Water / Moisture

This product is intended to indoor use only. To prevent risk of re or shock, do not
expose it to rain or moisture. Make sure there are no ammable, explosive or corrosive

materials surrounded in 10 meters while operating.

Heat

The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves
or other appliances that produce heat. It may carry high heat, do not aim at objective

exceeding 2 minutes.

Ventilation

The unit must be installed in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 5m away from
adjacent surfaces. Be sure that no ventilation slots are blocked.

Object and Liquid Entry

Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.

Power Cord and Plug

Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, conve­nience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles;
a grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong

is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an

electrician for replacement.

Power Supply

Always make sure that you are connecting to the proper voltage and the line voltage
not higher than stated on the decal or rear panel of the unit. Unplug this apparatus
during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

Fuse

To prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only of the recommended

fuse type as described in the manual. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit
turned off and disconnected from the AC outlet.

Electrical Connection

Always disconnect from the power source before servicing or replacing fuse/lamp and
be sure to replace with same fuse/lamp size and type. Cut off power before moving,
repairing and cleaning the unit. Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product
warranty.
To avoid electric shock, all units must be connected to circuits with a suitable ground.
Do not power on and power off the apparatus in a short time.

Cleaning

Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.

Servicing

In case of failure or mis-function occurred, stop using the unit immediately. Never try to
repair the unit by yourself. Repairs carried out by unskilled people can lead to damage
or malfunction. Please contact the nearest authorized technical assistance center. Buy
the same spare parts/components from manufacturer directly.
Any damage that cased by violating this manual is out of insurance, our company will
not take the responsibility.

Warning

In case of lighting products, avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is
on. In case of audio products, please remember the high sound pressure do not only
temporarily damage your sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be
careful to select a suitable volume.

1. UNPACKING

Thank you for purchasing GO-SOUND Series active loudspeakers. Each unit has been
well tested and shipped in perfect operating conditions. Carefully unpack the carton
and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep packing
material for inspection. Again, please save its carton and all packing materials. If the
unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that the unit is returned in the

original manufacturer’s packing. Please do not take any action without rst contacting

us.

2. Accessories

SOUNDSATION can supply a wide range of quality accessories that you can use
with GO-SOUND speakers, like Cables, Microphones, stands, etc. All products in our
catalogue has been long tested with this device so we recommend to use Genuine
SOUNDSATION Accessories and Spare Parts.
Ask your SOUNDSATION dealer for any accessories you could need to ensure best
performance of the product.

3. Getting started

GO-SOUND Series speakers are part of a wider range of SOUNDSATION Pro Audio
product line. These active speakers are compact, light weight and very easy to use.

They are ideal for any live music or xed installation purpose. Make sure there is

enough space around the unit for proper ventilation and prevent overheating; do not
place the unit on top of hot devices such as radiators or power ampliers. The speak­er is connected to mains through the supplied cable. The product meets the required
safety standards. Blown fuses must be replaced with fuses of the same type and

specication.

Make sure that all units must be properly grounded. For your safety, you

should never remove any ground connector from electrical devices or pow-

er cables, or make them inoperative.

Our products are subject to a process of continual further development. Therefore

modications to the technical features remain subject to change without further notice.

3.1. Soundsation GO-SOUND Series

GO-SOUND series is the result of years of experience gathered by SOUNDSATION in
Portable Sound systems, a segment where quality, versatility and value for money are
absolutely essential.

It consists of 6 two-way polypropylene active speakers with woofers from 8” to 15”. The
12” and 15” models are even available in MULTIMEDIA version (GO-SOUND 12AM
and 15AM), which feature a Bluetooth™, USB and SD-card multi player. All models
embed high-quality Class-AB ampliers from 200W to 880W peak powers, and select­ed transducers to match any kind of portable PA application.

They have sturdy, lightweight and smart polypropylene enclosures with metal grille and
acoustic foam to protect the woofer and give a pleasant look. Furthermore, they feature
a different number of handles (from 2 on sides for the 8” model to 3 for the 15” model)

and a standard D36mm pole mount hole, in order to allow xed installation or portable

applications.

4. SETUP

4.1. Connections

Connect the device to the mains with the power-plug. The wire correspondence is as

The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to the safety!

Before taking into operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an

expert.

Audio Connections

You will need several cables for the various connections to and from the speaker. See
the pictures below that show the internal wiring of these cables. Be sure to use only
high quality cables.

Use commercial RCA cables to wire stereo unbalanced sources with RCA output con­nectors to stereo RCA Line inputs of GO-SOUND units.
You can, of course, also connect unbalanced equipment to balanced inputs. Use either
mono and stereo jack, making sure ring and collar are connected together (or pins 1 &
3 in the case of XLR connectors).

5. REAR PANEL DESCRIPTION

GO-SOUND Series active loudspeakers have several connectors, controls, and indica­tors the use of which you should understand.

5.1. GO-SOUND 8A, 10A

own battery power.

WARNING: Pressing MIC/LINE switch on line level signals may cause dam-

5) Line LEVEL

This controls the overall signal level at the stereo mini jack plug and RCA inputs.

6) POWER on indicator

When the POWER switch is turned on, and the line-cord is connected to an active AC
Mains supply, this indicator is lit.

7) CLIP indicator

This LED lights up only when the input signal is too high and limiter operates in order to

prevent unwanted damage to amplier or transducers.

NOTE: To better adjust levels and avoid limiter to intervene and cut signals,

once connected the desired sound source slowly turn up the MIC/LINE or
LINE LEVEL controls until the desired volume is reached (and the CLIP light
comes on occasionally).

8) EQ

This 2-band EQ optimizes the frequency response in order to better adapt the speaker
to the environment in which it is used.

9) MIX Out

This is a male XLR-type connector that produces a EQed mix of both Mic/Line Inputs.
Use it to daisy-chain several active monitors together.

10) Line In Input section

There is a pair of RCA plugs and a 1/8” mini jack plug that accept a unbalanced
line-level signals.

5.2. GO-SOUND 12A, 12AM, 15A, 15AM

1) IEC Socket with Fuse holder

3) MIC/LINE In INPUT Section

There is a female XLR-type connector and a 1/4” Jack plug that accept a balanced or
unbalanced mic- or line-level signal. The switch Line/Mic has to be pressed in case of
microphone level signals. There is no phantom power for a microphone, so you should

6) Digital Media player (only on 12AM - 15AM models)

This panel controls all functions related to the media player and hosts the Bluetooth™
receiver as well as USB and SD-Card slots. For further information about how to use it,
see “Digital Media Player Control Panel”.

7) Media player LEVEL

This controls the overall signal level at Media player stage.

8) LEVEL (Master)

This controls the overall signal level of all inputs, including the AUX Input.

9) LINE In INPUT Section

There is a female XLR-type connector, a 1/8” mini jack and stereo RCA that accept
balanced (only XLR) or unbalanced line-level signal.

WARNING: Turn the LEVEL (control n. 5) down (counterclockwise) before

connecting any source, especially if you’re using the LINE OUT connection.

If not, you could be in for a startling surprise and this may cause a damage
to the unit and to your hearing.

10) POWER

When the POWER switch is turned on, and the line-cord is connected to an active AC
Mains supply, this indicator is lit.

11) High/LOW

This 2-band EQ optimizes the frequency response in order to better adapt the speaker
to the environment in which it is used.

12) Limit

This LED lights up only when the input signal is too high and limiter operates in order to

prevent unwanted damage to amplier or transducers.

NOTE: To better adjust levels and avoid limiter to intervene and cut signals,

once connected the desired sound source slowly turn up LEVEL 4, 5 or 7
and MASTER LEVEL control (8) until the desired volume is reached (and
the LIMIT light comes on occasionally). Always protect your hears if you are
close when it is playing at high levels.

13) MIX Out

This is a male XLR-type connector that produces a EQed mix of Mic/Line Inputs as well
as multimedia player sources. Please notice that this output is not affected by Master
Level control. Use it to daisy-chain several active monitors together.

6. DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER (only 12AM & 15AM)

GO-SOUND 12AM and 15AM feature a multimedia player that allows to use these
speakers even without audio sources or cables: just connect your smartphone or tablet

via Bluetooth™ and that’s it. There is also a slot for SD-Cards and an A-Type USB plug

to connect USB drives or SD-Cards.
The reader accepts audio streaming in any format via Bluetooth™. In the case of SD-

Cards and USB devices, it plays audio les in MP3 (up to 320kbps) and WAV (44.1kHz

- 16bit).

• NOR: Normal playback. It plays tracks in ascending order (numeric or alpha-
betic)

• RONE: Loop playback of the current song

• FOLD: Repeated playback of all songs in the current folder in ascending

order;

• RAN: Random playback of any song in any folder

• RALL: Loop playback of all songs in all folders in ascending order

9. Button (Rewind): Press to go back one track; holding down for one second
allows you to rewind to the beginning of current track

10. Button (Fast Forward): Press to move to next track; holding down for one
second lets you skip to the end of current track

6.2. Using the player with USB drives and SD-Cards

When you insert a USB drive into the outlet, the player reads the content automatically

and plays the rst track in ascending order in “NOR” mode. The display shows on the
upper-left corner the letter “U”, indicating that you are playing an audio le from the

connected USB device. In the case of SD-Card, the player displays the letter S.

Next to the U or S, the display shows the status of the player, that is play , stop
or pause . Continuing to right, it shows the current playback mode (in this case NOR

- Normal). Then there is the software version (in this case V15) and the time code of

current playing track. At the second line there are - from left to right - the song number
in current folder and its title.

NOTE: In the case of use of a USB drive and an SD-Card simultaneously, the

reader will play the tracks on both devices, organizing them according to
the executing mode chosen (normal, cyclical, random, etc.).

6.3. Using Bluetooth™

To play music from your Bluetooth™ device you must rst pair it.

4.3.1. Pairing

Press MODE key until the “BLUE” does not appear in the top-left side of the display:

At this point turn on the Bluetooth™ mode on your smartphone or tablet. A device
called “Bluetooth” will be shown among the various available devices. Select it and

start the pairing process. Once nished, your playlist will be directly played on your Go-

Sound 12AM or 15AM.

NOTE: GO-SOUND player control panel also acts on your Bluetooth™

device; so that, for example, by pressing the button , you play / pause
the song; pressing , you skip to the next track, and so on. The buttons

(Stop) and (Repeat), however, are deliberately disabled and can be

managed only by the Bluetooth™ device.

9. WARRANTY AND SERVICE

All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warran-

ty is specic to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.

The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:

• Any accessories supplied with the product

• Improper use

• Fault due to wear and tear

• Any modication of the product effected by the user or a third party

SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or

manufacturing faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or

by exchanging individual parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed
from a product during the course of a warranty claim shall become the property of
SOUNDSATION.

While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local SOUND­SATION dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages in
transit, please use the original packaging if available. Alternatively you can send the

product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto

Acqua e Umidita’

Ventilazione

Non ostruite le prese d’aria per la ventilazione: ciò potrebbe provocare incendi. Instal­late sempre l’unità secondo le istruzioni del produttore.

Introduzione di oggetti e liquidi

Non introdurre oggetti o versare liquidi all’interno dell’apparato per ragioni di sicurezza.

Cavo di alimentazione e spina

Evitate che il cavo di alimentazione venga calpestato o schiacciato, in particolare in

prossimità delle spine, delle prese e del punto in cui fuoriesce dall’apparecchio. Non
vanicate la nalità di sicurezza della spina con messa a terra. Una spina normale o

“polarizzata” ha due soli terminali; una spina con messa a terra ha un terzo polo di
terra. Questo ulteriore terminale serve per la vostra sicurezza. Se la spina fornita non

si inserisce nella presa, consultate un elettricista per l’eventuale sostituzione.

Alimentazione

L’apparecchio deve essere collegato alla sorgente di alimentazione elettrica del tipo
indicato sull’apparecchio o descritto nel manuale. In caso contrario si potrebbero
provocare danni al prodotto ed eventualmente all’utente. Staccate la spina in caso di

temporali o quando non viene utilizzato per lunghi periodi di tempo.

Fusibile

Per evitare il rischio di incendi e di danni all’unità, utilizzate solo il tipo di fusibile

13. INTRODUZIONE

I diffusori della serie GO-SOUND fanno parte di una più ampia gamma di prodotti Pro
Audio SOUNDSATION. Questi speaker attivi sono compatti, leggeri e molto facili da

usare. Sono ideali per qualsiasi tipo di musica dal vivo o installazione ssa. Assicurarsi
che vi sia spazio sufciente intorno all’unità per una corretta ventilazione e prevenirne
il surriscaldamento; non collocare l’unità sopra dispositivi caldi come termosifoni o am­plicatori di potenza. L’altoparlante è collegato alla rete tramite il cavo in dotazione. Il

prodotto è conforme alle norme di sicurezza richieste. Eventuali fusibili bruciati devono

essere sostituiti solo con fusibili dello stesso tipo e con le stesse speciche.

Assicurarsi che tutte le unità siano adeguatamente messe a terra. Per la

vostra sicurezza, non rimuovete o rendete in-operativo il collegamento a
terra dei dispositivi elettrici o dei cavi di alimentazione.

I nostri prodotti sono soggetti a un processo di continuo miglioramento. Pertanto sono

soggetti a modiche delle caratteristiche tecniche senza preavviso.

13.1. Soundsation Go-Sound

La serie GO-SOUND è il risultato di anni di esperienza maturata da SOUNDSATION
nei sistemi audio portatili, un segmento in cui qualità, versatilità e rapporto qualità-prez­zo sono assolutamente essenziali.

Si compone di 6 modelli di diffusori attivi a 2-vie con woofer da 8 “a 15”. I modelli da 12
“e 15” sono disponibili anche in versione multimediale (GO-SOUND 12AM e 15AM) e
dispongono di Bluetooth™, lettore di dispositivi USB e SD-card. Tutti i modelli montano
amplicatori di alta qualità in classe AB da 200W a 880W di potenza di picco, e trasdut­tori selezionati per adattarsi a qualsiasi tipo di applicazione PA.

Sono dotati, inoltre, di cabinet in polipropilene robusti e leggeri, con griglia metallica e
tessuto isolante per proteggere il woofer e conferire un bel look. Inoltre, presentano un
numero variabile da modello a modello di maniglie (da 2 sui lati per il modello da 8” a 3
per quello da 15”) e un foro standard da Ø36mm per palo.

Connessione Elettrica

Usate il cavo di alimentazione in dotazione per collegare il diffusore ad una presa

elettrica. Controllate che l’alimentazione sia di 220/240V - 50Hz prima di accendere. La

La terra deve sempre essere collegata! Prestate sempre attenzione alla

Connessioni Audio

Per completare le connessioni audio del vostro diffusore GO-SOUND avete bisogno
di cavi di collegamento da e verso il sistema. Fate riferimento ai disegni seguenti che
mostrano il collegamento interno dei conduttori. Assicuratevi di usare solo cavi audio di
alta qualità (visitate il sito www.soundsationmusic.com per ulteriori dettagli).

In caso di uso sbilanciato i Piedini 1 e 3 vanno ponticellati

Usate cavi RCA standard per collegare apparecchiature stereo sbilanciate dotate di
connessioni Pin-RCA, quali lettori CD o altri dispositivi per DJ. Usate cavi con mini-jack
stereo per il collegamento di lettori MP3, smartphone, tablet e computer.

Potete usare sia connessioni di ingresso bilanciate che sbilanciate. In caso di appar­ecchiature con ingressi ed uscite sbilanciate, collegate i piedini 1 e 3 come mostrato di
seguito.

Controlla il livello degli ingressi mini-jack e RCA.

6) Indicatore POWER

Questo LED verde si illumina quando il diffusore è collegato ad una presa elettrica ed
è acceso.

7) Indicatore CLIP

Questo LED lampeggia quando i segnali di ingresso sono troppo alti ed interviene il

limitatore al ne di evitare danni all’amplicatore o ai trasduttori.

NOTA: Per evitare che il limitatore intervenga e tagli parte dei segnali, una

volta collegate le sorgenti audio, alzate gradualmente le manopole VOL 1 e

VOL 2 no a quando il LED CLIP si illumina solo occasionalmente.

8) EQ

Questi EQ a 2-bande ottimizza la risposta in frequenza generale, in modo da adattare il

diffusore all’ambiente in cui esso è usato.

9) MIX Out

Da questo connettore XLR è possibile prelevare il mix (ltrato dall’EQ a 2 bande) di
entrambi gli ingressi Mic/Line. Usate quest’uscita per collegare in cascata altri diffusori.

10) Connessioni di Ingresso Line IN

È presente una coppia di prese RCA e un connettore mini-jack stereo che accettano
segnali di linea sbilanciati.

15.2. GO-SOUND 12A, 12AM, 15A, 15AM

1) Connettore IEC con porta-fusibile

Inserite il cavo di alimentazione in dotazione nel connettore IEC facendo attenzione a

che la tensione di alimentazione corrisponda a quella indicata nelle speciche tecniche

a pagina 38. In caso di bruciatura del fusibile, usate solo un nuovo fusibile del tipo

indicato nelle speciche. Prima di sostituirlo, assicuratevi che l’apparecchio sia spento

e il cavo sia scollegato.

Nota: In caso di smarrimento del cavo di alimentazione, usate sempre una

cavo con piedino di messa a terra.

2) Interruttore POWER

Accende e spegne l’apparecchio. Assicuratevi che tutti i volumi siano bassi prima di

accendere.

bilanciati/sbilanciati microfonici o di linea. Il tasto Line/Mic va premuto in caso di segnali
microfonici. Tenete conto del fatto che questi connettori non forniscono alimentazione

Questo pannello controlla il lettore multimediale e ospita il ricevitore Bluetooth™ così
come le connessioni USB e SD-Card. Per ulteriori informazioni su come usarlo, consul­tate il paragrafo “16. DIGITAL MEDA PLAYER (solo 12AM e 15AM)” a pagina 33.

7) Media Player LEVEL

Regola il volume relativo al lettore multimediale.

8) LEVEL (Master)

Controlla il volume generale di tutti gli ingressi, incluso l’ingresso AUX.

9) SEZIONE LINE In

È composta da un connettore XLR, una coppia di prese RCA e un connettore mini-jack
stereo che accettano segnali di linea bilanciati (solo XLR) o sbilanciati.

ATTENZIONE: Abbassate al minimo il controllo di volume LINE LEVEL (5)

prima di collegare qualsiasi sorgente, specialmente se state usando l’uscita

LINE OUT. Potreste causare un rumore improvviso e danneggiare il diffu­sore oltre che il vostro udito.

10) Indicatore POWER

Questo LED verde si illumina quando il diffusore è collegato ad una presa elettrica ed
è acceso.

11) High/LOW

Questi EQ a 2-bande ottimizza la risposta in frequenza generale, in modo da adattare il

diffusore all’ambiente in cui esso è usato.

12) Indicatore CLIP

Questo LED lampeggia quando i segnali di ingresso sono troppo alti ed interviene il

limitatore al ne di evitare danni all’amplicatore o ai trasduttori.

NOTA: Per evitare che il limitatore intervenga e tagli parte dei segnali, una

volta collegate le sorgenti audio, alzate gradualmente i volumi (4), (5), (7) e
MASTER LEVEL (8) no a quando il LED CLIP si illumina solo occasional­mente.

13) MIX Out

Da questo connettore XLR è possibile prelevare il mix (ltrato dall’EQ a 2 bande) di

entrambi gli ingressi Mic/Line e del lettore multimediale. Tenete in considerazione che

16. DIGITAL MEDA PLAYER (solo 12AM e 15AM)

GO-SOUND 12AM e 15AM sono dotati di un lettore multimediale che permette di usare
questi diffusori anche senza alcuna sorgente audio tradizionale o cavi di collegamento:
vi basta collegare il vostro smartphone o tablet via Bluetooth™ e il gioco è fatto! Inoltre

sono è possibile leggere le audio direttamente da SD-Cards o driver USB collegandoli

alle rispettive porte.

Il lettore accetta le di qualsiasi tipo in streaming Bluetooth™. In caso di SD-Cards e
USB, riproduce le audio MP3 (no a 320kbps) e WAV (44.1kHz - 16bit).

• NOR: Riproduzione Normale. esegue le traccie in ordine ascendente (nu-
merico o alfabetico)

• RONE: Riproduzione ciclica (Loop) del brano selezionato

• FOLD: Riproduzione ripetuta di tutti i brani contenuti nella cartella corrente in

modo ascendente

• RAN: Riproduzione casuale di tutti i brani in tutte le cartelle

• RALL: Riproduzione ciclica (Loop) casuale di tutti i brani in tutte le cartelle

9. Tasto (Riavvolgimento): Premere per passare al brano precedente. Tenden-

dolo premuto per un secondo circa, si ritorna all’inizio della traccia corrente.

10. Tasto (Avanzamento Veloce): Premere per passare al brano successivo.

Tendendolo premuto per un secondo circa, si passa rapidamente alla ne della

traccia corrente.

16.2. Uso del lettore con dispositivi USB e SD-Card

Quando si inserisce una chiavetta USB nella presa, la GO-SOUND legge automati­camente il contenuto e riproduce la prima traccia in ordine ascendente in modo “NOR”

(normale). Il display mostra nell’angolo superiore a sinistra la lettera “U”, indicando che

si sta eseguendo un brano dal dispositivo USB collegato. Nel caso di una card SD, il
lettore mostra la lettera “S”.

Accanto alla U o S, il display visualizza lo stato del lettore, cioè Play , Stop or
Pause . Continuando verso destra, appare la modalità di esecuzione corrente (in

questo caso NOR - Normal). Quindi la versione software (in questo caso V15) e il time
code detta traccia in riproduzione. Nel secondo rigo - da sinistra a destra - appare il

numero di traccia all’interno della cartella e il titolo.

NOTA: In caso di utilizzo simultaneo di un dispositivo USB e di una SD-Card,

il lettore eseguirà le traccie di entrambi i dispositivi, organizzandole in base
alla modalità riproduttiva scelta (Normale, Ciclica, Casuale, ecc.)

16.3. Uso del Bluetooth™

Per riprodurre musica dal vostro dispositivo Bluetooth™, è necessario prima effettuare
il “pairing”, ovvero far riconoscere reciprocamente i due dispositivi.

Premete il tasto MODE no a quando appare la scritta “BLUE” in alto a sinistra del
display:

A questo punto attivare la modalità Bluetooth™ sul vostro smartphone o tablet. Nell’el­enco dei dispositivi disponibili ne apparirà uno chiamato semplicemente “Bluetooth”.
Selezionatelo e avviate la procedura. Una volta terminata, la vostra playlist verrà ripro­dotta direttamente sulla GO-SOUND 12AM o 15AM.

NOTA: Il pannello di controllo della GO-SOUND agisce anche sul dispositi-

vo Bluetooth™; pertanto, per esempio, premendo il tasto , eseguirete o
metterete in pausa direttamente il brano; premendo , passerete al brano

successivo, e così via. I tasti (Stop) e (Ripetizione), invece, sono
volontariamente disabilitati e possono essere gestiti solo dal dispositivo
Bluetooth™.
