Before you start
With the Sony Ericsson Remote Update Service you can remotely update your mobile phone to the latest
available software version. This is done via the mobile network, no computer connection is needed.
To be able to access the Remote Update Service with your phone, you need:
• A phone subscription that has data transmission.
• Data account settings for access to an Internet server.
• An Internet profile with settings for Web browsing.
• Enough memory free for download (1–5 MB).
• Battery charged (over 50%).
• Enough network coverage (recommended).
• Enough bandwidth in a network (generally phone calls have higher priority then data traffic).
• An operator network without proxy limitation for data traffic larger than 1 MB.
Your phone may already have Internet profile and data account settings when you buy it.
If your phone does not have the Internet profile and data account settings you will receive an automatic
text message with the required settings or you can receive and enter them yourself.
Support documents, settings and more information are available at www.sonyericsson.com/support.
You may also have to register as an Internet user with your network operator or service provider.
