Compact Full Range Center For Music and Movies - CR7

The center channel is considered to be the most important

inany surround sound system.The CR7 is a compact center,

tuned and built like all Snell speakers — with smooth tonal

balance,excellent dispersion,and high power handling.This

isessential,since the center has the critical task of

reproducingthe dialogue found on movie soundtracks.

We made the CR7 as small as possible without

compromisingperformance by extruding the cabinet from

solid aluminum —saving 1.5-inches from each dimension.

As a D ’Appolito Array,named for our chief engineer Dr.Joe

D ’Appolito Ph.D.,the CR7 has great articulation and a wide

dispersion angle,making it perfect to handle its center

channel responsibilities.This elegant design serves equally

well as an LCR for the left and right main channels.

When three CR7s are used across the front of a

multichannel system, the result is a seamless, timbre

matched soundstage. Voiced to match Snell speakers.The Frequency Response of the CR7 matches the K7,M7, LCR7

and D7 Tower within +1.dB from 80Hz -20kHz,for seamless left /right pans. Fills a typical listening room. Astonishingly, the

CR7 produces 101dB of continuous output from 12 feet away when used with a 75-Watt amplifier. Bass extension suitable

for all movie soundtracks and music recordings. The CR 7 ’s bass extends to 80Hz (-3dB).
