che se il sistema viene utilizzato a un
volume molto alto in modo che l’indicatore lampeggi continuamente, la sezione in-
terna dell’amplicatore di potenza sarà eccessivamente sovraccaricata e potrebbe non
funzionare correttamente. Quando ciò accade, ridurre il LIVELLO MASTER e / o gli altri
COMANDI DI LIVELLO in modo che il LED lampeggi solo brevemente sui picchi transitori più alti.
4) CONTROLLO VOLUME GENERALE
Questo controllo regola il livello del volume generale del sistema LIVEMAKER X.
5) CONTROLLO VOLUME SUBWOOFER
Questo controllo regola il livello delle basse frequenze in relazione solo al subwoofer.
5.5. SEZIONE DSP FX (24 BIT)
LIVEMAKER X ha un DSP a 24 bit che consente di avere a disposizione16 eetti di alta
qualità da aggiungere agli ingressi MIC scegliendo il livello per ciascun canale (CH1 /
CH2). Usando la manopola relativa, è possibile selezionare l’eetto desiderato.

5.6. SEZIONE MIX OUT
MIX OUT
Questa è una uscita di tipo XLR dove si avrà il mix di tutti gli input e tutti i controlli. Può
essere utilizzato per indirizzare il segnale audio verso un’altra destinazione, ad esempio
un dispositivo di registrazione, un monitor, un subwoofer o un altro sistema PA.

Tutti i prodotti SOUNDSATION dispongono di una garanzia di due anni. Questa garanzia di due
anni è valida dalla data di acquisto, come indicato dal documento di acquisto.
I seguenti casi / componenti non sono coperti dalla garanzia di cui sopra:
• Tutti gli accessori forniti con il prodotto
• Uso improprio
• Guasto dovuto all’usura
• Ogni modica del prodotto eettuata dall’utente o da terzi
SOUNDSATION deve soddisfare gli obblighi di garanzia dovuti a eventuali materiali non conformi
o difetti di fabbricazione, rimediando gratuitamente e a discrezione di SOUNDSATION sia mediante riparazione o sostituendo singole parti o l’intero apparecchio. Eventuali parti difettose rimosse
da un prodotto durante il corso di una richiesta di garanzia diventano di proprietà di SOUNDSATION.
Durante il periodo di garanzia, i prodotti difettosi possono essere restituiti al rivenditore SOUNDSATION locale con prova di acquisto originale. Per evitare danni durante il trasporto, si prega di
utilizzare l’imballo originale, se disponibile. In alternativa è possibile inviare il prodotto a SERVICE
CENTER SOUNDSATION - Via Enzo Ferrari, 10 - 62017 Porto Recanati - Italia. Per poter inviare un
prodotto al centro di assistenza è necessario un numero di RMA. Le spese di trasporto devono
essere coperte dal proprietario del prodotto.
