Descript ion
The FRIDGEGUARD (rated at 6Amps maximum) is design ed to protect your a ppliances (Fridge, Freez er, Pump,
Motor) against voltage fluc tuations and espec ially low power, brown outs, frequent p ower cuts, and po wer back
surges.
AVS™ functio n
The FRIDGEG UARD will disconnect the power to your appli ance if the mains volta ge drops below or ab ove a preset limit. T he FRIDGEGUARD will re -connect automat ically only after the supply has return ed to acceptable limit s
after a 3 minute wait time.
TimeSave™ func tion
The Tim eSave™ function will ensure the FRIDGEGUARD pr ovides maximum operation tim e to your app liance by
having built-in intel ligence to check the off time. If the un it has been off for more than 3 minutes , it will reconnect
the mains wi thin 10 seconds rather than the standard 3 minutes.
iSense™ fun ction
The iS ense™ technolo gy allows you to control how sensitive the FRIDGE GUARD is to voltage
problems. Using the iSense™ dial yo u can set the des ired level of prote ction.
(H) High setting ensures greater protection b y narrowing the acceptable voltage limit s. This
is ideal for users with less er ratic mains supply t hat require bette r protection, t ypically in main
cities wher e the power supply is fairly stable .
(L) Low se tting ensures more working time as it wi ll tolerate wid er acceptable vo ltage limits.
This is ideal for use rs with more er ratic mains supply that const antly switch es off, providing
wider wind ow of acceptable vol tage limits.
Please re ad carefully
1. Make sure that your load does not exceed the rating of the FRIDGEGUARD which is
6Amps. If this is exceeded, the FRIDGEGUARD may be damaged, and the warranty will
be void.
2. Plug the FRIDGEGUARD into the mains and plug the appliance into the FRIDGEGUARD.
3. Do not con nect more than one appliance to the FRIDGEGUARD.

the FRIDGEG UARD monitors the mains. If the mains level is acce ptable the yello w LED
➋ comes on, i ndicating that the FRI DGEGUARD is in wait mo de. At the end of the wait
mode and i f the supply is wit hin the acceptable range, the green LED ➌ will come on
and the loa d will be connec ted.
5. In normal op eration, if the red LED comes on, indicatin g the incoming voltag e is too
low or too high, the FRI DGEGUARD will switch off th e power to protect your appl iance,
starting the 3 minute time de lay. When the volt age returns to a cceptable li mits, the
yellow LED will come on. After the t ime delay is ov er, the green LED will come on and
the power w ill be connected to your appliance.
6. The FR IDGEGUARD is fuse d intern ally. The rating of the f use is 6Amps. Changing
of the f use is only authorised at Sollatek service centres (see www.sol latek.com for
full lis ting). If th e unit is opened or tampered with by an unauthori sed individua l the

7. It is recomm ended that the FRIDGEGUARD is kept plugged i n and switched on, and
the applianc e is switched on an d off as require d.
