4.3. Declare devices
Important prerequisite:
The conguration of the communication gateways and devices connected to DATALOG H80/H81 must be carried out beforehand using the Easy Cong software (see documentation DIRIS G, DIRIS, DIRIS Digiware & Easy Cong).
Once DATALOG H80/H81 has been installed and connected as per the Quick Start instructions, the conguration of DATALOG H80/H81 can then be carried out.

Cong (IP + Modbus Addressing)
Conguration of DATALOG H80/81
Declaring devices in the "Device" tab allows the user to create, congure, and delete the communication gateways and measuring devices that he wishes to manage in DATALOG H80/H81.
4.3.1. Management of communication gateways
The home page of the "Devices" tab allows the user to view and manage all gateways seen by DATALOG H80/H81.
From this page, the user can:
General” tab: Change the name and the description of the general tree structure of the communication gateways seen by DATALOG H80/H81
IP gateways seen by the communication service” tab: Manage all gateways (creation, deletion and modication of associated settings such as the name, IP address and software port)
• Access the settings of each gateway from the list of devices on the left strip of the page

4.3.2. Adding devices to DATALOG H80/H81:
To add devices, the user can right mouse click on the root of the tree (devices tab) to access 2 options:
• The purpose of the "Auto-discovery of devices" function is to identify all devices connected to DATALOG H80/ H81. It allows users to simplify adding devices by scrolling through all devices in DATALOG H80/H81.
The “Add a device” function allows users to create devices, one by one.
4.3.3. Auto discovery of devices

• New device: New devices compared with current conguration
• Modied device: Existing devices in the current conguration, but with some changed settings
• Device in conict: Device for which the conguration conicts with others (example same IP address for
gateways)
• Device not found: Devices not found at the launch of the auto-discovery process, even though they are in the previous conguration
By starting the “Auto-discovery of devices” function, all devices found, classied by gateway, will be presented to the user.
The user can individually select (check / uncheck) devices that he wishes to update in the conguration of
DATALOG H80/H81.

4.4. Declare data
Data is declared by associating the data that the user wishes to collect, store and publish to the application or the external system with the devices created in the previous step.
While declaring SOCOMEC devices, the user selected the prole(s) associated with the device (Energy Efciency, Power Monitoring, Power Quality). These proles include coherent pre-selected variables associated with various SOCOMEC devices that DATALOG H80/H81 can control.
Here is the list of variables in the proles:
Proles Variables
Energy Efciency Positive active energy (Ea+)
Negative active energy (Ea-) Positive reactive energy (Er+) Negative reactive energy (Er-) Apparent energy (Es) History of positive active power levels (P+) History of negative active power levels (p-) History of positive reactive power levels (Q+) History of negative reactive power levels (Q-) History of apparent power levels (S)
Power Monitoring Frequency
Active power (total)
Phase 1 power factor
Phase 2 power factor
Phase 3 power factor
Power Factor (total).
Power Quality Total harmonic distortion of currents (THD I1, THD I2, THDI3, THD IN)
Total harmonic distortion of voltages between phases (THD U12, THDU23, THDU31) Total harmonic distortion of phase to ground voltage (THD V1, THD V2, THD V3)
Organising variables into proles is recognized and available for all Socomec measuring devices. It simplies the conguration of Socomec devices.

4.4.5. Setting the properties of the variables (for the following types: Alarm)
The properties of the variable selected from list (2) are editable in the sidebar (4).
For each variable, the user can set:
• In the “General” tab
- Name: A variable can be renamed
- Deactivated: A set variable can be manually deactivated

type of alarm (On threshold, Differential, Communication fault, Status of the device…). This type of alarm differs depending on the data managed by the device (Voltage, Current, Energy, Temperature, Diagnosis of the communication…)
The elds to lled in differ according to the type of alarm.
In the example shown here, the alarm is an "On threshold"
type, and the following elds must be lled in:
- Value of the threshold: Indicate the threshold that will trigger
the alarm
- Hysteresis in %: State whether this alarm is subject to a
hysteresis phenomenon
- Triggered if: State whether it is a high threshold or a low
threshold
• In the “Data acquisition” tab
The elds to be lled in for this tab differ according to the type of alarm
In our example, the user must ll in the following elds:
- Device: Setting can only be edited in the “Device” tab
- Data: This parameter cannot be modied
- Data polling: The data collection period for the variable can
be set (steps of 10" minimum)

) depending on whether it is DATALOG H80/H81 that establishes the TCP connection (passive mode) or the remote server (active mode).
- Secure communication: Activate a secure session between DATALOG H80/H81 and the remote server
4.5.2. “Publish data” tab
DATALOG H80/H81 publishes data les for each type of selected variable (Load curve, Measurements, Index, Alarm, Status)
For each type of variable, the user:
Consolidated data: species whether he wants a single le for all devices or a le for each device
Send les: denes how often reports should be sent: every X minutes or on a specic day at a specic time of the week (by default the report frequency is disabled - set to “never”)
4.6. Congure the activity report
To monitor DATALOG H80/H81 operations, the user can congure the sending of a periodic activity report.
This report tracks 3 essential aspects of the daily running of DATALOG H80/H81:
• Communication faults between DATALOG H80/H81 and the device
• Quality faults of the data sent to DATALOG H80/H81
• Communication faults with the remote server (HTTP or FTP)

Conguring the Publication of the report comprises:
• setting the frequency with which the report is to be sent: every X minutes or specic day and time of the week (by default the frequency with which reports are to be sent is disabled - set to "never"
stating thee-mail address of the recipients: the user can enter multiple e-mail destination addresses for the activity
report
The e-mail received by the recipients consists of:
• a summary in the body of the e-mail

4.7. Options
This option allows users to dene what type of conguration should be applied to DATALOG H80/H81 when managing the conguration on the home page of this setting tool.
The user has 2 options:
1. update the conguration setting for DATALOG H80/H81 only (identication of DATALOG H80/H81, SMTP mail server and the remote server settings, conguration of the activity report). Applying this type of conguration is faster than a full conguration, particularly when a very large number of devices (several hundred) are connected to DATALOG H80/H81
2. full update of the conguration of DATALOG H80/H81 (conguration of the DATALOG H80/H8 settings as well as the conguration of the devices and associated variable properties). Applying this type of conguration is longer than a limited conguration, but essential if the user has to change the settings of devices connected to DATALOG H80/H81.
To force a full update of the conguration, the user should tick the option (as shown in the diagram below). By default, the option is checked.
