Do not install the appliance in a confined space, such as a bookcase or built-in cabinet. Should you notice an abnormality in the apparatus, disconnect the main plug from the AC outlet immediately.

Installing the Battery

To keep good time, your Dream Machine needs one 6F22 battery (not supplied), in addition to house current. The battery keeps the clock operating in the event of a power interruption. Before setting the time on your Dream Machine, open the lid at the bottom of the unit, install the battery with correct polarity and then close the lid. After a power interruption, the displayed time may not be always correct (It may gain or lose about 10 minutes per hour).

Knowing When to Replace the Battery

To check the battery power, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and plug it in again after a few minutes. If the displayed time is incorrect, replace the battery with a new one.

Changing the Brightness of the Clock display

Turn BRIGHTNESS to adjust the brightness of the clock display.

Setting the Clock

1 Plug in the unit.

The display will flash “AM 12:00”or “0:00”.

2 Set the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET

switch to CLOCK.

3 PressFAST+ or – to adjust the time.

When you press FAST+, the time is raised rapidly. When you press FAST–, the time is lowered rapidly. When you press +, the time is raised in one-minute steps.

4 Set the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET

switch to HOLD.

Make sure that the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET switch is set to HOLD. When it is set to HOLD, you cannot see the red label underneath. Otherwise, the displayed time might be changed if FAST+ or – happens to be pressed.

The clock system varies depending on the model you own. 12-hour system: “AM 12:00”=midnight 24-hour system: “0:00”=midnight

To display minute and second, press SNOOZE. Example: When the current time is 7:15:10, the display will become:

The display returns to the current time when you release SNOOZE. To adjust the time exactly to the second, press + briefly with the time signal.

Operating the Radio

1 Press RADIO ON to turn on the radio. 2 Adjust volume using VOL. 3 Select the BAND. 4 Tune into a station using TUNE.

To turn off the radio Press ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF.

Improving the Reception

FM: Extend the FM wire antenna fully to improve FM

reception.

AM: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum

reception. A ferrite bar antenna is built into the unit.

Setting the Alarm

This radio is equipped with 3 alarm modes – RADIO, BUZZER and RADIO+BUZZER. Before setting the

alarm, make sure to set the clock (see “Setting the Clock”).

To set the radio alarm, first tune in to a station and adjust the volume.

1 Set the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET

switch to RADIO or BUZZER.

2 Press FAST+ or – to select the desired time.

When you press FAST+, the time is raised rapidly. When you press FAST–, the time is lowered rapidly. When you press +, the time is raised in one-minute steps.

3 Set the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET

switch to HOLD.

Make sure that the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET switch is set to HOLD after setting the clock. When it is set to HOLD, you cannot see the red label underneath.

4 Set the ALARM MODE switch to RADIO,

BUZZER or RADIO+BUZZER.

The ALARM RADIO or ALARM BUZZER indicator lights up. When you set both alarm times, both ALARM RADIO and ALARM BUZZER indicators light up.

The alarm will come on at the preset time and will automatically turn itself off after about 59 minutes. If the same alarm time is set for both RADIO and

BUZZER, RADIO will take priority.

To check the alarm setting

Set the ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET switch to RADIO or BUZZER.

To Doze for a Few More Minutes

Press SNOOZE. The radio or buzzer turns off but will automatically come on again after about 6 minutes. You can repeat this process as many times as you like.

To Stop the Alarm

Press ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF to turn off the alarm. The alarm will come on again at the same time the next day.

To Deactive the Alarm

Set the ALARM MODE switch to OFF. ALARM RADIO, ALARM BUZZER or both

indicators will be turned off.

To Adjust the Alarm Level (ALARM VOL)

Select the volume of the alarm by setting ALARM VOL to HIGH or LOW.

Note If you select the RADIO+BUZZER mode, set the BUZZER alarm time earlier than the RADIO alarm

time, and then use the SNOOZE button to turn off the buzzer, the radio will not come on even if the RADIO alarm time comes during the snooze period; only the buzzer will come back on after the snooze period is over.

Setting the Sleep Timer

Enjoy falling asleep to the radio using the built-in sleep timer.

Press SLEEP. The radio turns on. You can set the sleep timer to durations up to 59 minutes. When you keep pressing SLEEP, the time is lowered in one-minute steps.

When you press FAST+ or FAST– while holding down SLEEP, the time is changed rapidly. When you press + while holding down SLEEP, the time is raised in oneminute steps. The radio will play for the time you set, then turn off.

To turn off the radio before the preset time Press ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF.

Precautions

• Operate the unit on the power source specified in “Specifications”.

• The nameplate indicating operating voltage, etc. is located at the bottom of the unit.

• To disconnect the power cord (mains lead), pull it out by the plug, not the cord.

• The unit is not disconnected from the AC power source (mains) as long as it is connected to the wall outlet even if the unit itself has been turned off.

• Do not leave the unit in a location near a heat source such as a radiator or airduct, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, mechanical vibration, or shock.

• Allow adequate air circulation to prevent internal heat build-up. Do not place the unit on a surface (a rug, a blanket, etc.) or near materials (a curtain) which might block the ventilation holes.

• Should any solid object or liquid fall into the unit, unplug the unit and have it checked by a qualified personnel before operating it any further.

• To clean the casing, use a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution.

• Do not connect the antenna lead to an external antenna.

Battery Warning

When the unit will be left unplugged for a long time, remove the battery to avoid undue battery discharge and damage to the unit from battery leakage.

Mise en place de la pile

Pour que le radioréveil reste toujours à l’heure, vous devez utiliser une pile 6F22 (non fournie) en plus du courant domestique. Le radioréveil restera ainsi à l’heure en cas d’interruption de courant. Avant de régler l’heure sur votre radioréveil, ouvrez le couvercle sous l’appareil, installez la pile en respectant la polarité, puis refermez le couvercle. Après une panne de courant, l’horloge risque de ne pas être à l’heure (elle peut avancer ou retarder de 10 minutes par heure.)

Quand remplacer la pile

Pour vérifier la capacité de la pile, débranchez le cordon d’alimentation de la prise murale et rebranchez-le au bout de quelques minutes. Si l’heure affichée n’est pas juste, remplacez la pile par une neuve.

Modification de la luminosité de l’affichage de l’horloge

Tournez le bouton BRIGHTNESS pour régler la luminosité de l’affichage de l’horloge.

Réglage de l’horloge

1 Branchez l’appareil.

« AM 12:00 » ou « 0:00 » clignote.

2 Réglez le commutateur ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET sur CLOCK.

3 Appuyez sur FAST+ ou – pour ajuster

l’heure.

Lorsque vous appuyez sur FAST+, l’heure augmente rapidement. Lorsque vous appuyez sur FAST–, l’heure diminue rapidement. Lorsque vous appuyez sur +, l’heure augmente par incréments d’une minute.

4 Réglez le commutateur ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET sur HOLD.

Veillez à bien régler le commutateur ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET sur HOLD, sinon l’heure

indiquée risque de changer si vous appuyez involontairement sur FAST+ ou –. Le commutateur est réglé sur HOLD lorsque le nom rouge en dessous n’apparaît pas.

Le système horaire varie selon le modèle. Système 12 heures : « AM 12:00 » = minuit Système 24 heures : « 0:00 » = minuit Pour afficher les minutes et les secondes, appuyez sur SNOOZE. Exemple : S’il est 7:15:10, l’affichage indique :

L’heure actuelle est à nouveau indiquée lorsque vous relâchez SNOOZE. Pour régler l’heure à la seconde près, appuyez brièvement sur + au top horaire.

Ecoute de la radio

1 Appuyez sur RADIO ON pour allumer la

radio.

2 Ajustez le volume à l’aide de VOL. 3 Sélectionnez BAND. 4 Syntonisez une station à l’aide de TUNE.

Pour éteindre la radio Appuyez sur ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF.

Amélioration de la réception

FM : Déroulez complètement l’antenne fil pour

améliorer la réception FM.

AM : Faites pivoter le radioréveil à l’horizontale

jusqu’à ce que vous trouviez la meilleure position de réception. Une antenne barre de ferrite est intégrée à l’appareil.

Réglage de l’alarme

La radio a 3 modes d’alarme – RADIO, BUZZER et RADIO+BUZZER. Avant de régler l’alarme, il faut

mettre l’horloge à l’heure (voir « Réglage de l’horloge »).

Pour régler l’alarme radio, accordez d’abord une station et réglez le volume.

1 Réglez le commutateur ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET sur RADIO ou BUZZER.

2 Appuyez sur FAST+ ou – pour sélectionner

l’heure souhaitée.

3 Réglez le commutateur ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET sur HOLD.

N’oubliez pas de mettre le commutateur ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET sur HOLD après le réglage de

l’horloge. Lorsqu’il est sur HOLD, le nom rouge en dessous n’apparaît pas.

4 Réglez le commutateur ALARM MODE sur

RADIO, BUZZER ou RADIO+BUZZER.

L’indicateur ALARM RADIO ou ALARM BUZZER s’allume. Lorsque vous réglez les deux heures d’alarme, les deux indicateurs ALARM RADIO et ALARM BUZZER s’allument.

L’alarme s’active à l’heure préréglée et s’arrête automatiquement 59 minutes plus tard environ. Si vous réglez la même heure pour RADIO et BUZZER, la RADIO aura la priorité.

Pour vérifier le réglage de l’alarme

Réglez le commutateur ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET sur RADIO ou BUZZER.

Pour sommeiller quelques minutes de plus

Appuyez sur SNOOZE. La radio ou la sonnerie s’éteint, puis se rallume automatiquement après environ 6 minutes. Répétez l’opération aussi souvent que vous le souhaitez.

Pour éteindre l’alarme

Appuyez sur ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF pour éteindre l’alarme. L’alarme se met de nouveau en route le jour suivant, à la même heure.

Pour désactiver l’alarme

Réglez le commutateur ALARM MODE sur OFF. L’indicateur ALARM RADIO ou ALARM BUZZER, ou les deux, s’éteignent.

Pour régler le volume de l’alarme (ALARM VOL)

Sélectionnez le volume de l’alarme en réglant ALARM VOL sur HIGH ou LOW.

Remarque

Si vous sélectionnez le mode RADIO+BUZZER et vous réglez l’heure de l’alarme BUZZER plus tôt que l’heure de l’alarme RADIO, puis que vous utilisez la touche SNOOZE pour arrêter la sonnerie, la radio ne s’allumera pas même si l’heure de l’alarme RADIO survient pendant la période de rappel de l’alarme. Seule la sonnerie retentira à la fin de la période de rappel de l’alarme.

Réglage du temporisateur

Pour vous endormir au son de la radio, utilisez le temporisateur.

Appuyez sur SLEEP. La radio s’allume. Vous pouvez régler le temporisateur sur différentes durées, jusqu’à 59 minutes. Si vous maintenez la pression sur SLEEP, la durée diminue par incréments d’une minute.

Pour changer plus rapidement la durée, appuyez sur FAST+ ou FAST– tout en maintenant SLEEP enfoncé. Quand vous appuyez sur + en maintenant SLEEP enfoncé, la durée augmente par incréments d’une minute. La radio fonctionne pendant la durée préréglée, puis s’arrête.

Pour éteindre la radio avant l’heure préréglée Appuyez sur ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF.

Précautions

• Faites fonctionner l’appareil sur les sources d’alimentation mentionnées dans les « Spécifications ».

• La plaque signalétique indiquant la tension et les autres paramètres de fonctionnement est placée au fond de l’appareil.

• Pour débrancher le cordon d’alimentation (cordon secteur), tirez sur la fiche et non pas sur le cordon.

• L’appareil n’est pas isolé de la source d’alimentation secteur tant qu’il est branché sur une prise murale, même si vous le mettez hors tension.

• Ne laissez pas l’appareil à proximité d’une source de chaleur, par exemple un radiateur ou une bouche d’air chaud, ni dans un endroit situé en plein soleil, excessivement poussiéreux, ou soumis à des vibrations ou à des chocs.

• Ne pas poser l’appareil sur une surface moelleuse (comme un tapis, une couverture, etc.) ou près de tissus (comme un rideau ou une tenture) risquant de bloquer les orifices de ventilation. La circulation d’air doit être suffisante pour éviter toute surchauffe interne.

• Si un solide ou un liquide tombe dans l’appareil, débranchez celui-ci et faites-le vérifier par un professionnel avant de le remettre en marche.

• Si le coffret est sale, nettoyez-le avec un chiffon doux légèrement imprégné d’une solution détergente neutre.

• Ne pas connecter le fil de l’antenne à une antenne externe.

Avertissement au sujet de la pile

Si vous devez laisser débranché l’appareil pendant longtemps, enlevez la pile pour éviter qu’elle ne se décharge et qu’une fuite d’électrolyte endommage l’appareil.

Inserimento della pila

Per mantenere l’orario corretto, la Dream Machine necessita di una pila 6F22 (non in dotazione) oltre che della corrente domestica. La pila mantiene il funzionamento dell’orologio in caso di interruzioni della corrente. Prima di regolare l’orario sulla Dream Machine, aprire il coperchio sul fondo dell’apparecchio, inserire la pila con la corretta polarità e richiudere il coperchio. Dopo un’interruzione di corrente l’orario visualizzato può non essere sempre corretto (può perdere o guadagnare circa 10 minuti per ora).

Quando sostituire la pila

Per controllare la carica della pila, scollegare il cavo di alimentazione dalla presa di corrente e ricollegarlo dopo qualche minuto. Se l’orario visualizzato non è corretto, sostituire la pila con un’altra nuova.

Modifica della luminosità del display dell’orologio

Ruotare BRIGHTNESS per regolare la luminosità del display dell’orologio.

Impostazione dell’orologio

1 Collegare l’apparecchio alla presa di corrente.

“AM 12:00” o “0:00” lampeggia sul display.

2 Regolare l’interruttore ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET su CLOCK.

3 Premere FAST+ o – per regolare l’ora.

Quando si preme FAST+, l’ora cambia rapidamente in avanti. Quando si preme FAST–, l’ora cambia rapidamente all’indietro. Quando si preme +, l’ora cambia in scatti di un minuto.

4 Regolare l’interruttore ALARM TIME/

CLOCK SET su HOLD.

Assicurarsi che l’interruttore ALARM TIME/ CLOCK SET sia regolato su HOLD. Quando è

regolato su HOLD, non è possibile vedere l’etichetta rossa sottostante. Altrimenti l’ora visualizzata potrebbe essere cambiata in caso di pressione di FAST+ o –. Per regolare l’ora esattamente al secondo, premere brevemente + contemporaneamente ad un segnale orario.

Miglioramento della ricezione

migliorare la ricezione FM.

AM : ruotare l’apparecchio orizzontalmente per una

ricezione ottimale in quanto l’apparecchio dispone di una barra in ferrite incorporata.

Impostazione della sveglia

Questa radio è dotata di 3 modi di sveglia: RADIO, BUZZER e RADIO+BUZZER. Prima di impostare la

sveglia, verificare di aver impostato l’orologio (vedere “Impostazione dell’orologio”).

Per impostare la sveglia al suono della radio, sintonizzare prima una stazione e regolare il volume.

CLOCK SET su RADIO o BUZZER.

2 Premere FAST+ o – per selezionare l’ora

desiderata.

Verificare che l’interruttore ALARM TIME/ CLOCK SET sia impostato su HOLD dopo aver

regolato l’orologio. Quando è regolato su HOLD, non è possibile vedere l’etichetta rossa sottostante.

4 Regolare l’interruttore ALARM MODE su

RADIO, BUZZER o RADIO+BUZZER.

L’indicatore ALARM RADIO o ALARM BUZZER si illumina. Quando si impostano entrambi gli orari di sveglia, entrambi gli indicatori ALARM RADIO e ALARM BUZZER si illuminano.

L’allarme si attiva all’ora impostata e si disattiva automaticamente dopo circa 59 minuti. Se viene impostato lo stesso orario sia per l’allarme RADIO che per l’allarme BUZZER (suoneria), l’allarme RADIO avrà la priorità.

Per controllare l’impostazione dell’allarme

Impostare l’interruttore ALARM TIME/CLOCK SET su RADIO o su BUZZER.

Per disattivare momentaneamente la sveglia

Premere SNOOZE. La radio o il cicalino si disattivano ma vengono attivati di nuovo automaticamente dopo circa 6 minuti. È possibile ripetere questa operazione ogni volta che lo si desidera.

Per arrestare la sveglia

Premere ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF per arrestare la sveglia. La sveglia viene attivata di nuovo il giorno seguente alla stessa ora.

Per disattivare la sveglia

Impostare l’interruttore ALARM MODE su OFF. L’indicatore ALARM RADIO, l’indicatore ALARM

BUZZER o entrambi scompariranno.

Per regolare il livello di volume della sveglia (ALARM VOL)

Selezionare il volume della sveglia impostando ALARM VOL su HIGH o su LOW.

Nota

Se si seleziona il modo RADIO+BUZZER, si imposta la sveglia BUZZER per un’ora precedente a quella della sveglia RADIO e quindi si usa il tasto SNOOZE per fermare la suoneria, la radio non si attiva anche se arriva l’ora della sveglia RADIO durante questo periodo di pausa; solo la suoneria si attiva di nuovo quando è trascorso il periodo di pausa.

Impostazione del timer di autospegnimento

È possibile addormentarsi al suono della radio usando il timer di autospegnimento incorporato.

Premere SLEEP. La radio si accende. Si può impostare il timer di autospegnimento per durate fino a 59 minuti. Se si tiene premuto SLEEP, il tempo diminuisce in scatti di un minuto.

Se si preme FAST+ o FAST– mentre si tiene premuto SLEEP, il tempo cambia rapidamente. Se si preme + mentre si tiene premuto SLEEP, il tempo aumenta in scatti di un minuto. La radio è udibile per il tempo impostato e qundi si spegne automaticamente.

Per disattivare la radio prima del tempo preimpostato Premere ALARM RESET•RADIO OFF.

Precauzioni

• Usare l’apparecchio con le fonti di alimentazione specificate in “Caratteristiche tecniche”.

• La targhetta indicante la tensione operativa e così via si trova nella parte inferiore esterna.

• Per scollegare il cavo di alimentazione, tirarlo afferrandone la spina, non tenendo il cavo.

• L’apparecchio non è scollegato dalla fonte di alimentazione CA (corrente di rete) fintanto che è collegato alla presa a muro, anche se l’apparecchio stesso è stato spento.

• Non lasciare l’apparecchio nei pressi di fonti di calore come caloriferi o bocche dell’aria calda, o in luoghi esposti a luce solare diretta, polvere eccessiva, vibrazioni meccaniche o scosse.

• Permettere una circolazione d’aria adeguata per evitare accumuli di calore. Non collocare l’apparecchio su superfici (tappeti, coperte, ecc.) o vicino a materiali (tende) che possano bloccare i fori di ventilazione.

• Se oggetti o liquidi penetrano nell’apparecchio, scollegare l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente e farlo controllare da personale qualificato prima di usarlo ulteriormente.

• Per pulire il rivestimento usare un panno morbido inumidito con una blanda soluzione detergente.

Avvertenza sulla pila

Quando l’apparecchio rimane scollegato dalla presa di corrente per lunghi periodi, estrarre la pila per evitare uno scaricamento eccessivo e danni all’apparecchio dovuti a perdite del fluido della pila.

• He оcтaвляйтe aппapaт pядом c иcточникaми тeплa, тaкими кaк бaтapeи отоплeния или вeнтиляционныe кaнaлы, в мecтax попaдaния пpямыx cолнeчныx лyчeй, a тaкжe в мecтax cкоплeния пыли; нe подвepгaйтe aппapaт воздeйcтвию вибpaции и нe допycкaйтe eго cильныx cотpяceний.

• Oбecпeчьтe нaдлeжaщyю циpкyляцию воздyxa для пpeдотвpaщeния нaгpeвa внyтpи aппapaтa. He ycтaнaвливaйтe aппapaт нa повepxноcть (ковep, одeяло и т.д.) или pядом c мaтepиaлaми (зaнaвecки), котоpыe могyт пepeкpывaть вeнтиляционныe отвepcтия.
