1) Water / Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
2) Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat.

3) Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4) Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5) Power Cord and Plug
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat
the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two
poles; a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet,
refer to an electrician for replacement.
6) Fuse
To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommended fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet.
7) Electrical Connection
Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
8) Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.
9) Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.
10) Warning
Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporarily damage your sense
of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be careful to select a suitable volume.

Thank you for purchasing HYPER-PRO ACX Series active loudspeakers. Each unit has
been well tested and shipped in perfect operating conditions. Carefully unpack the car-
ton and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep pack-

ing material for inspection. Again, please save the carton and all the packing materials. If the unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that the unit is
returned in the original manufacturer’s packing. Please do not take any action without
rst contacting us.
WARNING: Packaging box is not a toy! Keep out of reach of children!!! Keep
in a safe place the original packaging material for future use.
2. ACCESSORIES
SOUNDSATION can supply a wide range of quality accessories that you can use with
HYPER-PRO ACX speaker, like mixers, Cables, Microphones, stands, etc.
All products in our catalogue has been long tested with this device so we recommend
to use Genuine SOUNDSATION Accessories and Spare Parts.
Ask your SOUNDSATION dealer for any accessories you could need to ensure best
performance of the product.
3. OVERVIEW
The Bi-Amplied Active speakers of the HYPER-PRO ACX series are part of the high
range of SOUNDSATION Pro Audio products. Peak powers of 1600 W and 1800W
respectively for 12“ and 15” models, selected transducers, CELESTION® compression
drivers, powerful DSP: all the ingredients cleverly combined to oer the best even to
the most demanding professionals. HYPER-PRO ACX series 12” and 15” woofers sound
punchy and loud; the 1.35” driver lets them sound crystal clear.
Sound control via the DSP is really simple. By pressing the PRESET switch you can
choose between 4 audio programs (LIVE, DJ, SPEECH, MONITOR); the character of the
sound will change and the corresponding LED will show the selected mode.
The rear panel, organized in a very simple way and with separately controllable inputs,
allows the choice of devices to be connected as a microphone, a mixer, an instrument, a
CD player, a smartphone etc. In the three panel sections, input levels can quickly be set
with gain controls independently of each other.

HYPER-PRO ACX Series active loudspeakers have several connectors, controls, and
indicators the use of which you should understand.
1) IEC Socket with Fuse holder
Plug the power cord into an AC socket properly congured for your particular model. In
case of fuse burn, to prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of
the recommended fuse type as described in “8. SPECIFICATIONS” on page 14. Before
replacing the fuse, make sure the unit turned o and disconnected from the AC outlet.
Note: If you happen to lose the AC line-cord, always use a three-pin plug
with a ground pin. The wire correspondence is as follow:

Always connect the earth! Pay attention to your safety!
Before taking into operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an
expert.

2) AC MAINS SELECTOR
This selector allows you to select the input supply voltage. It is protected by a Plexiglas
cover to prevent an accidental and incorrect voltage selection.
3) POWER Switch
Press the switch to the ON position to turn the speaker on and to the OFF position to
turn it o.
4) HPF Switch
This switch allows to select the cuto frequency of the high pass lter. Placing this
switch on [120Hz] will cut the low frequency components below the threshold. If the
unit is used independently, the switch must remain in position [OFF]. If you intend to
use the unit in combination with a sub-woofer, we recommend that you set this switch
to [120Hz].
5) LIMIT INDICATOR (LED)
This LED (red) indicates that the limiter is on when the output voltage of the amplier
exceeds the maximum level, or when power overload is detected. Some ashing of this
LED may be normal, but if it stays on for a long time, lower the input level.
6) FRONT LED SWITCH
This switch allows to turn ON/OFF the Blue front LED.
7) DSP PRESETS PANEL SECTION
In this panel section it is possible to change the speaker response adjusting the timbre
to the relevant applications. By pressing the PRESET switch, it is possible to scroll the
following modes:
f LIVE: The ideal preset for most “live” application.
f DJ: Recommended for installations in discos and clubs.
f SPEECH: The speaker allows the best speech intelligibility.
f MONITOR: The speaker becomes specially suited for use as “stage monitor”.
The selected mode will be indicated by the relative LED.
8) MIC/LINE 1 INPUT PANEL SECTION
In this panel section there is a connector (female XLR-type) that accept balanced MIC or
LINE level signals. By using LINE/MIC switch it is possible to adapt the gain to microphone or line level signal; The LEVEL knob allows to adjust the input signal level.
The THRU connector (male XLR-type) produce exactly the same signal that arrive in the
input . Use it to daisy-chain several HYPER-PRO ACX speakers.
NOTE: Please notice that the input connector do not supply +48V Phantom
Power, so you can use condenser microphones only if self-powered.

9) LINE 2 INPUT PANEL SECTION
This section includes 2 Jack 1/4” inputs (L/MONO, R) to connect musical instruments,
Mixer etc. The input audio signal can be adjusted by using the relative knob.
10) LINE 3 INPUT PANEL SECTION
This panel section includes:
• One 1/8” Mini-jack plug that can be used to connect mobile phones, tablets, computers, etc.
• Two unbalanced inputs for RCA pin jacks that can be used to connect any external
stereo device such as Mp3 Player, CD player, Mixer, Etc.
• One knob to adjust the input audio signal
Note: The Mini-Jack and RCA stereo inputs can not be used at the same time
11) LINK OUT PANEL SECTION
From the XLR “LINK OUT” audio signals are sent (routed from each INPUT) to a connected HYPER-PRO ACX loudspeaker. The LINK OUT output must be connected to
the INPUT 1 (XLR) of the HYPER-PRO ACX loudspeaker. The audio signals coming out
of the LINK OUT jack are line level and therefore it is necessary to set the MIC / LINE
switch to the LINE position on the connected HYPER-PRO ACX loudspeaker.
The “LINK OUT MODE” switch enables you to select whether the mixed signal (on the
original HYPER-PRO ACX) will be played in stereo or monaural on the original and
linked HYPER-PRO ACX. The following signals are mixed and output according to the
switch setting.

5. AUDIO CONNECTIONS
You will need several cables for the various connections to and from the speaker. See
the pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only
high quality cables.
You can, of course, also connect unbalanced equipment to balanced inputs. Use either
mono and stereo jack, making sure ring and collar are connected together (or pins 1 &
3 in the case of XLR connectors).

6. FIXED INSTALLATION
The installation of HYPER-PRO ACX speakers has to be built and constructed in a way
that it can hold 10 times the weight for 1 hour without any harming demolition. The
installation must always be secured with a secondary safety attachment (e.g. an appropriate catch net). This secondary safety attachment must be constructed in a way that
no part of the installation can fall down if the main attachment fails.
When rigging, de-rigging or servicing the unit, staying in the area below the installation
place, on bridges, under high working places and other endangered areas is forbidden.
The operator has to make sure that the safety measure and the unit’s technical instal-

lation is approved by an expert before taking into operation for the rst time and after
changes before taking into operation another time.
IMPORTANT: Overhead rigging requires extensive experience, including
(but not limited to) calculating working load limits, installation material
being used, and periodic safety inspection of all installation material and the
loudspeaker. If you lack these qualications, do not attempt the installation
yourself, but instead use a professional structural rigger. Improper installation can result in bodily injury or property loss.
If the unit is to be placed lower from a high position such as a ceiling or high structures,
professional truss systems must be used. The loudspeaker must never be installed in
such a way that it can oscillate freely
CAUTION: Speakers may cause severe injuries when crashing down. If you
have doubts concerning the safety of a possible installation, do not install
the unit!

9. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specic to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modication of the product eected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or
manufacturing faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or by
exchanging individual parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed from
a product during the course of a warranty claim shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local
SOUNDSATION dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damag-
es in transit, please use the original packaging if available. Alternatively you can send
the product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto
Recanati - Italy . In order to send a product to service center you need an RMA number.
Shipping charges have to be covered by the owner of the product.

SOUNDSATION può fornire una vasta gamma di accessori di qualità che è possibile utilizzare con gli altoparlanti HYPER-PRO ACX, come mixer, cavi, microfoni, supporti ecc.
Tutti i prodotti nel nostro catalogo sono stati lungamente testati, quindi consigliamo di
utilizzare accessori e ricambi originali SOUNDSATION.
Chiedete al vostro rivenditore SOUNDSATION tutti gli accessori necessari per garantire
le migliori prestazioni del prodotto.
3. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
I diusori attivi Bi-Amplicati della serie HYPER-PRO ACX fanno parte dell’ampia
gamma di prodotti SOUNDSATION Pro Audio. Potenze di picco di 1600 W e 1800 W
rispettivamente per modelli da 12 “e 15”, trasduttori selezionati, potente DSP, materiale di rivestimento avanzato e vernice nera antigrao: tutti gli ingredienti combinati
sapientemente per orire il meglio anche ai professionisti più esigenti. I woofer da 12
“e 15” della serie HYPER-PRO ACX sono potenti e potenti; il driver da 1.35“ CELESTION®
rendono le alte frequenze denite e cristalline.
Il controllo del suono tramite il DSP è estremamente semplice e intuitivo. Premendo il
tasto PRESET si può scegliere fra 4 programmi audio (LIVE, DJ, SPEECH, MONITOR); il
carattere del suono cambierà e il LED corrispondente mostrerà la modalità selezionata.
Il pannello posteriore, organizzato in modo molto semplice e con ingressi controllabili
separatamente, consente la scelta dei dispositivi da collegare come un microfono, un
mixer, uno strumento, un lettore CD, uno smartphone ecc. Nelle tre sezioni di pannello
è possibile impostare rapidamente i livelli di ingresso con i controlli di guadagno, indipendentemente l’uno dall’altro.

I diusori attivi della serie HYPER-PRO ACX sono dotati di numerosi connettori, controlli e indicatori di cui è necessario comprendere l’uso.
1)^PRESA IEC con Porta-fusibile
Collegare il cavo di alimentazione a una presa AC correttamente congurata per il
modello specico. In caso di bruciatura del fusibile, per prevenire il rischio di incendio
e danneggiamento dell’unità, si prega di utilizzare solo il tipo di fusibile raccomandato
come descritto nel paragrafo “SPECIFICHE” a pagina 28. Prima di sostituire il fusibile,
assicurarsi che l’unità sia spenta e scollegata dalla presa AC.
NOTA: In caso di smarrimento del cavo di alimentazione AC, utilizzare sempre
una spina tripolare con un terminale di messa a terra. La corrispondenza del
lo è la seguente:

ATTENZIONE: Connettere sempre il terminale di terra! Prestare attenzione
alla propria sicurezza!
Prima di essere messa in funzione per la prima volta, l’installazione deve essere approvata da un esperto.
2)^SELETTORE DEL VOLTAGGIO DI INGRESSO
Questo selettore consente di selezionare la tensione di alimentazione in ingresso. È
protetto da una copertura in plexiglas per impedire una selezione di tensione accidentale e errata.
3)^Interruttore di alimentazione
Premere l’interruttore verso la posizione ON per accendere il diusore e verso la posizione OFF per spegnerlo.
4)^INTERRUTTORE HPF
Questo interruttore consente di selezionare la frequenza di taglio del ltro passa-alto.
Posizionando questo interruttore su [120 Hz] si taglieranno le componenti a bassa fre-
quenza al di sotto della soglia. Se l’unità viene utilizzata in modo indipendente, l’inter-
ruttore deve rimanere in posizione [OFF]. Se si intende utilizzare l’unità in combinazione
con un subwoofer, si consiglia di impostare questo interruttore su [120Hz].
5)^INDICATORE (LED) LIMIT
Questo LED indica (acceso in rosso) che il limitatore è acceso quando la tensione di
uscita dell’amplicatore ha superato il livello massimo o quando viene rilevato un con-
sumo di energia eccessivo. Alcuni lampeggi di questo LED potrebbero essere normali,
ma se rimane acceso per un lungo periodo, è necessario abbassare il livello di ingresso.
6)^INTERRUTTORE LED FRONTALE
Questo interruttore consente di accendere / spegnere il LED frontale di colore blu.
7)^SEZIONE PANNELLO PROGRAMMI DSP
In questa sezione del pannello è possibile modicare la risposta del diusore regolando
il timbro alle relative applicazioni. Premendo l’interruttore PRESET, è possibile scorrere
le seguenti modalità:
f LIVE: Il preset ideale per la maggior parte delle applicazioni “live”.
f DJ: Consigliato per installazioni in discoteche e club.
f SPEECH: Il diusore consente la migliore intelligibilità del parlato.
f MONITOR: Il diusore diventa particolarmente adatto per l’uso come “Monitor da
Palco”.
La modalità selezionata verrà indicata dal relativo LED
8)^SEZIONE PANNELLO MIC/LINE 1 INPUT
In questa sezione del pannello è presente un connettore (tipo XLR femmina) che accet-

ta segnali di livello MIC o LINE bilanciati. Utilizzando l’interruttore LINE / MIC è possibile adattare il guadagno al segnale del microfono o del livello di linea; La manopola
LEVEL consente di regolare il livello del segnale di ingresso.
Il connettore THRU (tipo XLR maschio) produce esattamente lo stesso segnale che arriva all’ingresso. Usalo per collegare in serie più diusori HYPER-PRO ACX.
NOTA: Il connettore di ingresso non fornisce alimentazione Phantom a + 48 V,
quindi è possibile utilizzare i microfoni a condensatore solo se auto-alimentati.
9)^SEZIONE PANNELLO LINE 2 INPUT
Questa sezione include 2 ingressi Jack 1/4 “(L / MONO, R) per collegare strumenti
musicali, mixer, ecc. Il segnale audio in ingresso può essere regolato usando la relativa
manopola.
10)^SEZIONE PANNELLO LINE 3 INPUT
Questa sezione di pannello include s:
• Una presa mini-jack da 1/8 “che può essere utilizzata per collegare telefoni cellulari, tablet, computer, etc.
• Due ingressi sbilanciati per jack pin RCA i quali possono essere utilizzati per colle-
gare qualsiasi dispositivo stereo esterno come lettore Mp3, lettore CD, mixer, etc.
• Una manopola per regolare il segnale audio in ingresso.
NOTA: Gli ingressi stereo Mini-Jack e RCA non possono essere utilizzati con-
temporaneamente
11)^SEZIONE PANNELLO LINK OUT
Da XLR “LINK OUT” i segnali audio vengono inviati (convogliati da ciascun INPUT) a un
diusore HYPER-PRO ACX collegato. L’uscita LINK OUT deve essere collegata all’INPUT
1 (XLR) del diusore HYPER-PRO ACX. I segnali audio che escono dal jack LINK OUT
sono a livello di linea e pertanto è necessario impostare l’interruttore MIC / LINE in
posizione LINE sul diusore HYPER-PRO ACX collegato.
L’interruttore “LINK OUT MODE” consente di selezionare se il segnale misto (su HYPERPRO ACX sorgente) verrà riprodotto in stereo o mono su HYPER-PRO ACX sorgente e
collegato. I segnali vengono mixati e emessi in base all’impostazione dell’interruttore.

5. CONNESSIONI AUDIO
Saranno necessari più cavi per le varie connessioni da e verso l diusore. Fare riferimento alle immagini sotto che mostrano il cablaggio interno di questi cavi. Assicurarsi di
utilizzare solo cavi di alta qualità.
Utilizzare cavi RCA normalmente in commercio per collegare sorgenti stereo sbilanciate
con connettori di uscita RCA a ingressi stereo RCA Linea dell’unità HYPER-PRO ACX.
Naturalmente, si possono collegare anche apparecchiature bilanciate a ingressi sbilanciati. Utilizzare jack mono e stereo, assicurandosi che anello e collare siano collegati
insieme (oppure i poli 1 e 3 nel caso di connettori XLR)

6. INSTALLAZIONE FISSA
L’installazione dei diusori HYPER-PRO ACX deve essere organizzata e costruita in
modo da poter reggere 10 volte il peso per 1 ora senza alcuna possibilità di cedimento.
L’installazione deve essere sempre assicurata con un dispositivo di sicurezza secondario
(ad esempio prese o ganci adeguata). Questo accessorio di sicurezza secondario deve
essere costruito in modo che nessuna parte dell’installazione possa cadere se l’attacco
principale non funziona
Quando si eettuano manovre o interventi di manutenzione sull’unità, è vietato sostare
nell’area sotto il luogo di installazione, su ponti, in luoghi di lavoro elevati e in altre
aree a rischio. L’operatore deve assicurarsi che le misure di sicurezza e l’installazione
tecnica siano approvate da un esperto prima di mettere in funzione l’unità per la prima
volta e ogni volta che vengono eettuate modiche.

IMPORTANTE: Le installazioni in punti alti richiedono una vasta esperienza,
incluso (ma non limitato a) il calcolo dei limiti di carico di lavoro, del materiale di installazione utilizzato e l’ispezione periodica di sicurezza di tutto il
materiale di installazione e dell’unità. Se mancano queste qualiche, non bisogna MAI tentare l’installazione da soli, avvalendosi invece di un installatore
professionale. Un’installazione errata può provocare gravi lesioni personali.
Se l’unità deve essere messa più in basso da una posizione alta come un sotto o
strutture alte, devono essere utilizzati sistemi di tralicci professionali. Il diusore non
deve mai essere installato in modo che possa oscillare liberamente.
ATTENZIONE: I diusori possono causare gravi lesioni nel caso di cedimento
e caduta. In caso di dubbi sulla sicurezza di una possibile installazione, non
installare l’unità!

Tutti i prodotti SOUNDSATION dispongono di una garanzia di due anni. Questa garanzia di due
anni è valida dalla data di acquisto, come indicato dal documento di acquisto.
I seguenti casi / componenti non sono coperti dalla garanzia di cui sopra:

• Uso improprio
• Guasto dovuto all’usura
• Ogni modica del prodotto eettuata dall’utente o da terzi
SOUNDSATION deve soddisfare gli obblighi di garanzia dovuti a eventuali materiali non conformi
o difetti di fabbricazione, rimediando gratuitamente e a discrezione di SOUNDSATION sia mediante riparazione o sostituendo singole parti o l’intero apparecchio. Eventuali parti difettose rimosse
da un prodotto durante il corso di una richiesta di garanzia diventano di proprietà di SOUNDSATION.
Durante il periodo di garanzia, i prodotti difettosi possono essere restituiti al rivenditore SOUND-
SATION locale con prova di acquisto originale. Per evitare danni durante il trasporto, si prega di
