4.2 SOLARWATT EnergyManager
DANGER
The SOLARWATT EnergyManager should only be commissioned by a quali ed electri-
cian! There is a risk of electric shock!
Intended use
The product has been built using state-of-the-art technology and generally recognized good engineering practices. However, damage to the device and other property may occur if the device is used improperly or not as intended. The product is used for energy management in a household. Any use other than or beyond this intended use is considered incorrect usage. The manufacturer/supplier is not liable for the resulting damages. The owner solely bears the risk. The intended use also requires compliance with the operating and installation manual and all other applicable documents.
General safety instructions
Installation of the product may only be carried out by a recognized skilled technician. This person also assumes responsibility for the correct installation and commissioning.
Observe all safety instructions provided on the packaging and affi xed to the device when
working with the product. Check to ensure that there is no damage to the device, the accessories and the mains adapter prior to commissioning and on a regular basis during operation. In case of doubt, have an electrician inspect the equipment to ensure that it is sound. If there is any damage to the product or repairs are needed, these tasks may only be entrusted to authorized persons. Ensure that the appropriate mains adapter is used and that the mains voltage of the unit matches the mains voltage in your country.
The product should only be operated with the mains adapter supplied. If a di erent 24 V
mains adapter is used, the manufacturer/supplier shall not be held liable for any resulting damages. Do not open the EnergyManager or the mains adapter! Removal of or damage to
the housing may expose live parts and impair the function of the equipment.
Prevention of damage
The product is exclusively intended for installation in dry, dust-free indoor areas. Protect
the unit from dust, damp, moisture, aggressive substances and vapors. The ambient temperature must lie between -10°C and +50°C. Do not touch any electronic components or connections on the EnergyManager, because this may damage or destroy the equipment. Ground before working on the device. When connecting the mains adapter, ensure that the mains adapter is not placed in a warm environment in the immediate vicinity of a cold
environment and ensure suffi cient temperature equalization. Commissioning when there
is condensation on the equipment poses a life-threatening danger! If the product or mains adapter is damaged or destroyed, it must immediately be decommissioned by a quali-
 ed expert. Only operate the product when the device is in technically sound condition. Always contact a quali ed technician when there are error messages on the device.

Data security
In order to be able to make full use of the product’s scope of functions, the device should be connected to the local network and the internet. Although the communication channel between the product and the internet services is secured using state-of-the-art technology, connection to the network/internet entails security risks: Third parties could gain access to your network and misuse your energy data. Please proceed cautiously by using passwords to enable access to your network, as you would to protect the data on your computer. Protection of your personal energy data has the highest priority. The EnergyManager platform is continuously updated to state-of-the-art security technology in order to guarantee that energy data can only be viewed by the owner and authorized participants. The data collected by the EnergyManager may dier from the data of the electric meter. The EnergyManager data is not suitable for billing purposes.

6.1 MyReserve Cluster in the topology of the household
The MyReserve Cluster can be integrated into the topology of the household installation of your customer in various ways.
6.1.1. Topologies of the building installation > MyReserve Cluster and ONE PV system
The MyReserve Cluster is connected to ONE inverter (=PV system). The AC Sensor of the Cluster is the main EnergyManager meter. The PV system connected to the Cluster must
always be wired on the building side.

6.2 Installation
In order to install the EnergyManager in combination with a MyReserve Cluster, please follow the installation instructions for the SOLARWATT EnergyManager and observe the information from Chapter 5 of these instructions.
Important: You only have to establish a CAN connection between AC-Sen-
sor and EnergyManager for connection to the SOLARWATT EnergyManager one time, even if the Cluster is made up of two MyReserve units.
6.3 EnergyManager Setup for integration of a MyReserve Cluster
6.3.1. EnergyManager settings > Add Cluster units
After installation of the units and access to the setup interface of the EnergyManager (see
"SOLARWATT EnergyManager installation instructions"), the units are integrated via Interfaces/drivers and the Easy Install function.
Important: A MyReserve Cluster must always be integrated into the system
via the Interfaces/drivers menu item.
Under Settings, select Interfaces/drivers and then CAN. MyReserve is already displayed automatically.
MyReserve Cluster is operated with an inverter for both units, so you only have to select the driver and then Save.

EnergyManager settings > EnergyManager Portal setup > PV system category
The PV system category is provided for unique identi cation of all of your customer's PV system in the system.
If MyReserve Cluster is operated with only one inverter for both storage systems, you
only have to assign ONE PV system. So assign a unique name to the PV system to which the MyReserve Cluster is connected.
Then, select the integrated MyReserve PV virtual device in the dropdown menu under Inverters/Yield meters in order to assign it to the PV system.
If MyReserve Cluster is operated with only one inverter per storage system, you have to
assign both PV systems. Con rm the plus symbol
after the PV system category on the
Setup start screen to assign the second system.
Also assign a unique name to the PV system to which the second MyReserve unit is con-
nected. Then, select the integrated MyReserve PV (Master) virtual device in the dropdown menu under Inverters/Yield meters in order to assign it to the PV system.

EnergyManager settings > EnergyManager Portal setup > Location category
The Location category is provided for uniquely assigning all consumers for the Energy-
Manager to a location in the system so that it can deliver the correct results and gures. Congure all PV systems that are connected to a MyReserve unit as building-side produc-
ers. Congure all MyReserve units as building-side storage batteries.
6.4 EnergyManager Setup for retrotting with MyReserve Cluster
If a MyReserve unit is already present in the system and an additional MyReserve is added, carry out the following steps.
6.4.1. One inverter for both MyReserve units
If the system is operated with one inverter for both MyReserve units, actuate Easy Install in the Devices menu.
The new MyReserve is added to the device list. You do not have to make any changes to
the existing MyReserve PV
6.4.2. One inverter per MyReserve unit
If the future MyReserve Cluster is operated with one inverter per MyReserve unit, select Settings/interfaces/drivers and then CAN. Select the gear symbol to set up the driver and check One inverter per MyReserve. Con-
rm your entry with Save.
Then actuate Easy Install in the Devices menu.
The new MyReserve and an additional MyReserve PV are added to the device list.
Then switch to Applications/Energy Portal Setup.
Create a new PV system and assign the appropriate inverter to the new MyReserve PV. Later, you can also view both PV systems separately in the EnergyManager Portal.
Alternatively, the new MyReserve PV can also be added to an existing PV system.
6.4.3. Settings under Location
Also assign the new MyReserve for both variants under the Location category setup as a building-side storage battery.
