CHIMERA

Single-channel preamplifier / DI box

The Chimera hybrid preamp is a single-channel preamp/
DI box that offers 2 discrete vintage-design circuits.
With a full 60dB of distortion-free headroom at your
disposal, you can choose between the crystal-clear,
lightning-quick transient response of the solid-state

amplifier or the smooth, natural compression served
up by the valve preamp. Further fine adjustments can
be made using the 6-step high-pass filter, attenuation
and phase controls, enabling Chimera to create an
infinite number of sonic colorations.

Chimera has a transformer-balanced input and is

able to handle analogue signals at line level, DI’d

instruments, and any microphone, phantom-powered,

ribbon or dynamic. It has balanced XLR and Jack I/O, a

TRS jack insert point, an I/O VU meter, signal and clip
LEDs and a 32-step master output control. Chimera
is the perfect analogue preamp/DI solution for anyone
with recording, broadcast or sound reinforcement
needs.
