Device Requirements
Charging/operating power: 5 V to 9 V DC
6 V booster included for devices that use 6 V DC
If your device uses higher voltage, boosters are available from select retailers.
Refer to your device’s documentation to verify that it meets the voltage requirements before connecting the Mobile Power Pack.

STEP 1: Charge the Mobile Power Pack
1. Turn on the Mobile Power Pack. With the Socket logo facing upwards,
slide the power switch left. If needed, use a pen.
Slide the appropriate wall plug for your country into the AC adapter
2.
.
3. Plug the AC adapter into the input jack. Plug the other end into an
electrical outlet.
If you forget to turn on the Mobile Power Pack, the LED may blink once after you plug it into an outlet, but the device will not charge.
If your Mobile Power Pack has very low charge, it will get warm while starting to charge and gradually cool down.
STEP 2: Connect the Mobile Power Pack to Your Device
1. With the Mobile Power Pack turned on, insert a USB cable/adapter
the
into
USB port at the top. If needed, use another adapter and/or
booster. Connect it to the charging input jack of your device.
2. Check your device’s LED or battery icon to verify that it is receiving
power, and to determine when your device is fully charged.
3. After you have finished using/charging your device, disconnect the
Mobile Power Pack, or it can lose charge, even if your device is turned off.
To prevent unnecessary discharge, disconnect the Mobile Power Pack when not in use, including during shipping and storage. Some devices, even when fully charged, will continue to draw power if left connected.

AC Adapter
The included AC adapter is the only one certified for recharging the Mobile Power Pack. It features:
Output voltage: 5 V DC
Current limited output capacity: 1 A
WARNING! AC adapters that are NOT current limited to 3 A or below may permanently damage the Mobile Power Pack!
WARNING! DO NOT connect a device when the Mobile Power Pack is connected to the AC charger and the Mobile Power Pack is turned OFF! When the Mobile Power Pack is depleted, you may not be able to charge it and a device simultaneously!
The Mobile Power Pack can be connected to the included AC adapter indefinitely without damage, because it will make sure it is “topped off” and kept fully charged. The high-quality, high-capacity LI ion batteries of the Mobile Power Pack last for more than 500 recharge cycles before losing even 15% of initial capacity.
Circuit Protection
The Mobile Power Pack has protection circuits for over-current,
over-voltage, under-voltage, and short.
The power switch can be used to completely disconnect the battery
from all external loads and rest the protection circuit in case of a short circuit.
Resetting the Mobile Power Pack
If a short circuit occurs at the output, the Mobile Power Pack
automatically disconnects from the short.
After the short is removed, rest the Mobile Power Pack for normal
operation by turning it ON, OFF, and ON again. This will restore the output voltage to 5.0 V, and the product will be ready to use again.
Discharge Voltage/Output
Monitoring circuits indicate two discharge levels.
When the battery is discharged to 90%, the yellow LED will blink
At the second trip point, the 5 V output is disabled, and the output
will discharge at a lower voltage until it falls to 0 V.
For short circuits, or loads that cause a current drain greater than 2 A, the battery protection mechanism will disconnect the units’ output.
To rest the Mobile Power Pack, turn it ON, OFF and ON again.
In the OFF state, all power is removed from the output.
In the ON state, the power will restore all circuits to connected
mode.
Recovering from Deep Discharge
If a terminal device or other load keeps drawing current from the Mobile Power Pack after the Low Voltage LED has begun blinking yellow, the product can eventually become deeply discharged.
When reduced to about 2.2 V, the product’s internal batteries will
automatically disconnect from the terminal device and give zero output voltage.
At this point, when you connect the product to a charger, a slow
pre-charge cycle will begin (~4-5 hours), to protect the Li-ion batteries from damage. The Charging Status LED will not light, and the Low Voltage LED will blink yellow.
After the product reaches 2.5 volts, normal high current charging
will begin, and the Charging Status LED will emit a solid red light.
If the product is left uncharged for exceptionally long periods of time (e.g., more than a year), the internal battery voltage may drop to a point where the Low Voltage LED will not blink when the product is connected to a charger.
Leave the product connected to the charger for 8 hours to see if
normal operation resumes.
If after 8 hours, even the Low Voltage LED does not begin blinking,
the batteries are depleted.
