1) Water / Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used near
water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
2) Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves or
other appliances that produce heat. Don not use it when maximum ambient temperature is higher than 40°C.
3) Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
4) Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus for
safety.
5) Power Cord and Plug
Protect power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Do not defeat the safety
purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two poles; a
grounding-type plug has two poles and a third grounding terminal. The third prong is
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outlet, refer to an
electrician for replacement.
6) Power Supply
The apparatus should be connected to the power supply only of the type as marked on
the apparatus or described in the manual. Failure to do could result in damage to the
product and possibly the user. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when
unused for long periods of time.
7) FUSE AND Electrical Connection
Always disconnect from the power source before servicing or replacing fuse and be
sure to replace with same fuse size and type. Cut off power before moving, repairing
and cleaning the unit. Improper electrical wiring may invalidate the product warranty.
To avoid electric shock, all xtures must be connected to circuits with a suitable ground.
Do not power on and power off the xture in a short time.
8) DMX connection
When use DMX controller, please make sure that there is no interference sources (e.g.
intercom, high frequency radio waves and radiation source).
9) Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.

10) Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual. Refer
all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attachments or
parts recommended by the manufacturer.

Thank you for purchasing our 4LEDKIT-PRO. Enjoy your new equipment and make sure
to read this manual carefully before operation.
This user manual is made to provide both an overview of controls, as well as information on how to use them.
1.1. Unpacking
Your 4LEDKIT-PRO was carefully packed in two cartons to ensure safe transport. Despite
this, we recommend you to carefully examine the package and its contents for any
signs of physical damage, which can occur during transport. Each unit has the following
parts:

ATTENTION: Packaging cartons are not a toys! Keep out of reach of chil-
dren!!! Keep in a safe place the original packaging material for future use.
If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep the
packing material for inspection. Again, please save the carton and all packing materials.
If the xture must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that it is returned in
the original manufacturer box and packing. Please do not take any action without rst
contacting us.

1.2. Accessories

your 4LEDKIT-PRO, like Cables, Splitters, DMX controllers, and a wide range of other
xtures.
All products in our catalogue has been long tested with this device, so we recommend

2. OVERVIEW
When giving colors to your gigs passes through simplicity of use, portability and
the benets of modern LED technology, SOUNDSATION 4LEDKIT-PRO becomes the
reference to all musicians, DJs and entertainment operators. 4LEDKIT-PRO have been
designed to be all-in-one light systems with all accessories in a single package. It
includes tripod support with bag, pedal board for quick control of main functions, “T”
bar with carrying bag, integrated DMX-512 interface to allow remote control via DMX
controllers. Light emission technologies range from RGB combination of single-color
LEDs, to RGB 3in1, RGB 3in1 COB, and RGBW 4in1. Emission angles range from 16° and
26° beam effect to 90° wash effect for COB model.

4. INSTALLATION
SOUNDSATION 4LEDKIT-PRO can be installed on the oor, on the wall, ceiling or on a
truss.
WARNINGS:
A. It’s required the use of a safety wire (LW3-76A or LW4-76A sold separately) in
if the product is hanging on a wall, ceiling or on a truss.
B. Never leave the product swinging freely.
C. If the product is hanging on a wall, a ceiling or a truss, make sure that the
installation gear and / or the truss can hold a minimum load of 10 times the
weight of the device.

5. MAINS CONNECTIONS
Connect the device to the mains with the supplied power cord. When connecting the
power supply, please check that the supply voltage and frequency are the same as indicated for the device. The correspondence of the wires is as follows:

The earth must to be connected! Pay attention to the safety! Before taking
into operation for the rst time, the installation has to be approved by an
expert.
6. DMX CONNECTION
DMX xtures are designed to receive data through a serial Daisy Chain. A Daisy Chain
connection is where the DATA OUT of one xture connects to the DATA IN of the next
xture. The order in which the xtures are connected is not important and has no effect
on how a controller communicates to each xture. Use an order that provides for the
easiest and most direct cabling.

Connect xtures using shielded 2-conductor twisted pair cable with 3-pin XLR male to
female connectors. The shield connection is pin 1, while pin 2 is Data Negative (S-), and
pin 3 is Data positive (S+).
CAUTION: Wires must not come into contact with each other; otherwise the
xtures will not work at all, or will not work properly.
6.1. DMX Terminator
DMX is a resilient communication protocol, however errors still occasionally occur.
In order to prevent electrical noise from disturbing and corrupting the DMX control

signals, a good habit is to connect DMX output of last xture in the chain to a DMX
terminator, especially over long signal cable runs.
The DMX terminator is simply an XLR connector with a 120Ω (ohm), 1/4 Watt resistor
connected across Signal (-) and Signal (+), respectively, pins 2 and 3, which is then
plugged into the output socket on last projector in the chain. The connections are
illustrated below.

Complimentary signal cable can transmits signals to 20 unit xtures at most.
Signal amplier is a must to connect more xtures.

1) IEC Socket with Fuse holder
Plug the power-cord into an AC socket properly congured for your particular model.
In case of fuse burn, to prevent the risk of re and damaging the unit, please use only a
spare of the recommended fuse type as described in the “10. SPECIFICATIONS” on page
19. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the unit turned off and disconnected from
the AC outlet.
2) DIN 8 pin CONNECTORS
There are four 8-pin DIN connectors to insert the related cables from the projectors.

that will be used to control the device as described in the “7.2. Pedal Board Control

This panel section has a 4x7 Segments display and 4 buttons to control all the device
functions. (For further details see “7.1. Control Panel” on page 11).

In the case of installation on the supplied tripod stand, this support frame is provided
wit a D36mm hole adapter, with two screw knobs for xing the device.

Using this button, it is possible to scroll-down the device’s functions and decrease the
function’s value.
4) ENTER Button
This button allows to save a new function’s value.
5) 4 x 7 SEGMENTS display
It shows the current function’s name or function’s value.
7.2. Pedal Board Control Panel
SOUNDSATION 4LEDKIT-PRO is equipped with a pedal board with 4 foot switches to
easily control some main functions.

Activate one of the 3 available AUTO Modes. The display on the Control Panel will

3) COLOR FOOTSWITCH

Turn OFF all the 4LEDKIT-PRO projectors.

8.1. FUNCTIONS DESCRIPTION
All the 4LEDKIT-PRO functions are selectable by using the UP BUTTON and DOWN
BUTTON on the Control Panel as described in “7.1. Control Panel” on page 11.
Below is an explanation of the device’s functions.
1) DMX CHANNEL SELECTION
After the selection of function, by pressing ENTER button, it is possible to
select the desired DMX Channel in order to manage the device using a DMX controller.
Once the channel is selected, press the ENTER button to conrm the value.
The range of this parameter is A001 -> A512
2) AUTO MODE SELECTION
function allows to select one of the 3 available (AUT1 -> AUT3) AUTO
Modes . After the selection, by pressing the ENTER button, a sub-menu will be shown
where you can change the speed of the selected AUTO mode.
The range of this parameter is SP-1 -> SP-9. Press the ENTER button to conrm.
3) SOUND MODE SELECTION
function allows to select one of the 5 available (SOU1 -> SOU5) SOUND
Modes. After the SOUND Mode selection, by pressing the ENTER button, a sub-menu
will be shown where it is possible to regulate the Built In Microphone sensibility.
The range of this parameter is SC-1 -> SC-9. Press the ENTER button to conrm the
value.
4) CHASE MODE SELECTION
function allows to select one of the 5 available (C 1 -> C 5) CHASE Modes
. After the selection, by pressing the ENTER button, a sub-menu will be shown where
you can change the speed of the selected CHASE Mode.
The range of this parameter is SP-1 -> SP-9. Press the ENTER button to conrm the
value.
5) DMX CHANNELS NUMBER CONFIGURATION
4LEDKIT-PRO can be congured with two channel modes in order to be managed by a
DMX controller. The function that allows the selection of the mode is .
The two possible modes are 6Ch and 18Ch. Press the ENTER button to conrm the
selected mode.

6) COLOR SELECTION
function allows to activate one of the 9 available Pre-Set COLORS.
On the display will be shown the current color selected (CoL1 -> CoL9).
In this function in addition, it is possible to enter the sub-menu where there
are the following parameters:
f r 000....255 - Intensity of RED on basic white color.
f G 000....255 - Intensity of GREEN on basic white color.
f b 000....255 - Intensity of BLUE on basic white color.
f c 000....255 - Global intensity for color mixing.
7) SLAVE MODE
Using the function, it is possible to connect several units together and operate them in synchronized mode:
f Use DMX cables to connect two or more units together from the DMX OUT connec-
tor to the DMX IN connector.
f The rst unit is MASTER and all the connected units must be set as SLAVE by press-
ing the ENTER button (SLAU -> SLA)
f Operate the Master unit in Automatic mode (AUTo), Macro Color (CoLo),Musical
(SOUn) or Chase (CHAS) to operate the entire system. The entire chain of Slave units
will act as the Master unit.
8) SOFTWARE VERSION
By pressing the ENTER button after selecting the function, the display will
show the current software version.
9. CHANNEL CHARTS
As already explained, 4LEDKIT-PRO can be managed by a DMX controller using one of
the 2 possible channel modes:

11. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All SOUNDSATION products feature a limited two-year warranty. This two-year warranty is specic
to the date of purchase as shown on your purchase receipt.
The following cases/components are not covered from the above warranty:
• Any accessories supplied with the product
• Improper use
• Fault due to wear and tear
• Any modication of the product effected by the user or a third party
SOUNDSATION shall satisfy the warranty obligations by remedying any material or manufacturing
faults free of charge at SOUNDSATION’s discretion either by repair or by exchanging individual
parts or the entire appliance. Any defective parts removed from a product during the course of a
warranty claim shall become the property of SOUNDSATION.
While under warranty period, defective products may be returned to your local SOUNDSATION
dealer together with original proof of purchase. To avoid any damages in transit, please use the
original packaging if available. Alternatively you can send the product to SOUNDSATION SERVICE
CENTER – Via Enzo Ferrari , 10 – 62017 Porto Recanati - Italy . In order to send a product to service
center you need an RMA number. Shipping charges have to be covered by the owner of the product.

1)^ACQUA / UMIDITA
L’apparecchio deve essere protetto dall’umidità e dalla pioggia, non può essere usato
in prossimità di acqua; ad esempio nei pressi di una vasca da bagno, di un lavandino, di
una piscina, etc.
2)^Calore
L’apparecchio deve essere posto lontano da fonti di calore come radiatori, stufe o altri
apparecchi che producono calore.
3)^VENTILAZIONE
Non ostruite le prese d’aria per la ventilazione: ciò potrebbe provocare incendi. Installate sempre l’unità secondo le istruzioni del produttore.
4)^Introduzione di oggetti e liquidi
Non introdurre oggetti o versare liquidi all’interno dell’apparato per ragioni di sicurezza
5)^Cavo di alimentazione e spina
Evitate che il cavo di alimentazione venga calpestato o schiacciato, in particolare in
prossimità delle spine, delle prese e del punto in cui fuoriesce dall’apparecchio. Non
vanicate la nalità di sicurezza della spina con messa a terra. Una spina normale o
“polarizzata” ha due soli terminali; una spina con messa a terra ha un terzo polo di
terra. Questo ulteriore terminale serve per la vostra sicurezza. Se la spina fornita non si
inserisce nella presa, consultate un elettricista per l’eventuale sostituzione.
6)^ALIMENTAZIONE
L’apparecchio deve essere collegato all’alimentazione solo del tipo indicato sull’ap-
parecchio o descritto nel manuale. In caso contrario, potrebbero vericarsi danni al
prodotto e probabilmente all’utente. Scollegare l’apparecchio durante i temporali o
quando non viene utilizzato per lunghi periodi di tempo.
7)^FUSIBILE E CONNESSIONE ELETTRICA
Disconnettersi sempre dalla fonte di alimentazione prima di riparare o sostituire il fusibile e assicurarsi di sostituirlo con lo stesso tipo e dimensioni di fusibile. Interrompere
l’alimentazione prima di spostare, riparare e pulire l’unità. Un cablaggio elettrico errato
può invalidare la garanzia del prodotto.
Per evitare scosse elettriche, tutti gli apparecchi devono essere collegati a circuiti con
una terra adatta. Non accendere e spegnere l’apparecchiatura in breve tempo.

Questo manuale utente è stato creato per fornire sia una panoramica dei controlli, sia
informazioni su come usarli.
1.1. Disimballaggio
Il tuo 4LEDKIT-PRO è stato accuratamente imballato in due cartoni per garantire un trasporto sicuro. Nonostante questo, si consiglia di esaminare attentamente gli imballaggi

2. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE
Quando l’esigenza di dare un tono di colore alle proprie serate musicali o DJ passa dalla
semplicità d’uso, la trasportabilità e i beneci della moderna tecnologia LED, ecco che
SOUNDSATION 4LEDKIT-PRO diventa il riferimento per tutti i musicisti, DJ e operatori
dello spettacolo. Quattro modelli con potenze e funzioni differenziate per abbracciare
grosso modo tutte le possibili esigenze. 4LEDKIT-PRO è stato progettato per essere
un sistema di illuminazione all-in-one con tutti gli accessori in un unico pacchetto,
comprensivi di supporto tripode con borsa, pedaliera per il controllo immediato delle
principali funzioni, barra a “T” con 4 fari orientabili e borsa inclusa, interfaccia DMX-512
integrata per consentire il controllo remoto tramite centraline DMX. Le tecnologie di
emissione luminose spaziano dalla combinazione di LED RGB a singoli colori, alla RGB
3in1, RGB 3in1 COB, alla RGBW 4in1. Gli angoli di emissione vanno dal beam a 16° no
al wash a 90° nel caso del modello COB.

4. INSTALLAZIONE
SOUNDSATION 4LEDKIT-PRO può essere installato a pavimento, a parete, a softto o su
tralicci.
AVVISI:
A. È richiesto l’uso di un cavo di sicurezza (LW3-76A o LW4-76A venduto separa-
tamente) se il prodotto è appeso a una parete, a un softto o su un traliccio.
B. Non lasciare mai che il prodotto oscilli liberamente.
C. Se il prodotto è appeso a una parete, a un softto o ad un traliccio, assicurarsi
che il materiale per l’installazione e/o il traliccio possano sostenere un carico
minimo di 10 volte il peso del dispositivo.

5. CONNESSIONE ALLA RETE ELETTRICA
Collegare il dispositivo alla rete elettrica con il cavo di alimentazione in dotazione.
Quando si collega l’alimentazione al si prega di controllare che la tensione di alimenta-
zione e la frequenza siano le stesse indicate per il dispositivo La corrispondenza dei li

ATTENZIONE: La terra deve essere collegata! Prestare attenzione alla sicurez-
za! Prima di essere messa in funzione per la prima volta, l’installazione deve
essere approvata da un esperto.
6. CONNESSIONE DMX
Gli apparecchi DMX sono progettati per ricevere dati attraverso una catena seriale a
cascata. Questo tipo di connessione permette di connettere il DATA OUT di un dispositivo al DATA IN del dispositivo successivo. L’ordine in cui i dispositivi sono collegati
non è importante e non ha alcun effetto su come un controllore comunica a ciascuna
apparecchiatura. Utilizzare un ordine che preveda il cablaggio più semplice e diretto.

Collegare i dispositivi utilizzando un cavo bipolare schermato a 2 conduttori con
connettori XLR maschio-femmina a 3 poli. La connessione dello schermo è il piedino 1,
mentre il piedino 2 è negativo (S-)e il piedino 3 è positivo (S +).
ATTENZIONE: I li non devono entrare in contatto l’uno con l’altro; altrimenti
i dispositivi non funzioneranno affatto o non funzioneranno correttamente.
6.1. Terminatore DMX
DMX è un protocollo di comunicazione elastico, tuttavia si potrebbero vericare occasionalmente degli errori. Le terminazioni riducono gli errori di segnale, e quindi le

migliori applicazioni includono l’uso di una terminazione in tutte le circostanze. Se si
vericano problemi con un comportamento irregolare dell’apparecchio, specialmente
sulla lunghezza dei cavi di segnale, un terminale può aiutare a migliorare le prestazioni.
Il terminatore DMX è semplicemente un connettore XLR con un resistore da 120Ω
(ohm), 1/4 Watt collegato attraverso il segnale (-) e il segnale (+), rispettivamente, i pin
2 e 3, che viene quindi inserito nella presa di uscita sull’ultimo proiettore nella catena.

Un cavo di segnale DMX standard può trasmette segnali a 20 unità al massi-
mo. E’ necessario un amplicatore di segnale per collegare più apparecchi.

Collegare il cavo di alimentazione a una presa AC correttamente congurata per il
modello specico. In caso di bruciatura del fusibile, per prevenire il rischio di incendio
o danneggiare l’unità, utilizzare solo un tipo di fusibile consigliato come descritto nella
sezione “10. SPECIFICHE” a pagina 37. Prima di sostituire il fusibile, assicurarsi che
l’unità sia spenta e scollegata dalla presa AC.

Tutte le funzioni 4LEDKIT-PRO sono selezionabili utilizzando i pulsanti UP e DOWN sul
pannello di controllo come descritto in “7.1. Pannello di Controllo” a pagina 29.
Di seguito è riportata una spiegazione delle funzioni del dispositivo
1)^SELEZIONE DEL CANALE DMX
Dopo la selezione della funzione premendo il pulsante ENTER, è possibile
scegliere il canale DMX desiderato per gestire il dispositivo tramite un controller DMX.
Una volta impostato il canale, premere il pulsante ENTER per confermare il valore.
L’intervallo di questo parametro è A001 -> A512
2)^SELEZIONE DEL MODO AUTO
La funzione consente di selezionare una delle 3 modalità AUTO disponibili
(AUT1 -> AUT3). Dopo la selezione, premendo il pulsante ENTER, verrà mostrato un
sotto-menu in cui è possibile modicare la velocità della modalità AUTO selezionata.
L’intervallo di questo parametro è SP-1 -> SP-9. Premere il tasto ENTER per confermare.
3)^SELEZIONE DEL MODO SOUND
La funzione consente di selezionare una delle 5 modalità SOUND disponibili (SOU1 -> SOU5). Dopo la selezione della modalità SOUND, premendo il pulsante
ENTER, verrà mostrato un sotto-menu in cui è possibile regolare la sensibilità del microfono incorporato. L’intervallo di questo parametro è SC-1 -> SC-9. Premere il pulsante
ENTER per confermare il valore
4)^SELEZIONE DEL MODO CHASE
La funzione consente di selezionare una delle 5 modalità CHASE disponibili (C 1 -> C 5). Dopo la selezione, premendo il pulsante ENTER, verrà mostrato un
sotto-menu in cui è possibile modicare la velocità della modalità CHASE selezionata.
L’intervallo di questo parametro è SP-1 -> SP-9. Premere il pulsante ENTER per confermare il valore.
5)^CONFIGURAZIONE NUMERO CANALI DMX
4LEDKIT-PRO può avere due diverse modalità di canali per essere gestito da un control-
ler DMX. La funzione che consente la selezione della modalità è .
Le due modalità possibili sono 6Ch e 18Ch. Premere il pulsante ENTER per confermare
la modalità selezionata.

6)^SELEZIONE COLORE
La funzione consente di attivare uno dei 9 colori disponibili pre-impostati.
Sul display verrà mostrato il colore corrente selezionato (CoL1 -> CoL9).
In questa funzione, inoltre, è possibile accedere al sotto-menu in cui sono
presenti i seguenti parametri:
f r 000....255 - Intensità del ROSSO sul colore bianco di base:
f G 000....255 - Intensità del VERDE sul colore bianco di base.

7)^MODO SLAVE
Utilizzando la funzione , è possibile collegare più unità e gestirle in modo
sincronizzato:
f Utilizzare cavi DMX per collegare due o più unità insieme dal connettore DMX OUT
al connettore DMX IN.
f La prima unità è la MASTER e tutte le unità collegate devono essere impostate
come SLAVE premendo il pulsante ENTER (SLAU -> SLA).
f Utilizzare l’unità MASTER in modalità automatica (AUTO), Color (CoLo), SOUND
(SOUn) o CHASE (CHAS) per utilizzare l’intero sistema. L’intera catena di unità SLA-
VE funzionerà come l’unità MASTER.

11. GARANZIA E ASSISTENZA
Tutti i prodotti SOUNDSATION dispongono di una garanzia di due anni. Questa garanzia di due
anni è valida dalla data di acquisto, come indicato dal documento di acquisto.
I seguenti casi / componenti non sono coperti dalla garanzia di cui sopra:
• Tutti gli accessori forniti con il prodotto
• Uso improprio
• Guasto dovuto all’usura
• Ogni modica del prodotto effettuata dall’utente o da terzi
SOUNDSATION deve soddisfare gli obblighi di garanzia dovuti a eventuali materiali non conformi
o difetti di fabbricazione, rimediando gratuitamente e a discrezione di SOUNDSATION sia mediante riparazione o sostituendo singole parti o l’intero apparecchio. Eventuali parti difettose rimosse
da un prodotto durante il corso di una richiesta di garanzia diventano di proprietà di SOUNDSATION.
Durante il periodo di garanzia, i prodotti difettosi possono essere restituiti al rivenditore SOUNDSATION locale con prova di acquisto originale. Per evitare danni durante il trasporto, si prega di
utilizzare l’imballo originale, se disponibile. In alternativa è possibile inviare il prodotto a SERVICE
CENTER SOUNDSATION - Via Enzo Ferrari, 10 - 62017 Porto Recanati - Italia. Per poter inviare un
prodotto al centro di assistenza è necessario un numero di RMA. Le spese di trasporto devono
essere coperte dal proprietario del prodotto.
