3. Appropriate Use, Installation and connection
The solar module is destined for outdoor use and the recovery of solar energy.
At installation please pay attention to the correct polarity! Follow the designations PLUS (+) and MINUS (-)!
In the following you can see the drawing for the connection of all components of the charge/discharge controller (article no. 03155):
4. Commissioning
1. Take all parts carefully out of the packaging.
2. Position the solar module (article no. 03150) at a very suitable place with direct insolation. Lay all cables carefully and safely.
3. First attach the battery connecting cable (article no. 80083) suitable for a 12V battery (battery is no included in delivery!) to the two connections in the middle. Connect the lead marked with PLUS (+) with „B+“ and the lead marked with MINUS (-) with „B-“.
Then connect the solar module with the two
4. left connections. Connect the lead marked with PLUS (+) with „S+“ and the lead marked with MINUS (-) with „S-“.
Finally attach the consumers (the load), for

with the two right connections. Connect the lead marked with PLUS (+) with „L+“ and the lead marked with MINUS (-) with „L-“.
4. Continuance Commissioning
6. Purchase a 12V rechargeable battery suitable for this task having enough capacity (Ah) to serve as energy storage. A such rechargeable battery with approx. 36 Ah is recommended. Special rechargeable solar batteries are offered on www.sued-solar.de.
7. Turn the consumer (the load) only on after having the battery sufficiently charged with the aid of the solar module.

7. Technical Data
Solar module:
Nominal voltage : 12 volts DC Effective output : 30 watt peak
Charge controller:
Temperature range : - 20°C to + 50°C
LED lamp:
Total weight : gross approx.5,0 kg / net approx.4,0 kg Technical changes reserved
Further indications, values and data can also be taken from the specification plate oft he solar module.
Model calculation for the evaluation of the operating hours with the help of a 6 watt LED flash light: Summer half-year: On average 5 sun hours at 30 watt module output = 150 watt-hours (Wh).
Example 1: Operation of a 6 watt lamp = 25 hours of lighting. Example 2: Operation of 4 lamps at 6 watt = approx. 6 hours of lighting. A capacity of at least 15 Ah is needed from the 12 volts battery. At higher capacity several daily loadings at 150 Wh can be storaged. Winter half-year: On average 2 sun hours at 30 watt module output = 60 watt-hours (Wh). Example 1: Operation of a 6 watt lamp = 10 hours of lighting. Example 2: Operation of 4 lamps at 6 watt = approx. 2.5 hours of lighting.
On www.sued-solar.de you can find further accessories like for example solar modules, racks for solar modules, solar rechargeable batteries, LED lamps and potential transformers from 12 to 230 volts. In the following three examples of the range:
